JASON'S  POV

There's nothing I love more than football. I live it and I breath it.

The bell rang as I ticked the answer to the last question on my test paper.

I didn't even look through my work for a second before I went to hand it in.

I had barely five minutes to go get to the football pitch for practice.

With any luck on my side, I would be out of  here with no delay but I guess there wasn't because the next thing I heard was,

"Jason Kent, you stay back I'd like to talk to you after the rest of the class is out."

"But Mrs Anderson..... "

"We need to have this talk and we are having it now." She said cutting me off.

I groaned

"Fuck this I'm leaving for practice." I muttered.

I turned and started to leave.

She smiled as she collected more test papers before she turned to me again.

"Watch your language young man and if you leave this classroom, you wouldn't be needing that practice at all."

That got my attention and I stopped in my tracks and came back.

I didn't say another word as I stood waiting. Anderson, as we all call her always makes good of her threats and I don't want my position in the football team on the line.

She made me wait three minutes after everyone else had gone before she finally asked me to sit.

She didn't beat around the bush as usual.

"You are failing my class Jason." She said.

Yeah I know I am, I thought. Who needs history anyway.

"I don't need history!" I told her, praying this gets over quickly.

"Well I think you do and if you don't sit up, work hard and pass my class, I'm making  sure you aren't playing in the football  finals."

My jaw dropped and in seconds my eyes were blazing and my fists clenched.

"You can't do that." I seethed.

"Can't I?" She asked smiling but her eyes told me all needed to know.

It's either her way or nothing.

"I already talked to Ena Joseph for you. She's very good in history so I asked her to tutor you."

"I don't need a tutor!"

"Yes you do. She's a nice girl, you'd like her."

"I don't want any girl, nice or not, clamoring up my space in the name of tutoring."

"You need help Jason, Ena is my best student and in the best position to help you."

I didn't say anything so she continued.

"It's either this or you are not playing."

With that she left, leaving me glaring after her.

I was already twenty minutes late for practice and I couldn't get myself to move.

I don't know how long I sat there before I finally stood up and headed fo the locker room to change.

I met Bianca in the hallway and my anger started building up all over again.

Bianca is the reason I hate girls. All girls.

That slimy two timing bitch left a sour taste about girls, dating and trust in my mouth.

"Hey Jason." She said and scurried away. She knows better than to do other wise.

I hate girls !

And that Ena girl had better stayed the fucking hell away from me.

I wasn't any good at practice so I left early to go freshen up. I stood by my car waiting for Drake to finish up with his basketball training so we could go home.

I was checking something up on my phone so I didn't see the girl making her way towards me until she was standing directly in front of me.

She had her brown hair mass in a high ponytail and she wore glasses.

The way she clutched her books in her hands with the way her glasses were hanging on her nose made her look kind of nerdy.

She looked cute.

This was the first time I'd had such thought about any girl since my break up with Bianca.

That lying bitch!

"H-hi Jason." She stuttered.

One corner of my mouth was lifting in the making of a smirk.

I make her nervous and that made me want to smile.

"I know y-you don't really like anyone but Mrs Anderson asked me to be your tutor."

Hey who said I don't like anyone, I just don't like girls that all.

"If you don't want me to, then I won't disturb you." She continued.

"You know my name," I drawled,  looking to keep her talking.

"What's yours."

"Ena Joseph."

The faint red color that rose in her face was almost invisible but I saw it because I was watching her closely.

For a girl hater like me, I kinda like talking to her.

"Sooo, where would the sessions hold? "She asked, pushing her glasses a little up her nose.

"The library?" She suggested and I laughed.

"My house." I said, "we could use the dinning or my room."

I made sure my voice dropped an octave when I said that last part.

It made me smile watching her get all flustered. The color rose in her face only slightly deeper now.

She blushed easily and I realized I like watching her do it.

She wasn't like any other girl I know and maybe that's why I find her intriguing.

I've never really been big on girls though I've always had them hanging around me.

I guess it comes with being on the football team and having brothers who are rated among the school's coolest jocks.

Damien was the captain of the football team before he graduated and Drake is great in basketball.

My usual crowd is always my team mates and a bunch of air headed, obnoxious cheerleaders who's only priority is sleeping with every other guy on the team.

It's refreshing talking to a girl who actually have a functioning brain in her head.

So far, she hasn't even tried to shove her boobs in my face or touch me or make any sexually suggestive gesture or remark.

Bianca did all of all of those the first time we met.

She wasn't even my type of girl but I guess I just went out with her because all the guys on the team were dating someone on the cheer leading team.

And she had to go....... Fuck it!

She was waiting for me to say something and I didn't even know what.

"I asked what time and when we should begin." She said.

"I get off practice at 4pm so any time from then is good. We can start tomorrow."

She nodded, "okay."

"You still didn't say where."

She did it again, the blushing and I couldn't look away.

I'm so used to seeing girls with fake blushes, all done with make up, that it's fascinating watching the real thing.

