Chapter 4- Prison

Everything was over. 

In Zain's opinion, he successfully destroyed and avenged his parent's death. He destroyed his enemy and his daughter.

This calls for celebration but why there is uneasiness in his heart. He wanted this. He planned  this for so many years.

He was standing outside the courtroom in deep thought. 

He expected her to fight back this lawsuit. 

She's always headstrong and stubborn in achieving her goals. 

He expected this case to go on for months with multiple hearings before the final verdict. 

But everything was done in a day! 

Single Fucking Day!

She didn't fight back. 

She didn't argue. 

She didn't cry. 

She surrendered and accepted everything.

Her words kept ringing in his ear.

"From now on, We are over."

"I plead guilty."

"In the past 5 years, we never knew or met each other"

Zain repeated her words again and again, "From now on, we are over." He pulled his tie in frustration. 

"Cazzo!"

It's finally over.

In Prison.

It was the fifth day after Rizi's conviction, and she was in prison. 

The irony was she never committed those crimes, but who cares. It doesn't matter anymore who was at fault. She must pay for her father's sin. 

Rizi was dispirited and quiet. 

She neither got a chance to mourn for her father nor plan his burial. Loss, Grief, betrayal, pain, heartbreak, prison, everything was still difficult to accept for her.

She was in her orange prison uniform. Her jet black hair tied in a ponytail. 

Her eyes looked hollow with dark circles.

Her pale white skin covered in bruises and cuts. 

Black and blue marks were visible on her face, neck, hands, back, and legs.

She held a book in one hand and other hand clenched in a fist on her chest. She was walking quickly towards her cell as if she was escaping for her life.

All of a sudden, she was pushed hard and tumbled on the floor.

"What are you doing?" Rizi spoke turning her head towards the source of her push.

Rizi saw a playful smirk on Sasha's face. 

Since the day she has arrived, Sasha has not given up a single chance to bully and abuse her. For her, Rizi became a plaything to satisfy her desire for abuse and violence.

"What you gonna do bitch? Call for help?" Sasha bent down in front of Rizi with a cigarette in her mouth. She drew a deep puff and blew smoke on Rizi's face.

"You were told to clean all the toilets before morning. Why it's not done yet?"

Rizi coughed hard due to smoke, her hands trembled. She stuttered "I.. I did.. clean as per your instructions. I don't know why it's dirty again."

Sasha chuckled, and all of a sudden, her expression changed. 

She raises her hand, a hard slap landed on Rizi's face. 

"Well, little mouse, I can see it's not done properly. You know the deal for those who don't complete their task. Now, let's get started with your punishment. Shall we?"

Rizi widened her eyes. Her mouth was bleeding with the impact of slap. Pain from a day before of torture was still there. Rizi panicked and tried to escape. 

Sasha grabbed her by her hair and dragged her to the cell. She called her inmates Sophia and Jazz. 

They tore open all her clothes. Rizi cried, "Please..please.. please am sorry. I will clean it properly and will do whatever you'll say. Please forgive me. Don't do this to me."

Sophia and Jazz laughed.

They held Rizi's arm tightly and closed her mouth with their hands to suppress her cries. 

Sasha took a deep puff of a cigarette and brought the red burning edge of cigarettes near Rizi's underarms and pressed hard. 

Rizi's shook her head, and her muffled cries echoed in the room. Sasha continued to torture Rizi, marking cigarette burns on her underarms, side of her breasts, and shoulder blades.

Rizi ultimately passed out from the shock and pain.

At Bennetti Group:

Zain was sitting in his large office and working on his laptop. Life falls to a regular routine for him. 

He has sent his enemy's daughter to prison. 

He got engaged with Susanna, the girl who had helped him bringing down his enemy. A girl who saved him many years ago. He owes her everything.

He was supposed to feel happy. But there's an emptiness inside him. A hollow void as if he has lost a part of himself. 

His chest hurts, and he feels suffocated.

Her red eyes, her face, her words, her disparity, and her soulless trembling figure standing on the dock in the courtroom was deeply imprinted on his mind. 

It has been 3 weeks since she was sent to prison.  Since then, Zain is having trouble sleeping. He started taking sleeping pills to rest his body. 

To keep himself distant from Rizi's thought, he engaged himself more and more in work. He became more ruthless and tyrannical.

Loosening up his tie, Zain opened the first 2 buttons of his shirt to control his haggard and suffocated breathing. He stood up from his chair, went to the bar cabinet, and pour himself a glass of The Macallan Lalique Single Malt Scotch and gulped it in one shot.

He went back to his desk and started focusing on work again.

An emotional mess!
