LOGINAs Rydian pushed open the doors of his supposed home, Ruby's mouth fell wider open. It was a sight worthy of cherubim voices as music. Everything was in either white or gold; like a palace in another dimension.
"You live here?" She asked, dropping her backpack as she marvelled at the beauty of her surrounding. Rydian just hummed an incoherent sound, supposedly to say yes.
"Alone?" She asked again. He fell silent, his mood and movements changed. He stopped dead in his tracks, watching around carefully. Like he could sense something was wrong, or that someone was around.
"Apparently not!" He said looking up, as if someone was about to fall out of nowhere,
"What is it? You look- not OK." Ruby said, but before she could comprehend his actions, Rydian turned and touched lightly on her forehead with his middle and index finger and she fell into his arms: into a deep slumber. He carried her into his arms bridal style and laid her on a three seaters white sofa with gold linings.
"Maël, you shouldn't be here." He said and immediately a white entity descended from above and landed on the clear marble floor,
"Brother, you are going against every rule of the book. Are you trying to get yourself cast out?" Maël asked. He had beautiful golden glow blonde hair falling all over his face, barely leaving enough space for his eyes. His dry yet soft red lips pressed together in a thin line and his stormy grey eyes held fear. He was dressed only in a white cloth that covered his lower body, leaving exposed a well toned muscular body; six parks and all.
"And do you think he doesn't see you?" Maël asked again,
"If he is and not saying anything then it only means I am doing the right thing." Rydian answered lifting himself up from where Ruby laid. Maël through a glance at her peaceful slumbering body,
"And her?" No answer, "Sariel she is a descend-"
"She is not a descendant!!!" Rydian interrupted through gritted teeth, "Nothing says she is a descendant."
"Maybe not but his blood still runs in her veins. What is to say she is not like him."
"She is not! She is going to be a saviour."
"The is but only one saviour and he is up there watching. Please stop now brother and plea for repentance. You can not end up like Anak!" Maël's grey eyes turned a light shade of ash as he spread open his wings. "Please brother,"
"I can't!" Remorse filled in his voice as Sariel spoke, "I watched it happen the first time and did nothing. I can't again. I won't. I'm not an angel destruction, nor of death. I can not watch innocent people suffer and die. I do not have the heart; my soul could never bear the sorrow."
Ruby groaned and turned, immediately catching both angel's attention, then Sariel rushed to her side and noticed she was in distress.
"A bad dream?" Maël asked,
"A vision!" Sariel answered. He placed his two fingers again on her forehead like he had done before and the scenery changed; they'd both transpired into her vision,
Ruby's in the middle of nowhere; by herself. She looks scared. Sariel watches her keenly as she tries to find a way. Then they both hear a voice, a call;
"Help me!!!" The voice called, "Somebody please help me," and as if on instinct, Ruby follows the voice to a pit. It's not too deep, just about the girl in its heights and a helping hand away from getting her out.
"Hey, are you OK?" Ruby asked. Sariel paled a whiter shade on sight of the girl in the pit. Her ginger red hair and earth brown eyes gave it all away.
"Help me out!" She said. Slowly Ruby sent her hand in to help Sonny out. Sariel saw the drill.
"Ruby no!" He yelled, a second too late as Sonny dragged Ruby down into the pit which now turned out deeper than Ruby had seen. It now became a fiery pit. As Ruby found herself falling...
She jerked right up from the sofa on which she slept. She met Rydian's worried eyes. It was just the two of them. Maël was gone; not that she'd know anything about him.
"Ruby,"
"It was just a bad dream!" She said taking herself up to her feet,
"No!" Rydian said, "it wasn't! It's a warning. It has already begun."
"What has?"
"Armageddon"
.............................
"I swear that was the weirdest dream ever!!" Sonny told Zen who was busy magically building a castle out of sand, paying no attention to the former, "she just impaled me, when I was trying to get her out of that pit."
"Mm mm!" Zen hummed,
"Hey, earth girl! Are you even listening to me?"
"Nope!"
"You know I could just vaporize you right now!" Sonny threw Zen a threatening glare before stomping out in anger. She couldn't understand why a mere dream had so much affected her. All she wanted was to help a girl she saw in a pit but the latter turned on her as she stretched her hand to help and stabbed her. It made her so angry, without even knowing who Ruby was, she already hated her to the brim. She matched pass their newest member, bumping him hard as she went out.
Sonny matched her way right into Luce's secret room. He was there, just leaning over his window with a view over the city, an impassive look on his face, her presence clear to him,
"It's amazing right?" He asked Sonny. Her steps retaliated, "how sometimes I don't have to do anything to created chaos. It's like it has a mind of its own and speaks when it sees fit."