"My house." I answered with a raised eyebrow.

"Okaayy"

"I live at house four on Same street. I could pick you up? ”

"No, I live in the next street. I can find my way over."

"Then let me give you a ride home, we have to wait a bit more for my brother Drake though."

I never make such offers.

"No, thanks again."

And she just gave up riding in my new jaguar convertible.

Wow.

She smiled, turned and left me staring after her.

If I ever ventured into dating again, she would be my pick.

And that nerdy look she favors, with the glasses too, kind of turns me on.

Good thing she didn't notice the tent starting to pitch in behind my jeans.

I fantasized about stripping her of everything other thing on her body except those sexy glasses and having my wicked ways with her.

I watched her retreating figure until a hand almost as big as mine slung over my shoulders.

"Yo dude."

I turned to look at Drake who can easily pass for my twin, well except for his eyes which are a darker shade of green than mine.

"Keep your damn hand to your self, " I said shrugging the said hand off my shoulders.

"Ready?" I asked.

"As can be." He threw back as he threw his bag in the back seat.

He got into the front seat beside me looking at me quizzically.

I pointedly ignored his questioning eyes as I drove out of the I parking lot.

"So who is the babe you were talking to right before I joined you."

So that's it, huh.

"None of your fucking business."

"You know for a girl hater, you sure looked pretty comfy talking to her."

"Mind your own damned business, asshole." I retorted.

"I don't bug you when I see you with those your air headed, bimbo cheerleaders."

He smiled.

"Well, I've got good news and good news."

I spared him a glance and shook my head at the smirk he was wearing.

"The good news is that I'm glad you don't butt in and the other good news is that I'm am done doing bimbo cheerleaders. Nerdy girls are more my type now and I really liked your girl. I was wondering if you'd do the brotherly thing and give me her number?"

I gripped the Steering wheel hard for a split second before I realized he was messing with me.

Probably baiting me to see my reaction.

It irritated me that his comment about him liking Ena got to me.

Got a fucking reaction out of me.

Brotherly thing my ass.

Damn him.

And her.

"Fuck off."  That was the last thing I said through out the ride home.

I was still thinking about my new history tutor who I didn't even notice until now again, when I drove into our garage.

Funny how I didn't even know we shared the class until now.

It was annoying that my mind keeps going back to her but at the same time I was kind of looking forward to seeing her again.

Tutoring sessions are going to be really interesting.

TODAY IS TUESDAY and the day we officially start my tutoring sessions.

I was still changing my clothes when the door bell rang.

Ena, I guessed.

I looked at the time on my  phone and it showed exactly four pm.

Talk about impeccable timing

I pulled a fresh T-shirt and sweat pants  and put it on before going downstairs to go meet her.

I was forced to stop on the stairs by the sound of her laughter.

She was laughing at something Drake had said to her while he stood watching her.

The sight irritated me and royally pissed me off.

It was Bianca and Noah all over again.

Girls are all the same no matter what they try to get you to believe or how innocent they look in Ena's case.

I walked to the door where she was still standing smiling at Drake. He was smiling right back at her with that look I knew so well in his eyes.

I bit back the lot I had to say to them because my playing in the finals with the team depends on this.

The smile disappeared from her face the moment she saw me standing and glaring at them.

"If you are done flirting and ogling each other, can we go up to my room and get on with what you are actually here for."

I bit off.

"Fuck you Jason, we were just getting introduced." Drake shot at me.

I was already going back up the stairs when I said,

"And that's why you were standing there and removing her clothes with your eyes."

"Asshole." He spat out before going off in the general direction of the kitchen.

I paused and turned back to a very shocked and angry Ena.

"You coming?"

She wordlessly followed me up to my room but the second the door closed behind us she let it loose on me.

"Look Jason, I won't be taking insults from you, okay. If you don't want me here you say so. It's not my ass on the line here though, it's yours in case you've taken the leisure to forget!."

"Suddenly turned a tigress I see.  You didn't say that down there, why?” I asked.

"Because your younger siblings were watching the television there and I didn't want to reprimand their big brother in their presence."

Bianca never bothered about who was watching while she called me every foul name that existed on the face of earth or while she shouted in my face for shit.

That had me thinking about my earlier conclusion, about all the girls being same, and how wrong I might be.

I wanted to apologize to her but I couldn't bring myself to do it so in the end I just dropped on one end of the bed and started pulling my books from my backpack.

She pushed her glasses a little bit up her nose and my eyes couldn't help following the movement.

She favored touching it, I noticed.

When she finally sat down, she made sure there was enough space between us by sitting on the opposite end of the bed from me.

She looked like she was afraid of me,  not minding her earlier outburst.

Best for us I thought angrily, I don't want any girl getting all friendly and close to me just because she was going to help me learn fucking names of people long dead, places and damned dates anyway.

But even as I thought that, I wasn't even sure that was what I wanted.
