CHAPTER 29

At 9 a.m.,

        Dawn came out of her room and then walked towards the main hall.

When she reached there, she saw Lucifer taking care of Celine.

“Brother, I have already had my breakfast, now please pay attention to your work. I am alright here.”

“But you should drink this milk. It’s good for your health.” Lucifer said dotingly.

“I told you, I already had so much today. You always worry unnecessarily for me.”

“You are my sister and it’s my duty to take care of yours. Don’t complaint like this.”

“okay okay, I’ll drink this…happy now.”

Watching their love for each other, Dawn heart softened.

“He is so different to his family. He is cold to everyone outside, but he is warm hearted to the ones he loves.” Dawn thought while gazing at him.

She was really surprised to see his behavior with his loved ones.

No one had ever thought, this cold looking beast can be so warm-hearted inside.

Dawn was fully occupied in her thoughts while she kept looking at him.

When Lucifer turned his head, he saw her watching him.

When Celine saw them staring at each other she smiled slightly and then coughed, “Dawn, when did you come, we haven’t noticed you.”

Dawn immediately came into her senses; she immediately retracted her eyes on Celine.

It was so embarrassing to be caught like this.

Lucifer had shifted his gaze too, as he said, “I have work to do, I am going now.”

Celine nodded at him.

When he left, Dawn glanced at his direction then looked at Celine and said, “I just came here few minutes ago. You both were busy so thought not to disturb you.”

Celine smiled sweetly, “I feel so lucky, my brother cares about me a lot. He loves and cherishes his family very much.”

“Yes, I can see that.” Dawn smiled.

Dawn then looked in the direction of study room, where Lucifer was busy in call.

“Celine, lets go to the garden area; we should start our exercise there.”

“Let’s go.”

Dawn started her exercise, after they reach in the garden area.

She can see clearly the door of study room. If Lucifer exits the study room, she will know it clearly.

“Celine stretch your legs upward.”

Dawn was busy with Celine when she caught sight of Lucifer exiting the study room.

“It is the good time to interrogate his study room. Maybe I’ll get some information regarding his illegal business.” Dawn thought.

“Celine, I forgot something in my room, you continue with everything I have told you; I’ll join within few minutes.”

Celine nodded.

Dawn quickly left the garden area and soundlessly strolled to the study room as she closed the door.

It was huge room full of multiple business files, papers with a big table and an office chair near the large window.

She quickly moved towards the large window and pressed the button on her makeup transmission device to connect to Ryan.

Call connected within few seconds.

“Ryan, I am in Lucifer’s study room. Tell me what type of proofs I should find?”

“Dawn listen carefully, if he is engaged in illegal business, he must have his customers transaction details, there contact related information.

Anything that can prove his connection to the underworld or is illegal will be helpful to us.

Also, try to open his laptop too, if it’s there.”

“Okay, I got it. Hold on, I’ll report you if I find something.” With this Dawn put the device on the window and started searching his whole study room for evidences.

On the other side,

“Melvin, wait for a minute.” Lucifer ordered his trusted person, his right hand.

“What happened boss.” Melvin asked.

“I forgot to take my laptop with me.”

“Okay boss, I’ll go and fetch it.”

“No wait, I’ll go myself. It’s in my locker.”

“Okay boss, I’ll wait here.”

Lucifer got out of the car and walked towards the mansion door.

Unaware of Lucifer, dawn was busy in searching for evidences.

“I think I should check this cabinet, maybe I can find something there.” Dawn thought.

As she was about to walk to the cabinet, the door suddenly opened.

Dawn was startled. she acted quickly as she grabbed a book on the shelf and acted as she was reading.

 It was the only method for her to escape, for now.

When Lucifer see her, he was more surprised and suspicious as he asked, “What are you doing here?”

Dawn turned around and said, “Mr. Seller, I thought you left.

I want to read a book, Celine told me you have good collection of books… so, I thought I should check here.” Dawn tried to reply casually.

She continued and asked him in provocative way, “I hope I am allowed here.”

Lucifer raised his eyebrow and walked towards her; Dawn took her steps backward subconsciously.

Lucifer turned towards the table, opened the drawer and took out his laptop.

Lucifer then looked towards her as he moved closure.

Dawn tried to move backward but she was already on the edge.

Lucifer placed his one hand on the wall as he trapped her and then he looked in her eyes with his deep eyes.

“Yesterday night, I forgave you because you were speaking the truth.

 But remember one thing, you have no idea how much I hate lies and betrayal.

Do not ever create an opportunity for me to doubt you, because no one has ever given a clarification after dying.”

Dawn got nervous with his words as her breathing got more rapid.

She tried not to freak out of her fear and just nodded slightly.

Lucifer turned around and walked.

When Dawn saw him leaving, she got relaxed slightly.

Then she quickly turned around to the window and picked up her transmission device.

“Stop.” Lucifer cold and terrifying voice rang again as he had already turned around from the door and started moving towards her.

Dawn got nervous but she quickly separated all the parts of makeup device and quietly tossed them out of window.

When Lucifer finally reached near her, she turned around and looked at him.

“Don’t ever come here without my permission.” Lucifer declared in his cold voice.

Dawn nodded repeatedly, “okay, okay.”

“This mansion is my world;

   everything happens here with my permission. Don’t ever try to be over smart or you’ll not be able to bear the consequences.”

Dawn was petrified as she nodded repeatedly and left without giving him a single glance.

Lucifer looked at her disappearing figure and squinted coldly.
