Chapter Two

2020-10-26 19:10:26I had promised myself that this Monday I won't be late to Mr Robert calculus class and am proud of myself for achieving that.
I entered the class before Mr Robert could,I made my way towards my seat,I am sitting at the third row close to the window with no one to be my seat partner because they believed that am a nerd. It's not that am not happy about it, infact if you should ask me how I feel,I feel like the most happiest girl alive,no one to disturb me when writing or distract me when an explanation is going on in the class.
i make myself comfortable on my chair, drop my school bag on the empty seat beside me,open it and brought out my note. I can see the class turning upside down with their noise and dragging of chairs just because they wants to copy each other's homework and the funniest part of it all is that some are copying the wrong solution. And yes! .."I have done my mine but I still crosschecked my workings.
"Good morning class,he greeted.he wore a pair of sneaker , black trouser and a blue well ironed shirt with an expression that says "if you haven't done your homework,you are doomed.
I was so into my teacher dressing and his looks that didn't notice the guy that entered with him.
"We have a new transfer student in our midst, introduce yourself.he said ,pointing to the guy who seem to be in shock as me but later gave me a small smile.i was so awe of his cute face that I didn't hear a word from his introduction.
I was interrupted from daydreaming when I heard Mr Robert telling the guy to occupy the vacant seat beside Flora.
"Whaaaaat! I said out loud..."sir the chair is taken.i said adjusting my bag on the chair.
"By who, miss Flora? He asked and waiting for my reply.
"I don't think you have an answer for that when I didn't answer him,he added.
Flora!,he called." You can do me a favor by showing him round the school and please tutor him,his grade is not appealing.he said, flipping through the text book he was holding.
"Oh c'mon,I said in an annoyed tone. As if sitting beside me isn't enough,now I'll have to tutor him and show him round the school.i said to myself, that's unbelievable.sometimes I do regret being the smartest one and is really getting on my nerves.
He walks towards me and point to my bag that's now sitting on his seat,I removed my bag and also shift my chair a little bit forward and gets ready to give him a cold shoulder.
My classmates, especially the girls are drooling over him.i could hear Emily telling her two followers Phoebe and Lizzy that she wants him,she goes to the extent of writing down her name inside a paper,scrambled it and then throws it at him which hit my head by mistake.
I turned my head back, fuming with anger,she looked straight at me with that her scorn eyes and laughing instead of apologizing, who am I kidding ,she doesn't apologies , those words are just too big for her.
I took the paper and passed it to the owner,he unwrapped it and ask if my name is "Emily.
Yeah,I answered him,giggling in a sweet way at him. "It's erm for short,I added.
He stared at me with a look that says...two can play this game.his eyes were sunk at mine.
"My name is Collins,he said stretching his right hand out for an handshake.
I looked at his stretched out hand and back to his face.
"Nice to meet you Collins,I said smiling.
Shortly after Mr Robert class ended,Collins grabbed the note I was writing on and put it inside his shirt.
"What the fuck!,I screamed, standing up from my seat and not minding the eyes are now looking at me because of my swearing.
"Give me back my book right now,I said in a commanding tone.
Collins sat with his head resting at the edge of his chair.he looked up at me, straight at me with a beseeching expression on his face.i threw him a glare of scorn and disgust and start to pack my remaining stuff inside my bag.
"Are you alright, Flora? he asked, smirking.
Fuck,I thought in a rage,fuck Collins, fuck this school,fuck Mr Robert, fuck Emily and fuck my note.so he has been pretending not to know my name, making me think I have the upper hand.
Sit down Flora.he says, pointing to my chair and let's make a deal.
I sat down back like a baby whose her toy has been taken from her.i faced him and asked a question.
When you were admitted to this school,were you given a mission to disturb my life and invade my privacy?
"No,he said.but he mumbled"may be.
"You said...,I asked waiting for him to complete the sentence.
so, what's the deal? I asked.
If you promise to tutor me and give me a tour round the school after the school hours,I promised not to disturb you and also keep my distance from you,he told me now, with a Stern face.
All right,all right,I said resentfully.to my surprise he gave me my book bag and make his way out of the class not even waiting for me.
I made sure I cleaned the book with my handkerchief before touching it and headed to my next class.

Flora Chapter one
I woke up in the morning and the day was kind of cloudy, I could hear my alarm ringing continuously. I jumped out of my bed immediately and checked the time, it says 7 on dot.Oh fuck!, I said in an alarming tone. Am late for school, it will take me 20minutes to dress up, another 30minutes to reach school.I jerked the door of my bathroom open with my left leg, enter the bathroom, open my mouthwash and pour a little quantity inside my mouth and giggle for some seconds before spitting out into the sink. I undress myself and took a fast shower, after that I ran out of the bathroom naked to lock the door of my room because I know that any moment from now my mum will barge into my room with a bucket of water to pour on my head.After making sure the door is locked, I put on a casual clothes, picked my school bag from the nightstand sitting at side of the room and hurried downstairs into the kitchen.
