I am kinda broke, since that incident my parents stopped giving me money.I remember that one day  I read the city's newspaper and I saw an advertisement of an ice cream, tea and coffee shop who was looking for a young female to be trained as an ice cream, coffee and tea maker.  

I decided to the take job as an ice cream , tea and coffeemaker in my neighborhood  because I knew it was going to get me a few notes to spend. I was under age , but after the owner, Mrs James listened to my story she gave me the job. She treated me like own her daughter, I got to know that she didn't have children of her own.

Sunday

I always miss church because my stepmom thinks it is against her religion. So I normally stay home and do all the chores while she and MacKenzie go to the mosque. I start thinking of how to tell my parents that I will be coming home a little late these days.

I sit down thinking about what to do when all of a sudden Kevin called. How did he get my number this means he went through my diary while I was away.

He knew all my problems at home and school so I decided to make him my best friend as I didn't want him to tell people about my secrets. I realized he was the perfect person to help me with my plan. I answered the call and told him about my work and what I wanted him to do.

I was going to tell my dad that I was having  poor grades in most subjects and Kevin was willing to help me out for two hours.

My dad agreed much to my surprise and so we had agreed that we(Kevin and I ) will come home together,so that my parents will not suspect anything.

Kevin had no problems with his parents, as he told  them he wanted to help me. He always came home with me so they always thought I studied with him. I always a chocolate ice cream for Kevin as he likes chocolate.

He will eat his chocolate like a child and that always made me smile.

The first week of work was only tutorials on how to make and sell ice cream, tea and coffee. I was given four uniforms in which I was supposed to wear them from Monday to Thursday. Red pinafore, (cap) and white blouse for Monday, Pink blouse and Peach pinafore for Tuesday , Wednesdays and Thursdays were blue pinafore and white blouses and guess what Thursday's attire was my favorite, it was a pink t-shirt and violet trousers with a white cap.

Fridays were Attire Free for all workers as we were allowed to wear dresses of our choices. My working days and hours were on my form.

Working days :Mondays to Fridays 2pm to 3:45pm, Saturdays 10 am to 11:45am.

I will be earning $60 for working in a week.

I thought it will be better if I didn't tell Keliah, my best friend about it. So I wrote about my job in my diary which consisted of the crushes I had at school, people who I hated at school and other necessary stuff. I had this diary when I was twelve years old.

I shared almost everything with my diary. Keliah had always wanted to read the contents but I didn't want her to even though she was my best friend. I had learnt not to trust people, especially after what my father did to me.

My diary is old and I have to change but transferring it into a new diary is work for me so I will still keep the two year old diary. My diary is in one of my drawers in my room. It is my secret hiding place and only thieves find stuff there.

Monday.

6:00.

Oh my goodness I can't wait for the clock to hit 2pm.I finish dressing in about fifteen minutes. I take my working outfits and place them in my bag,i grab a burger which I prepared in the morning when I got to the kitchen.

The ice cream shop  is about 10 minutes away from my house. I get there exactly 6:25am,i drop my uniforms and go to greet Mrs James and my coworkers.

I board a  bus to  West Hudson Middle School.

6:30am

I reach school in about five minutes time. I  enter the class to find the early bees:Kennedy, Maliya and Calista and some other guys whom I haven't spoken to. Was I antisocial? My personal life makes me antisocial ok. Nobody is going to understand what I go through at home.

Keliah comes in after five minutes. She is beaming with smiles and I can't guess on why she is so happy. Can it be that she got a car, wardrobe or a shopping voucher, as she was a shopping freak, Or even a boyfriend.

Keliah please stop smiling and tell me what is going on. She tells me she has two good news, she questions on whether I want the first news or second one. I tell her that I  want  the first. Can you guess what her first news was Allen, her crush had asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes

I was soo happy for her even though I didn't have one. Don't you guys think I should go for Kevin. Isn't he cool,kind,handsome and more.

Keliah also tells me she is turning fourteen on Saturday and her parents are throwing a big party for her. I just fourteen last month, and I didn't even receive a gift, wish or love from my parents. How sad I was on birthday,but  Kevin and Keliah bought  me a necklace and earrings respectively.

What should I buy for Keliah. I don't have enough money to buy her something expensive. Keliah is super rich so she doesn't appreciate small things. But I try and get her something big.

The schooldays goes by quickly and oh my gosh it's Saturday the day of the party. I can wait for it to be 7pm, as the party is gonna start at 7pm till you rock. I had my bath and did my usual hectic chores and dashed off to the salon to get my new hairstyle done with the money I received for working at the coffee, tea and ice cream shop.

I got to the mall to get new outfits and heels am most of my outfits are to small for me. I forget to eat breakfast so I only took lunch.

6:30pm

I am done  dressing up for the party and I can't even believe myself. I am looking soo beautiful and different because of the makeup I wore.

Am I actually doing this for Kevin???

I asked for permission from my dad he agrees much to my surprise. I thought he was going to say no. Just as I am about to step out of the door there comes the annoying mistress, Fauzia.

She tells me that before I can leave I should wash the plates before. My dad tries to tell her that when I get home I will do it. I  am surprised is it that my father got to know that I was not  lying and maybe he had regretted slapping me because of Fauzia. I obey and do all the dishes in my outfits. I try not to stain them.

7:05pm

I am  done washing and my dad offers to drive me there and I am still surprised he's changed towards me. I got to the party 10 minutes after. The party has already started, as Ian about to alight my father pushes a box into my hand. I open it only to find an iPhone 11 Pro inside. He then wishes me a happy belated birthday and I get to know it was my birthday present. I hugged him and tell him to pick me up at 9:45pm. I wasn't a party freak to stay till late.

I enter the grand hall only to find my colleagues dancing with their partners. Allen is dancing with Keliah, I can Kevin dancing with someone whom  is in my class. Immmeadiately he saw he stopped dancing with her and came over to me.

He hugged me and said I thought you were not coming. I danced with my boyfriend to be until my feet started hurting. While we were dancing, Jason, a guy who had eyes for me came to pull me away from Kevin. I shouted at him for ending my romantic moment.We almost shared another kiss.

Was Clara and her geng not invited I ask Keliah after I left Kevin to chill with his friends. I didn't want them to ruin my party,Alisha.You know how bad and mean they are. We play with the  pinata and the balloons. I give her birthday gifts and in about five minutes time I leave the party.
