Chapter One

2020-08-21 05:14:49James Andrew, the CEO of Andrews Limited sighed heavily on the chair in his large and well furnished office, besuited in color red and white shirt. It was valentine's day.
But,he had no one to celebrate with at the age of thirty. No woman was in his life. They all date,use and jilt him for no reason exactly. It was obvious they were all after his money so he decided to remain a bachelor for a while.
James sat upright as he pondered about his life. His parents had been pestering him,wanting to see their grandchild. They wanted him to chose a woman from a good home and whom he loves. They don't want to chose for him.
Being the third and last born son,he was cherished and loved by his two brothers,Peter and Paul,who were twin brothers. His brothers got married the same day and they now had kids, two kids each. He was not growing younger but the opposite.
The more he pondered,the more he realized that none of these women had any tangible reason neither did he find any flaw in himself. He was handsome,tall and with slightly curved legs. To top it all,he was rich. Wealthy,in fact. He own a big company.
He decided to let the issue off his mind. He's got a lot to do than to sit down pondering about what he now consider trivia matter.
There was a knock on the door,so he ordered the person to come in.
Vivian went in and sat before him. She was a business friend to him. She was beautifully dressed in red and white short gown and red stilettoes and white hat. She had put on a blue lens which made her eyeballs blue and pretty and had a nicely shaped lips which smiled at him.
She was indeed beautiful.
James was lost and far from reality with the dazzling angel before him.
"James?" Vivian jerked him back to life from his dream land.
He smiled. "Oh!
Sorry, I was just thinking about something," he said,leaning forward so that his two elbows were on his desk which was separating the two of them.
"What were you thinking? Well, I am sorry I disallowed your secretary to inform you I was outside. I wanted it to be a surprise but it wasn't," Vivian said with a disappointed look.
"Oh,no! It is indeed a surprise to see you on such a day like this. Tell me,what brings you here?" He asked,leaning back on his chair.
"I want us to go on a date,James. You have no plans, right?" Vivian asked,smiling.
James stared deeply at her. He had known her to be a person of free mind. She had no difficulty in expressing herself. He cleared his throat and returned the smile. "I'm sorry,but —," he tried to say.
"No buts,James. We're going out and that's it. Aren't you bored here? Come on,let's go," She persisted,rising to her feet.
Left with no choice,James followed her and they went to an eatery to eat and drink. The place was beautifully decorated and there were so many couples coming in and out of the place. He quickly averted his gaze so as not to return to his pondering state. The case,as trivial as he might have seen it,was making him sad and uncomfortable.
It made him lonely. What to do! Vivian was just his friend. Nothing more or less than that.
"I love this place," he commented.
"Really? Well,I guess it's nice," Vivian said with her generous smile.
She had been a good friend to him. She knew of his predicament but she was not fit to solve it. She didn't know why. She just didn't want them to be more than friends. Maybe she wasn't single.
"Yes. Hum — Let's get going. I still have some works in the company to take a look at," James said,admiringly. He was expecting her to say 'No,let's stay a while,' but it was ' Yes, let's go' instead.
Should he be disappointed? Never can tell. They rose up and cleared their bills,then took their leave.

James lifted her chin with his right index finger and made her to look at him while he stared at the luscious twins beneath her nose that were trembling, possibly out of fear.He smiled. Joyce opened the metal door widely and rushed in. She looked at her boss on his king sized bed and thought he was unconscious. With fear, she climbed the bed and started calling his name. She was beginning to sweat in her palms but as she lifted one of his hands in hers, he made a turn around and rested his bonce on her thighs.She hissed aloud. "Gosh, I thought he's dead. When he closed at the office, he went home to have a nap. He was very tired but all he planned was a few minutes nap before he would eat and return Joyce's phone. He got to his large living room which has a few painting of his pictures on the walls. The colors of the curtains and chairs are the same which was chocolate brown against the cream colored walls. He dropped his briefcase carelessly on the sofa, took off his suit, tie and shoes and let them assemble on the tiled floor as he walked to his room, almost with closed eyes.