"So," he said plastering a familiar grin on his face, "what do I do for you little sinner?"
Sonny cringed internally at the name. She still hadn't been able to wrap her mind around why the name didn't sit well with her, "I need you to help me find someone,"
The devil smirked, "The one that stabbed you!". Her brows furrowed in confusion,
"How do you know that?"
"Because you shall not harm her- not yet!!!"
"But why? Who is she to you?"
"Just nobody. But if you feel like shedding blood; I believe there's a certain Gertrude that had been making your life a living hell..." He slumped into his devil designed throne,
"I'm not killing Gertrude." Sonny led on a firm face, knowing fully well that he could make her do it if he wanted to. He glanced at her from underneath thick framed lashes,
"You don't have to, but you can make her suffer and not kill her; that is, if you can." Evil sparks glinted in his eyes, then she knew. He was plotting something evil.
"Whatever it is you're planning, just stop cause I'm not killing Gertrude."
"Really? Not even if I tell you she had a hand in your mother's death?" Sonny stopped dead. Her mother's death was a topic she had avoided like an air borne disease. The story she had been told was that she died in a car crash. But she never saw the body, or a grave; hell she never even saw a sign of mourning from anyone close; not even her stepfather who didn't hesitate marrying Gertrude not long after her mother's disappearance.
"Paul never even knew Gertrude when my mom died!" Sonny said, fighting hard for tears not to stream down her face, "so how could she have..."
"And who told you he didn't know her before or immediately after her death?" The tears ran down her face free and on a wild spree.
"You'r- you're lying!" Sonny sobbed,
"Tell me Sonny," he said her name for the very first time, "do you know how much your mother was worth before she died and who- no! Those who inherited from it all?"
"My mother had a lot of money and left it all to me."
Luce got up from he seat and match majestically towards Sonny, in her breakdown state, he whispered to her ear,
"So that's what you've been telling yourself!" And he walked away, "Be back by midnight for the initiation ritual." he finish as he disappeared behind the doors.
Then Sonny knew, there was only one way to find out the truth. Two stops, three people to meet: her mother's lawyer, and her step parents.

Dr. Sommers checked the vitals of the girl, her blood pressure and everything again. It was literally unbelievable to him and all the rest who had heard of the girl's survival. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her, not even a bruise was found on her body. Sjre she was entirely covered in mud but that was the only thing that proved she was actually involved in the landslide that practically disfigured some of the corpses that were recovered. No one even understood how she got out."It's a miracle Ruby! Some kind of spontaneous reminiscence." He said as he wrote something on her carnet. "There is nothing spontaneous about being picked out of the ground! Can I go home now?" Ruby grumbled. If there was anything she hated more that hospitals, it was guys in white jackets."Are you aware everyone but you died in that landslide. If not for the way the found you; covered in mud and unconscious, no one would believe you
"Je suis foutu! je l'ai tué! Je suis vraiment foutu!!!" David paced the floors of Alex's apartment. Alex was a friend of his."Là ferme putain! Tu vas te calmer oui?" Alex groaned palming his face in frustration. David had been shaking like a baby ever since he'd showed up at his doorstep for shelter and protection."T'as aucune idée. Elle vas me tuer. Elle vas bruler vive." The idiot continued shaking. True; Alex had no idea of what was coming for him."Mais
With shaky hands dripping with blood, her head held low and her face covered in agony, Sonny stood before the devil in his true form: long dark hairy tale with it's pointy red and sharp arrow-like end, short red and rough horn on his forehead, long black claws on both hands, flashing a mouthful of pin sharp teeth."Why did you make me do this?" Sonny asked, her head still held low. Her voice a pitch lower than usual."You would have ended up doing something relatable sooner anyway. Now is not the time for sulking. Change up! dress nice. We have a French descendant to pick up." He said and took back on a human form before putting on his leather jacket."I am not going anywhere with you!" Sonny cried taking a stand to look straight into his eyes but almost as if it burnt her she winced sharply, shutting tight her eyes and falling to floor, obviously in pain. His eyes were a fiery red; infusing unbearable pai
Falling to her death was nothing like Sonny had imagined. Just when she saw herself about to crash to the concrete, she wished she could fly.Glorious; as Luce had called them, glorious wings were released from her tattoos. Each stroke that peeled of her skin became a feathery part of what was opening up from her body. The original mark from her back tore threw her causing her a little pain, nothing she couldn't handle. Now in full bloom, her wings, they were big and of grey colour. She flapped them hard and they carried her high into the sky. She screamed with excitement. For fuck sake she could fly.Looking at her grey wings, Luce's malicious smirk turned into an angry frown. They
