Chapter 1

I heard my mom shout my name downstairs. I stretched my arms and feet when I heard her calling me twice, no, not just twice but more than ten I guess, grrr.

“Haiiissssttt I’m planning not to go to school today.” I murmured, pouting my lips.

I got irritated because my mom still calling my name over and over again, so, I hurriedly went downstairs, and there I saw my mom smirking at me.

  She looks like she has a good morning today, while me? Grrr, I feel like I’m about to faint here, I’m still really sleepy at this moment.

 “Cassy, let’s eat,” my mom said and still smiling happily, “haiiissst”. “I want to sleep more,” Huhuhu.

“I’m so sorry for what I served you today,” my mom continued. I'm confused.

I rubbed my eyes immediately and look clearly what my mother served me to say that.

And there I saw a bowl of plain rice and canned good on clearance is all set on the top of the table.

I looked back at my mom who is still smiling, yes, but I know they’re all fake, I can see her sorrow in her eyes, but I smiled back at her and walk straight to the table.

“It’s okay mom, come on let’s eat,” I offered to make things positive.

 “Hmmmmm. This tasted delicious mom,” I said as I thumb-up while eating the food like a wild cat, then my mom laughs at me, and I grin at her.

“Careful Cassy, you might choke, don't eat so fast,” my mom said worriedly then laugh again.

“Haiissst, Cassy is it that yummy? ”

I saw my mom’s eyes shines so bright as she asked that question. It seems that she feels at ease now that made me not to worry about her anymore.

“Its really good mom, but please join me here, don't just stand there and watch me eating, please,” I pleaded and pout my lips.

My mom smiles and pats my head. 

“Okay, let’s eat together”.

 I went hurriedly here inside the bathroom to take a bath after washing our dishes. But I'm still in pain because of my Mom.

I could hold the heartbreak no longer and I fell to the floor in a dishevelled heap as my grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears. 

I hate my life being. This is not the life I was hoping for. I felt like I want to just vanish in this world.

After a few minutes of crying, I remembered that I have to attend my school. I instantly washed my face again and stand straight and composure myself and start bathing.

 I went out of our house and observed our mini, little house before going to school.

It is only made of woods. It may be 2 storey house but it doesn’t have enough space inside, we might also have two bedrooms but it’s funny that only a bed fit inside each room and there’s no more left space for a cabinet, literally.

I wish I had a room where I can put my things inside, like a mirror, cabinet, and others. But those are just a dream. I sigh and walk away.

“How I wish, I was never been born,” I whispered and held the straps of my back bag and continue walking.

 As I enter our room, I can easily recognize my best friend, Mae, from a distant and I hurriedly ran fast and sat down beside her.

“Oh, you’re early today”, she said.

Well, I don’t know if she’s insulting me? Or she's just joking around?

Haiissst, it doesn’t matter after all, because, honestly, I’m always late, funny, isn’t it?

I’m that naughty. But I prefer not to live rather than living like this. I don’t think about living that much, most especially poverty, I hate that word, it's giving me a headache.

I didn’t think about it so much it's too much to think 'though, and I feel really sleepy.

“Aisssst, If only mom didn’t wake me up too early in the morning,” I murmured.

“What did you say? “ Mae asked me and my bad I think she heard me.

“Nothing, I’m just sleepy” I answered.

Then I saw one of my bullied classmate out from the window, haaaiiissst.

 I bent my head down touching my arm desk while pouting my mouth, but I’m afraid at the same time. I don't want to get beaten up again.

I’m walking here at the library, and I felt that something isn’t right at this place,

I can’t remember where is this place, and even the student's faces are kinda weird,

I don’t even know each of them,” I mumbled and kept looking at them one by one.

It made me chill, grrr.

But I didn't pay attention to them when a book snatches my eyes.

It was entitled “Love and Death,” interesting.

I want to read it but when I’m about to get the book, a man took it faster than I am. And I grind my teeth angrily and look at him madly but he snubbed me. Wow, I've seen that book first before him, how stupid.

So, before he walks away, I tried to grab the book from him since I was the one who saw it first,

But,

But I feel like the time has stopped when I saw my hands infiltrate at his hand like a ghost, I can’t touch him.

“What just happened?" I said in shocked, and he also looked astonished.

“You saw it right? ” I asked him, but I heard no words and he just looked behind me like he was looking or searching for something but he couldn’t see anything and look straight back at me with his eyes wide open like he saw a ghost or something.

“What? “ I coldly said and he blinks his eyes over and over again when he heard me talking to him.

“You saw it right? ” I asked one more time.

But he’s not answering.

Maybe it was just my imagination,

But it wasn’t,

I can’t really touch him when I tried to touch him once again.

“I can’t touch you,” I whispered while looking at my hand.

“What is happening? ” I asked him but he turned his back at me and walked away.

“Waaaaaaiiiittttttttt!”

“ Cassy, wake up, you’re dead, teacher Beast is here!" a familiar voice coming from my ears. Then I can feel Mae's hand wiggling my shoulders. I'm confused, teacher beast? Who the heck is that?

“What teacher beast? “ I murmured curiously, and as I opened my eyes, I noticed that I’m still here at school.

Then I laughed at myself. I was just dreaming then, but it feels like it was real. Grrr, That's creepy.

I felt the chill in my body imagining what if it was real? Then throw my back I laughing.

“Come on Cassy, that is just a stupid dream.”

 “Hey, why are you laughing? Are you crazy? ” Mae asked me while she strangely looking at me.

“Ah, oh, it’s embarrassing.”

“Nothing, I just remembered something,” I answered and faced in front as fast as I could. It was really awkward.

“Haiissst, that was only just a dream then, I’m relieved, ” I sigh.
