ERIN SMILED WIDELY AS she entered the hall with her boss, Suriya. This was her first time attending a charity fundraiser ball in a whole month and she was sick with excitement. She looked down at her outfit, a short black gown that Suriya had sent to her as a gift an hour before the party. She didn't really have the luxury and time to afford such classy dresses so she couldn't contain her excitement and happiness.

"Quit looking at yourself so much, Erin. I know you look pretty but I look prettier." Suriya taunted with a devious smile.

Erin giggled at her. And she was right. She really did look like a million bucks. A floor length, blood red glittering gown adorned her slim figure and her make up and hair was expertly done. She was truly a vision.

"I bet you do, Suriya. You've got everyone's attention without even a trying." Erin commented, her eyes going over the people that were in the room. They were all looking towards their direction. It was discomforting.

"You silly girl, you're the one that's got their attention. They can't get their eyes off the young dark haired beauty." Suriya said.

"Oh, you can stop with the flattering, Suriya." Erin's cheeks heated up. Suriya was really a sweet woman with a bad marriage. Since she'd confided in Erin one Friday evening, they'd become more closer than a boss and assistant level. Erin had gotten to find out that Suriya was a very pleasant woman with a high, very high sense of humor. She really liked her boss. And Suriya happened to like her too.

"Would you hold my purse for me? I need to speak with the presenter. He's missing some list of our guests." She said. Erin collected the purse from her. "Why don't you get yourself a drink or something?"

Immediately she was out of sight, Erin turned and walked over to the serving table. She could use a drink and some snacks. There were all kinds of foods displayed on the table but she didn't want to eat because she was scared of staining her perfect dress. Suriya wouldn't let her live it down.

Once she was in front of the table, she picked a nice looking strawberry cocktail and some samosas.

  "You look incredible," Someone said.

Erin turned to look at the person. A man who was dressed in a very attractive looking tuxedo smiled slightly at her. He was very handsome. Freakishly handsome in a way that reminded her of.. Julian.

She tried to blot him out of her mind but he always managed to find his way there. After he had disappeared from her room that night, Erin had gone out of her way to avoid him. He had also helped to make the task easy. The few times Suriya mentioned him, it was either he was out of the country or he was conducting whatever important meeting through video conference. She believed it was better that way. For her own sanity.

"You're Mrs Suriya's IT assistant right?" He asked, his tone pleasant and friendly.

Erin smiled. "Yes. Yes I am. Erin Dexter. Nice to meet you."

"Oh yes. I know your name. See, you've become infamous. Everyone knows Erin Dexter at the Ferrari industries." He grinned playfully. He looked very young when he smiled. But he also looked aged as well. That didn't make any sense. "I'm Sebastian," He continued.  "Julian's Vice."

Erin froze. He was close to Julian. She gave herself a mental shake. The one time she was trying to mingle, it was still connected to that freak Julian!

"Don't worry, I'm not here to report anything. I just wanted to have a nice conversation with a pretty lady." He added immediately he saw her expression.

  "Oh.. Well.."

"What are you having?" He asked, breaking the subject. He was pointing to the drink on her hand.

"Oh, just.. Cocktail." She replied awkwardly.

Sebastian chuckled lightly and picked up a glass of champagne. "You know, I always wondered why it was named that. Cocktail. Cocks don't even have a tail."

"Huh?" Erin was confused. He had a funny, naughty look on his face.

"Well, in all my years, I've never had a tail pop out of my cock. That would be weird especially if it happened during sex." He explained, his face full of amusement.

Erin's eyes widened as soon as she got the joke. "Oh! Ooh!" She broke into laughter and he joined in.

JULIAN WATCHED from the other side of the room as Sebastian flirted with Erin. His Erin. He groaned frustratedly. She's not yours!

"Your direction has been on Sebastian and that pretty lady, any problems July?" Sarah asked, breaking his trance.

Julian turned to Sarah. He had asked her to accompany him to the charity dinner party because he hadn't wanted to have to ask any obsessed female. That was just going to open doors to problems he didn't have time to face.

He had no idea that Erin would be here. Of course Suriya had brought Erin in a bid to get his attention. Now he was forced to watch her practically make out in public with one of his men. Sebastian was going to hear from him damn it!

"Oooh, it's the girl, isn't it? Old Julian is jealous!" She exclaimed with a grin.

"I'm not, Sarah. I just..."

"You just can't get your eyes off of that girl! Oh my goodness! This is so beautiful to see!"

This one was going crazy here. She was probably already planning an imaginary wedding in her head.

Julian turned to look at her one last time. Sebastian was whispering something into her ear and she leaned in, almost too much that her breasts were rubbing his side. This was too much! He wouldn't let two horny people flirt publicly in his party!

"I'll be right back, Sarah." He said curtly and got up. He took quick strides to where they were both standing.

"May I ask what you two are doing trying to swallow yourselves alive in front of a hundred guests?" He queried in an angry voice. He didn't miss the surprise on Erin's face as she broke into a gasp and turned sharply to him.

"Jul— Mr Ferrari. You're.. Here.. Um.."

"We were just having a nice conversation, boss. How are you doing though?" Julian could hear the provocative tone in his voice.

"I'm wondering what you're trying to do with one of my executive's assistant. And you," he turned to Erin with a glare. "Don't you have anything to do? Are supposed to be running around men when your boss brought you here for work?"

He winced inwardly as soon as the words came out. He had obviously spoken too much.

