CHAPTER 10

UNKNOWN MALE VOICE : Yeah, I hate myself for leaving her there, my big sister and the only one that cared to bring me up with love was most likely dead now and….. (a knock is heard) 

UNKNOWN FEMALE VOICE : Hey Sirius, how long are you gonna stay in there sulking??.... It’s been a week since Eliza left, we need you 

UNKNOWN MALE VOICE ( SIRIUS) : Leave me alone, Aria… I really don’t wanna talk to anyone right now 

UNKNOWN FEMALE VOICE ( ARIA)  : You don’t have to talk, Jonathan spotted a horde heading towards our location, Elisha is calling for a meeting 

SIRIUS : I’ll be there shortly.. ( with reluctance in his voice )

ARIA : Good…. You don’t have to worry, Eliza is a strong woman, I’m sure she’s OK 

SIRIUS : Yeah.. I guess you’re right 

MAKESHIFT MEETING HALL 

ELISHA : Hey Sirius, glad you could join us 

ZINO : Was wondering how long you’re gonna be sulking for 

SERAYAH : Zino… .everyone deals with grief in their own way, don’t attack Sirius 

ZINO : Yeah I know, sorry man 

SIRIUS : No you’re right, Eliza wouldn’t be happy to see me sulking like this so it’s better I get up and doing, so what’s the issue 

JONATHAN : Well our cover’s been blown, we should have left sooner but now we might end up having to fight our way out of here again 

DAVID : Was there any sign of a leader amongst their ranks?? 

JONATHAN : Most likely an earl but I could be wrong 

ELISHA : Earl or not, we have to get ready to leave…. We need to head back to The Sanctuary and deliver the Ark 

SIRIUS : What about Eliza??... We need to go back and check if she’s still alive 

ELISHA : And I promise that we will but right now we need to finish the mission or else, Eliza’s sacrifice would be meaningless, so are you guys with me?? 

Elisha puts out his fist as the others joining fists with Sirius joining in last after which Elisha nods his head in acknowledgement.

Demons are seen flying into the city with undead humans following on foot, they come to a halt and stand waiting for the command of the one who seemed to be at the helm of the attack 

DEMON GENERAL #1 : Come out of your holes, you human scum and face the ultimate punishment at the hands of Agares, a great duke of hell for daring to step on this land… ( in a loud voice) 

A minute or two pass with Agares growing impatient, he motions at his generals who in turn motion to their lackeys to attack, they are about to launch a fireball the size of a wrecking ball at the building before they are stopped by the appearance of the Apostles standing atop the roof of the building adjacent the one that the demons were about to attack, they are dressed in a really cool attire with a long white jacket and black T-shirt with white trousers for the guys and short white jacket and black T-shirt with a white skirt and long socks on Leah, Zara and Sara while Aria and Serayah had white leather outfits on ( PS : Sirius wore a medium sized white jacket instead of a long one) 

CALEB : So they came with zombies, huh….

LEAH : I’m guessing the undead are here to make up for the low demon numbers, that is most likely a low level ranking demon leader 

SARA : So how are we doing this 

SIRIUS : Wipe every single one of them off the face of the earth 

ZINO : I agree 

ZARA : We all have a lot of pent up anger and frustration, this is a good avenue to let loose on some of that dangerous emotion 

ELISHA : Agreed, so it’s settled…. Apostles, use this opportunity to let off some steam, we can’t go back to HQ with all this anger and sadness boiling within us 

SIRIUS : The leader is mine…. ( Moving once he had finished speaking at light speed towards Agares who stood behind the demon and undead horde) 

ARIA : Such an impatient guy…. 

CALEB : How about we make it fun, the one to get the most kills wins 

ZINO : I’m in 

DAVID : Let’s get going 

ELISHA : Victory is assured… ( in an otherworldly voice) 

CALEB : A little surprise for everyone…. Low level creation : gift package [ weaponry ]

The other apostles charge into combat and the battle began in earnest; Caleb drops down in the midst of the undead and unleashes his guns on them, loaded with bullets bathed in divine energy the bullets cut down the undead with relative ease, he places the gun in the mouth of an undead and presses the trigger gunning down not only that undead but a couple others that were behind him, he knocks down another that tries to grab him and shoots it behind it’s head, he plants his feet in the ground and does a twirl, shooting as he did so with several more of the undead dropping like flies 

CALEB : This is fun… ( he mutters to himself before shooting an undead that tried to grab him from behind) 

Aria dives head first into a gathering of demons with killer intent, demons attempt to surround and devour her but soon regret their decision as Aria jerks her head up and slams her palms together 

ARIA : Heavenly art : Field of stakes 

Hundreds of wooden stakes shoot out from the ground and impale every single demon around her, causing other demons to look on in anger as their comrades were ripped to shreds due to the stakes spreading out within them and ripping them to shreds 

DEMON #1 : How dare you… 

DEMON #2 : I’ll kill you…. 

More demons rush towards Aria but she doesn’t seem moved as she places her hands on the earth and pulls out a bow after which she causes several small stakes to rise up around her 

ARIA : Anyone who dares enter this field will die a most horrific death at my hands… ( with a ferocity that sent chills down the demons surging towards her)…… Heavenly art : lucky shot 

Aria begins to let out several arrows fly without aiming with the demons thinking that she was scared and so too frightened to aim properly, but that logic soon proves wrong as the arrows she fired begin to hit them in the strangest way possible almost like as though they were all just lucky enough to hit unintended but deserving targets with the demons getting confused as to how she was manipulating the direction of the arrows without actually aiming 

Zino was not one to enter into combat himself so preferred to stay atop the roof the other apostles had just left and watch the battle from a distance 

ZINO : I wonder….. Sixth sealing thunder : seal of control : release – six demon unnamed arise 

A portal with a purple hue appears in front of Zino and six dark figures fly out of the portal and land on the ground; one looked like a bull but stood on two legs, another had three faces and nine hands, another had the head of a man with the body of a lion, another a goat head and legs with the upper torso of a man, another a snake with horns and lastly, one was pure bones with wings. These creatures stood before Zino and knelt down before him 

DEMON SERVANT #1 : Command us master, we shall do your bidding 

ZINO : Destroy your kind… ( with a voice that was filled with hate) 

The creatures nod their head and immediately rush into battle cutting down all demons that stood in their way, Zino stares down the carnage his minions are causing and wonders how long the war would last and if they would even be able to win it.
