He never liked the feeling of being hungry, so he must eat.

Emma was pushed to the sink, but the pain on her waist made her feel relieved because she escaped him this time.

She couldn't stay in this place any longer.

Emma lost her interest in drinking the fish soup. But before she left, Kevin's growl sounded, "Do I pay you here to make food that even dogs are unwilling to eat? Get out! Take your severance pay and get out of here!"

After he said that, the sound of plates and bowls falling to the ground shattered, making people terrified.

One could easily tell that the kitchen was a mess.

Emma suddenly remembered something Jacob had told her before.

Jacob once told her, "Miss Spears, no matter if you are as feigned as Master Kevin said, in my eyes, you are much better than Miss Swan and the likes of her. So here is something that I only tell you about."

Then he exposed a secret of Kevin, "Born in a noble family, Master Kevin is valued by everyone around him since he was a child. He is also a talent in the business field, wise and decisive, nothing he couldn't solve. But no one is perfect, maybe he is too perfect that God... Have you ever heard of paranoid personality disorder?

Kevin Jackson, the most valuable man in the world, had a paranoid personality disorder.

The most obvious symptom was that he was extremely irritable and sometimes violent. He just couldn't control himself.

A piece of advice from Jacob – if she wanted to be free again, she shouldn't irritate or offend him but obey him.

Obey and please him?

How could she please this wicked man?

Emma thought of this unwillingly, while the man behind was still furious at the chefs and maids.

After a hesitation, she convinced herself to fill a bowl of fish soup and walked towards Kevin.

Kevin sat in front of the dining table as he vented his anger. The maids squatted on the floor to clean up the mess, trembling with fright.

"If they failed to satisfy your needs, would you like to try the fish soup I just made?"

Emma put the soup before him, forbearing her hatred against him and saying as gently as possible.

In order to be free, she had to try every method she could think of.

Kevin was still annoyed and glanced at her contemptuously, "Do you know who these chefs are? I'm not satisfied with their dishes, but you think your soup is better?"

What a joke.

Fine, she knew it wasn't easy to please him.

Emma had to take the soup to her side and then sat down to enjoy it. Getting used to staying at home, she studied cooking by herself, and she believed her dishes were no worse than those made in the restaurants.

The fragrance of fish soup flew to Kevin in bursts. The ordinary scent was nothing special, but he was attracted inexplicably...

When Kevin stared at Emma, she was drinking fish soup as if she was alone there. Her wry face showed no expression. She only drank the soup quietly, bit by bit.

"Give it to me!"

Kevin ordered arrogantly, grabbed the bowl in front of her, picked it up, and put it on his lips to have a taste.

Eh.

Not bad.

There was no fishy smell. The umami taste of the fish was fully spread out. Without the chefs' deliberate tricks, the soup was surprisingly delicious.

It's been a long time since he had had any soup that suited his favor so well.

Kevin was really hungry. He took a few more sips and picked up the fish with chopsticks to eat. After he drank it up, he ordered the maid to get him all the remaining fish soup in the pot…

Emma sat there, staring dumbfounded as Kevin drank all the fish soup she had made.

"No coriander next time, I don't like it!"

Kevin pushed the empty bowl forward, took the clean tissue from the maid's hand, and wiped his mouth. Taking a glance at the official message on the phone, he then stood up after he said that, leaving her a tall back view.