      "Erin, I—"

"Excuse me," She finally said. He heard the quiver in her voice. Before he could mutter up a word, she walked away and left him and Sebastian standing there.

  "Go after her!" Sebastian urged.

Erin slapped the tears that were rushing down her face angrily. She just wanted to be alone. She wanted to get out of here. The stupid hot ball room with perfect women and men. She couldn't be among them. No matter how she tried. She was always the different one. Suddenly, she was pulled back into someone's chest. The air left her lungs as she forcefully slammed into him.

"Erin! You shouldn't be wandering off alone in the hallways!" Julian yelled slightly. His voice booming through the long hallway.

Erin glared at him and dragged her arm from his grasp immediately she got hold of her senses.

"What I do is none of your business, Mr Ferrari! Let me go!"

   "Look, we can talk—"

"No! I have nothing to say to you! I'm done with your mood swings. One time you're hot, another time you're cold. You came into my home uninvited and left without even a word a whole month ago! Then now you come and start acting all freaky and jealous! What is the matter with you!"

  "I—"

"You know what? I don't even wanna hear it. You can take your possessive attitude and shove it up your ass!" She yelled and walked away, her heels clicking on the hard, marble floor.

Erin sighed with relief as she saw an entrance to another room. She opened the door and stepped in. She just needed some time to herself. She needed to think. She needed to be far away from Julian—

She froze as she caught sight of the scene in front of her. What....?

A few feet away from her, a man and a woman stood there, the man's face was buried into the woman's neck. The woman was whimpering while the man was... Suckling on her neck? He was...

Before she could stop herself, Erin let out a loud gasp causing them to turn to her. He was.. A vampire!

The man licked his bloodied fangs as he stared at her interestingly.

"Well, hello there, come to join the fun?"

Feesh opened her eyes with a groan and looked around. Her eyes landed on Erin's beautiful face. Erin was her neighbor. "She's awake!" Her voice sounded distant and it brought an unbearable headache to Feesh. She winced, attempting to sit up but stopped short when Erin pulled her back into the sofa. "You're safe, Feesh. We're at my place. And... You just woke up from the dead." Erin said, staring down at her. "What.. What do you mean from the dead? Ahh..." Feesh groaned as her throat dried up. She needed water immediately. "Water.." She mumbled. "Jake, bring her some water please." Erin said, turning to her brother who was watching Julian like a hawk. That was when Feesh noticed that someone else apart from Erin and Jake was in the room. She cranked her neck to get a look at him. Tall, Handsome stranger. Also a brooding stranger. She wait

  • Julian   Chapter 12

JULIAN GAZED AT THE fancy glass cup that was filled with healthy, refrigerated blood, his mind a thousand miles away. He still couldn't get the terrified expression of Erin Dexter when she learned his real identity out of his head. "If I didn't know you better boss, I'd say you appear heartbroken." He didn't even realize that Sebastian had entered the room. He ignored his words because he didn't want to ponder on it. It couldn't be possible that, after hundreds of years with no emotions and feelings, one small girl would make him feel this way. He had never believed in true love or having a soul mate, but with Erin springing up in his life, things were so different now. He still felt the insane urge to go after her and protect her, but he needed to respect her decision. Right now, she was completely terrified of him and he wouldn't add to it by chasing after her and giving her no option. He would let

  • Julian   Chapter 11

JULIAN WATCHED HER FACE CLOSELY. She was still in a state of shock, unmoving, as she stared at him. Her face hardly betrayed any emotion, but Julian knew she was still shocked by the discovery. She knew what he was. She knew he was a vampire. A bloodsucker. "Erin... I know this might be a lot to take in, but.." "Have you always wanted to.. Suck my blood?" Erin interrupted him. Her voice was only a whisper. "The first time I met you, yes. Even now. I won't lie and say that I don't feel the raging thirst in my throat for your.. Blood, but I've had so many years of practicing self control when it came to blood thirst." She looked startled at his mention of blood. It was as if she still couldn't believe everything he was saying. "So.. You truly are a Vampire.." It wasn't a question. It was a realization. Her eyes refused to mee

"Well, hello there, come to join the fun?"Without any words, Erin turned and made to run away but before she could even take a step forward, she was grabbed and cruelly flung to the wall on the other side of the room. All the air was sent out of Erin's lungs as she hit the wall with force. She felt something crack and knew it was her bone. She fell to the ground with a silent groan. "You can go now, Margaret, you've served your purpose. I have time for this new toy." She heard the man, the vampire say with such a sardonic tone that Erin knew she was in big trouble. She was going to die. In a dark room. She sighed as she thought about he brother. Jake, she whispered inwardly, praying for him to be fine. Too weak to call for help, she lied there and watched as he stalked slowly towards her. She was going to die. She was sure of it. "You really are a special thing aren't you? The sm

"Erin dear, be careful.""Why do you say that, Mommy?" 10 year old Erin looked up at her mother confusingly. She and her mom were lying on the beach sand, the sun softly burning their skin. It was an amazing feeling and the day was peaceful. Erin didn't understand what she had to be careful about."You will find out later on about what I'm saying. For now, I just want to spend the little time I have with my baby girl." Her mother said with a clear voice. She smiled at Erin, a sad look crossing her beautiful face that was so much like Erin's. "Oh my beautiful Erin, you have such a wonderful gift. Very special, just like you."Erin frowned in confusion. It was like her mom was just talking in riddles today. "What gift mom? Can I fly? Do I have super strength?"Her mom bursted into laugher and ruffled her hair playfully. "No, silly. You have the ability to protect yourself
