Chapter 8 Please Sit On The Polygraph Chair

She closed her eyes in despair after she heard that, and her hands grasped the coat on her body. She was desperate to scratch the coat.

The Empire Castle, a magnificent multi-million-dollar building in the forest, was not a tourist place, but a private house.

A private house of Kevin Jackson.

No outsiders were allowed to get in.

Emma was tied up when she was brought to the castle. Normally, she might be in a good mood to appreciate this mysterious castle and get some inspirations, but now, all she got was numbness.

On her way to the castle, she asked the bodyguards for help, tried to escape, and grasped a phone to call the police, but the bodyguards stopped her eventually.

The last words the bodyguard told her was that, "Miss, how did you offend Mr. Jackson? With Mr. Jackson's position, he has every power to decide your life and death. So, stop fighting against him. That's useless."

What he said wiped out all her fantasies.

She ran into this man who had raped her but had no way to revenge herself. Moreover, she couldn't even get rid of him. If she didn't turn numb, what else could she do?

Getting into the castle, Emma got on the elevator and was pushed into a luxury room like a western palace in the 14th century.

There was an old man in his sixties standing in the room. He looked in great spirit and kind, holding his hands behind his back and dressing like a butler.

"Miss Spears, it's good to see you. I'm the butler of Mr. Jackson. You can call me Jacob." The old man briefly introduced himself to her with a smile, and beckoned her,

"Please, have a seat."

Until now, Emma finally noticed that there was a high-tech recliner chair and a flat-screen display beside him.

She understood vaguely about what he would do to her.

"This is a polygraph chair. Please sit."

Jacob explained to her politely and mildly. He was not as arrogant and unreasonable as Kevin.

"What on earth do you want to do?"

Emma's face was as white as a sheet.

They even wanted to use the polygraph chair. What were they up for?

What had she done to him? Why was he doing this to her?

"The master said Miss Spears didn't admit that you had delivered a baby for him three years ago, so he wants me to run a test on you," Jacob explained patiently.

Once again, three years ago, delivered a baby...

Before she met him personally today, she had only seen his face in the newspaper and television, so how could she have his child?

"You made a mistake."

Emma told him in a low voice. All her hopes were dashed to pieces.

But the bodyguards threw her on the polygraph chair ruthlessly, and then twined all the detection lines around her fingers, arms, and her body. After that, she couldn't even move...

Emma struggled by instinct, but her strength was used up in the sauna room.

She was strengthless right now.

She sat halfway on the polygraph chair lazily, like a dying fish on a cutting board.

"So, Miss Spears, I have some questions for you."

Jacob smiled at her kindly as he took out a file from behind and unfolded it.

"Can I leave after you finish this?" She just wanted to leave this damn place.

Jacob only smiled but didn't answer. Then he focused on the file in his hand and began to ask gently, "Your name."

"Emma Spears!"

Jacob took a glance at the screen beside him and nodded, asking again, "Miss Spears, what did you do three years ago?"

"I created the comic book called His Possessiveness Upon Me." She became popular for a period because of that, so she remembered it clearly.

"Other than that, did anything else important happen?" Jacob continued.
