“Why is he going to backyard at this time?” Dawn felt it very strange.
At midnight, who would go to such place.
Dawn want to find out what’s the mystery behind this backyard, so she followed Lucifer from distance.
It was such a risky thing to follow Lucifer.
He has keen senses; with his sharp ears he can easily find out if someone is following him.
So, she has to follow him from that distance from where he can be visible to her, but can’t find her presence.She followed Lucifer to the backyard.
She was not much familiar with this mansion.
As for backyard, it was the first time she had gone there.
Backyard was little kind of scary filled with tall trees, long dried vines, it was very quiet place, not even a birds or insects voice was audible at that time.
Dawn was little scared watching such place “Is he mad! Who comes in such a scary place at the midnight? What a madman!”
She saw Lucifer standing at some distance from her, facing dark trees…
she was not able to see clearly what he was doing because it was so dark at that time.
He seemed to be talking to someone. But to whom is he talking at this time?Dawn was so curious at that time, initially she just wants to find out some evidence about Lucifer so she followed him but now she was more curious about whom he is talking.
She moved closer to him in order to see and hear him properly.She hid behind a giant tree where she was able to see him clearly and tried to eavesdrop him.
In spite of standing near him she was not able to gain the clear view of whom he is talking to.So she dropped the idea to see the person with him and only tried to listen him.
“You easily believed that you can enter quietly in my life and I won’t even realize your presence.
As you know that I hate cheaters.You are a conspirator, who pretends to be innocent. It was time for the hunt.It’s a simple story.A lamb came to meet the tiger in the darkness.You are the poison which was once a medicine.”Dawn could only hear few of these lines. She was startled when she hears these words.
What is he talking about?Who’s conspirator?Lamb… hunt…Poison… medicine…The person on the other side was silent and didn’t responded him not even a single word.
She was so stunned and anxious that she backed away with terror but suddenly she put a step on a fallen dried branch…
Crack…
This sound pierced the silence in the quiet night.
Dawn got terrified; at that moment she could only think of escaping from that place.
So, she quickly ran away from there in fright.If she got caught by Lucifer, she would be in serious trouble. She probably would not be alive to see next morning.
Lucifer ears were sharp, this little sound gained his attention.“Who is there, come out.” Lucifer roared with anger.
Seeing no response, Lucifer quickly walked towards the side from where the sound came.As he reached, he found no one there, but only the broken branch.Lucifer looked around “Who dared to come here?”
Dawn was so terrified that she only thought of running back to her room, but didn’t noticed her footprints left behind due to the soil in the backyard.The backyard soil was unique that was not found anywhere this mansion. The footmarks on the floor were very clear.
Lucifer was smart enough to understand that these footprints are from person who was in backyard now.Also, these footmarks were fresh, earlier when he passed by the hall there were no such marks.He followed the footmarks only to see that they ended just outside Dawn room.
The door was closed shut and there was no sound coming from the room.
He stared at her door with cold and dangerous eyes.He whispered slightly, “You want to play this way!
Fine… I’ll teach you what are the consequences for what you have done.”Then he turned around and left with frightening look.…Inside the room, Dawn calmed herself.
“Don’t worry Dawn, you are safe… He hasn’t found you…
Relax…”Then she quickly returned to her bed and covered herself with blanket and tried hard to sleep.Dawn tossed from one side to another but was not able to sleep.
It was already very late at night but she was not able to avert her mind from today’s incident.
She kept thinking “Whom he was talking to at that time.”
When it was around 4 o’clock in morning, she finally slept.
NEXT MORNING......
Dawn woke up little late as she slept late at night..
suddenly there was knock on the door.
Dawn immediately got up and walked towards the door with sleepy face."Good Morning Miss Autumn, Mr. Seller had called everyone in the house to meet at the hall in five minutes."
Dawn was startled 'Why he is calling everyone in early morning.'
She looked at servant and questioned "Is there something important, why is he calling everyone?"
"I am not aware of this, Miss. Autumn.
