Chapter 13

Sirius ceases his attack and rushes to where Agares had landed, upon reaching there he saw no-one, as he is about to leave he senses the presence of another and immediately takes a leap back and turns in the direction of the energy he had felt with Agares emerging from a portal with annoyance on his face 

SIRIUS : I’ve never known an archdemon to fight in such a cowardly fashion, masking your presence with that portal and attempting a sneak attack is quite cowardly and I can only but feel bad for Hell for having you amongst it’s upper echelons of authority 

AGARES : Silence!!! 

Agares is beyond angered at Sirius comment and decides to make him pay for it, he creates a blade of pure hell flame and sped towards Sirius attempting to finish it in one strike, unfortunately his plan fell through as Sirius dodged his slash with relative ease 

SIRIUS : Is that the fastest you can go??... Cause if it is, then I am really disappointed in you 

AGARES : How did you do that??.... I moved at faster than light speeds and yet you just stepped out of the way like as though it was nothing 

SIRIUS : news flash, FTL is my starting point when it comes to speed so unless you are running at infinity then you have no hope of keeping up with me…. ( with that being said, he creates a light blade construct and waits for Agares to come at him )

Agares charges towards Sirius again but this time Sirius doesn’t dodge but clashes blades with Agares with air dispelling from the area around them due to the collision, Sirius and Agares begin to fight in earnest but it seemed as though Sirius was having his fun with Agares as he blocked Agares’s strikes with relative ease, not bothering to hit back at the earl. 

ZARA : Heavenly art : Unsightly tendrils 

A dark cloud surrounds Zara and out of it several black tendrils begins to shoot out and grab demons and undead alike, draining everything from them until there was nothing else but bones 

JONATHAN : Damn ,that’s nasty 

ZARA : shouldn’t you be somewhere else?.... I’ve got things here, you may leave 

JONATHAN : oh c’mon, are you by any means try to send me away 

ZARA : yup… now be gone

JONATHAN : You hurt me to no end…. ( he says as he feigns tears) 

ZARA : Are you really gonna be like that?? 

JONATHAN : I can understand why you’d be so serious right now, OK how about we talk when we get back to Sanctuary 

ZARA : I can’t promise anything, we should focus in finding Elisa for now before thinking about any kind of romance even if it is quite tempting 

JONATHAN : I’ll be back… ( moving at sub sonic speeds he gets some distance between himself and Zara before catching up with a horde that was surrounding Natalie) 

Natalie was getting overwhelmed with the sheer number of dons and undead attacking her for some reason, no matter where she turned she was blocked from keeping a reasonable distance from the spawns of hell 

JONATHAN : Heavenly art : Chaos

A purple wave blows over the entire area in which Natalie was meant to deal with after which demons and undead begin to attack each other and rip themselves to pieces, Natalie sees this and uses it as an opportunity to get some distance between herself and the fight, finally coming to stand beside Jonathan 

NATALIE : I could have handled that 

JONATHAN : I know, but I got bored so I decided to help…. You can finish it up though 

NATALIE : Yeah sure, reality is often times disappointing…. Heavenly art : Erasing snap ( she snaps her fingers loudly and in an instant all demons and undead within her range of vision turn to ash) 

JONATHAN : Damn girl, that’s brutal 

NATALIE : Wanted to do that since but it seems they knew and tried to keep me from snapping anyways it’s over now, we should check on the others 

JONATHAN : Yeah sure, let’s go 

Sirius was done having fun with Agares and decided to finish his battle with him quickly, Agares was exceedingly frustrated at how low Sirius saw him as Agares could not stomach the pride with which Sirius blocked his strikes with ease albeit with the surrounding area being destroyed due to shock waves and redirected attacks

AGARES : Enough of this ( he takes a few leap back) ….. Unholy light ( a bright red light begins to shine around him as it forms a spiraling ball with its rotation whipping up the earth around him) 

SIRIUS : you’ve got to be kidding me… ( chucking at Agares attempt to manipulate light )

AGARES : I have had enough of your proud countenance time for you to die 

SIRIUS : Oh, quite unfortunate….. Enough ( in an otherworldly voice) 

Agares stopped in his tracks and his attack seized abruptly, Sirius smirked and began to walk towards Agares with slow and calculated steps 

AGARES : What is the meaning of this?? 

SIRIUS : My authority is above all things, as long as you are under the sound of my voice, you shall listen to me 

AGARES : Impossible, I shall not go down like this…. Come to me ( with a shriek that echoed across Lagos) 

The sound offset Sirius and caused him to stop in his tracks and cover his ears, after the shriek calm came with Sirius wondering why Agares had shrieked like that no too long after the life-force of all of Agares forces begin to converge to Agares, entering and causing him to evolve into an even more advanced and unsightly demonic entity 

AGARES ( ENHANCED)  : Now you shall feel my wrath ( in a loud voice which boomed across the city they were in) 

Sirius stared down Agares after which he burst into a sick laughter, Agares vexed by Sirius antics tried to smash him but Sirius leaped out of the way after which he puts up his palm facing Agares with a smug look 

SIRIUS : If you think that absorbing all your forces actually helped your chances against me then I’m sorry to say but you are sorely mistaken 

AGARES : I’ll make you eat your words, human scum 

SIRIUS : You can try…. Heavenly art : Laser 

Before Agares can react, a thin line of amplified light is shot from Sirius’s finger and cuts through him in the middle with the demon struck with shock at the speed and destructive capability of the attack. 

AGARES : what the…

Agares splits into two clean halves and explodes into ashes with the area behind him getting affected by Sirius attack as well with several large explosions occurring for a couple of miles back with Sirius watching the scenery with an absent mind. 

The other apostles converged at where Sirius was with none of them looking slightly satisfied by the easy victory they had just enjoyed with most looking sullen and others brooding rather loudly, Elisha sees this and tries to uplift the spirits of his subordinates by walking over to a place where he was visible to all eleven apostles.
