I can go home, first thing in the evening. And unluckily, I am going to school with bandages on my temple and arms.

Just this morning, Melissa came with a box of doughnuts. She apologized and I told her it is fine because it was really my fault. Melissa's eyes were scared and blue but after some little talk, it gleamed. I am glad I took off some weigh on her chest, she's a single Mom with a three-year-old girl named, McKenna, I told her I am looking forward to meeting which is half-truth and lie. I would totally love to meet the child of the person I caused trouble but I am not good with kids, even if they're cute.

"Don't worry about school, honey. Once you go back they'll let you catch up, no rush." Mom assured me.

She was pouring me a glass of orange juice that she bought from the grocery store right beside the hospital. "I don't care about school right now, Mom. I want to chill and rest," I told her.

"Then what's bothering you?" She asks and poured herself one too.

"I am just waiting for someone," For Cupid, actually. What's taking him so long anyway? He told me he'll be here today to talk about a more specific negotiation and he's not here yet. Great! A Greek God of Love who is not true to his words.

Or maybe I am just hallucinating yesterday.

"Finn? I miss that child!" She exclaimed which made me roll my eyes.

"No, Mom. He didn't even visit me, even for a day," I told her with an intimidated tone.

"Why?! What happened? Maybe he's out for a trip with the family, Valentine's coming," She thought. Mom, I wish it was just like that but it is far, way too far from that.

"Mom, he didn't visit me for six consecutive days that I am here in this freakin' hospital. You never see me call him or text him or answer his calls because we broke up." I said casually as if it doesn't hurt when I say those words.

We broke up.

Well, it won't be long and we will live happily ever after together and forever, once Cupid comes back and settle the further and more specific negotiation he was telling me yesterday.

"Oh, My God!" Yes, I got my overreacting from her. Runs in the blood, from her very own DNA.

"Mom, calm down. I got it under control," I smiled at her with assurance.

"You got it under control? What? How? I hope this break up doesn't affect you so much honey, it happens. Life happens, maybe he's not the guy." She consoled me in her arms. I did my best not to cry or get my eyes teary because I got it under control.

"I'm fine, Mom." I smiled at her.

"I love that kid, but maybe you are not meant to be with him---which means that God has a better one for you," she kissed the top of my head, "Okay, I'm just going to buy us lunch. Dad's at work so," she took her bag from the chair, ready to go.

"I'll be fine, Mom."

"And don't watch too many cartoons. Your Dad was debating with me if you should get a Psych consult." She told me.

"Yeah," I almost laughed with what my Mom said. Dad is the softest and concerned citizen in the world, I think. He doesn't let the small things slip away without getting it in order, he likes things that way.

And I waited for my hallucinations to come. If Cupid or Eros or whoever he really is would truly come. I hope he does, I really do. Because I want Finn, that's the end of my bargain, a lifetime with Finn.

Finally, he popped from nowhere inside my room.

"Oh, thank God and the Saints you came!" I exclaimed with all the joy and remaining dopamine in my body.

"Geez, looks like you've been waiting for me. Did you sleep?" He asks.

"I did. And yes, I waited for you, six in the morning and now it's twelve! How dare you make me wait! I am Carly Davis!" I yelled at him.

"I know who you are, idiot," He replied with a low voice, "I have a job and a life aside from our negotiation. I am in charge of matchmaking in the whole world and it's not only you who is waiting for their soulmate, so don't accuse me of making you wait," he said, glaring.

Cupid composed himself, sat on the chair.

"So, let's make this quick. Come on, what's the further and more specific negotiation?" I winked at him with an eyebrow raised.

"You're really eager, huh?" He said.

"Who won't be?! It's a lifetime with Finn we're talking about here!" I exclaimed. "So?" I asked again.

"For one, you will not talk about this negotiation, not to one breathing or non-breathing soul." I nodded, "Shut your mouth for once, Carly, or your lifetime with Finn will be gone," He added.

"You're making me sound like I am a very untrustworthy person," I scorned at him.

"Are you not?"

"Now you're telling me I am. But no, I am one trusty person," I assured him.

"If you say so," he paused and continued, "Second, you are not to ask stupid and personal questions about me or my life or about being a God," I agreed but I think not as well.

"Third, you'll get your bargain once you finish this mission---" I didn't let him finish and I added, "Mission of Making Luke Lewis believe in Love in Exchange of a Lifetime with Finn Williams," I winked.

"Fine, whatever mission you call it. You'll get that forever with Finn Williams once you finish. And a silver arrow as well,"

"What's the silver arrow for?"

"I told you not to ask personal questions, idiot." He glared.

"It's not personal or stupid, I am just curious." I defended.

"It's my thing, an arrow I own so it is none of your concern, but the bargain comes along with one silver arrow that you don't care whatever that is for. I hope you finish it before Valentines, Carly," he says.

"That's it?"

I said with uttermost confidence in me

He nodded, "That's it."

"That's the further and more specific negotiation?" I asked again.

"That's it." He said, once again. That's it, three reminders. I waited for him for so long and that's just it!

"And another last reminder, don't think about something when you're with me. Your thoughts are very loud, deafening."

"Fine," I crossed my arms on my chest, "So I have, two weeks?" He nodded and in just one blink he was gone. A very rude God of Love! The rudest, most ill-mannered breathing soul among the Greek Gods there is.

"I don't get teleportation skills?! Magic?!" Whatever he won't hear me.

And Mom was there, staring at me from the door, shocked but her face doesn't look so, it was blank but I know she's shocked.

"Mom!" I called her.

"Are you talking to someone?" Her eyes narrowed.

"No, I was just practicing a dialogue," She continuously nodded her head, trying to believe me.

"Oh, you're doing great," she took the food out from the plastic she has.

I smiled weirdly, "You don't want a Psych consult, honey?" She asks.

"No, Mom. I am fine, my brain is working just fine." I assured her and bit my lip as I bow my head. This mission I have can give too much embarrassment in a day, why did I even sign up for this?

Ah! for my lifetime with Finn Evans.

**

Later that day, I was discharged. At six in the afternoon, we left. My or asked me if I wanted to have a Psych consult, he insisted but I turned it down. I am fine, I remember well and

I see the God of Love, Cupid, that only I can see.

I missed my room, the minimal and light pink wall. The mirror that shows my beautiful angelic face. The fairy lights around my headboard, I just missed it. I am glad I am at home.

I called Vanessa on my laptop first thing when I got home. I sat on my bed and tied my hair up into a ponytail. She answered the call

"Hey!" She said with giddiness.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked.

"I am great! I should be the one to ask you that, how are you?" she looked glad to see me.

"I have three stitches on my temple and two on my arm, I am fine," I said sarcastically.

"I miss you, Carly! I am sorry I wasn't able to visit you, it's school, I was super busy!"

"Nope," I shook my head, "I understand," I lied.

"Our teachers kept on assigning me on clubs, especially a program for Valentines. Gosh, this is exhausting,"

I smiled at her.

"I know you're tired, you should rest. I'll see you tomorrow," I told her.

"You're going to school tomorrow?!" She was surprised.

I nodded, "I missed a lot, need to catch up!" I said with a high voice.

"Yeah, yeah," she convinced herself. She told me she loves me then ended the video call.

I wonder if she's really my best friend. Even if she had lots of things to do, she could've visited me, still. She could've called or texted me.

Everyone keeps telling me in school that Vanessa befriended me because I am popular, like those in the movies. There are also rumors that she's also after the popularity and Finn.

Maybe it's because I am tired.

But before I shut down my laptop, I opened my Facebook and typed on the search bar.

Luke Lewis

He's a normal guy, he's friends with Jelly Anderson, the girl Vanessa stuck bubblegum to when we were in middle school and she blamed me for that.

I am not the mean girl here, I am the one who will make Luke believe in

Love, I am helping here.

I'll see you tomorrow Luke Lewis!
