"I suspected, that face of his is so—so..." Derek faded, trying to find a word to describe Eric.

"Handsome?" Evans offered, Derek shook his head. Evans grandma has excused herself to go use the bathroom and Evans had decided to use the opportunity and tell Derek his findings.

"I wasn't going for that," Derek mumbled. "Did you get anything else?" He asked.

"No, they didn't really say much. He handed it over to Andrew and they both departed." Evans told him.

"Hey, do you know what I just realized?" Derek said with a smile on his face as he looked at Evans.

"What?"

"Well, you thought Andrew had magical hands, but turns out Andrew might just have murder hands. You also saw the doctor as a cutie, turns out he is also working for 'The Boss'. Who else do you think is handsome, he might just be our murderer." Evans shot him a look and smacked the back of his head.

"Ow!" He moaned in pain, massaging his skull, a bit. The gesture messed up his head, making it cascade all over his face. He tried to pull it back, but he only seemed to make it worse.

"Let me help fix that," Evans offered and brought his hand to Derek hair before Derek could say another one. He started smoothening it back, smiling at how soft Derek hair felt, he loved how long it was. The moment brought his mind to the event that happened earlier in the morning. Derek had walked out with only a towel around his waist and one drying his wet hair, all Evans had wanted to do at that moment was eat him up. The water that trickled down his abs and the way the sun shone on his body, giving it a glowing look. He had kept on staring at Derek forgetting his very being. When he had realised what he was doing, he had thrown a pillow at Derek's face in panic and ran out of the room. He was relieved when Derek hadn't brought it up during breakfast, because he felt he would have died of embarrassment.

Derek closed his eyes giving a low hum at the feeling of Evans soft fingers trending through his hair and massaging his scalp. "Your hands feel really good," Derek moaned. "I bet you will be great at giving massages."

Evans smiled and shook his head. "Who knows, maybe one day I will give you one." Derek turned around to give him a wink making Evans blush. He gave a last smoothening and patted Derek's head. "There, that's all better now."

Just then a small knock was heard, Evans jumped back a tad bit in surprise. They both glanced at the door wondering who it was, It opened slowly and Eric walked in.

"Sorry if I am interrupting. I came to give your grandma her pills." He looked towards the bed where Evans grandma was supposed to be in.

"You—you were not," Evans stuttered. After what he had just found out, he found it hard to talk to Eric freely. Derek didn't say anything, but the look on his face said it all. "She's in the bathroom, she will be out soon."

His grandma came back to the room soon afterwards and Eric helped her take a pills. "With the way things are going you may just be here for only two days before you're is being discharged." Eric informed her.

Evans watched him, he can't believe Eric was involved with someone like Andrew, he looked so calm and gentle, it's hard to imagine him violent. Evans had seen him work with patient and the way he always checked on his grandma, it's hard to believe the same person was involved in drug business.

"Good, my buttocks needs something comfortable than this bed," She said from the bed, doing a little wiggle with her hips on the bed.

"Grandma!" Evans slammed his head a little embarrassed by his grandma words. "But I remember asking if you wanted your bed to be brought here, you said no, that you were comfortable in that."

"Yeah, that's because I wanted a change, now I am tired of the change. No offense Eric darling."

"None taken Ma'am," he sent her a small smile, then turned back to Evans. "If you want to inquire more, you could come meet me in my office, just ask one of the nurses." He shot Derek another look, who kept a straight face and brought Evans even closer to him. Eric cleared his throat and then left the room.

Evans turned around to face Derek immediately the door closed behind Eric. "And I am the jealous one?"

"What do you mean by that, I wasn't being jealous."

"Yeah, and how about you telling him that I am your 'boyfriend', when we both know..." He suddenly remembered that his grandma was in the room. "- When we both know that you're totally my boyfriend who I... Uh, happen to love very much."

"Awww," His grandma cooed watching them.

 "Look at you guys being all couple–like, that's so beautiful." They both smiled at her, if only she knew.

Soon, they went home. "So, how does it feel, knowing your Prince charming is not so charming after all." Derek told Evans as they both walked into the apartment.

"He is not my prince charming Derek." Evans rolled his eyes. "Now that you know they are going to send the fake autopsy result, what are you going to do?"

"Nothing, the result wouldn't help much with the case, and we already know why they are sending in the fake, no need to waste our time on that."

"So, what next?" Evans asked excitedly, he was really looking forward to doing something exciting. Being around Derek had proven to be more interesting than his paintings. Derek glanced at him amused.

"You are really enjoying this right?" Evans nodded his head. "Well, tomorrow, I am going to the office to go over some things, and you're going to your art shop to work." He told Evans as he removed his jacket, Evans stared at him, expecting more, but Derek didn't say anything else.

"That's it? Nothing else? Boring."

"Well, you won't exactly be doing nothing really, you can try to find out more on the relation Louis had with your co-workers. People don't just decide to kill someone with a paintbrush, all my time, this is the first I have ever seen." He shrugged. "An artist on the other hand, you never know."

~~~~~~~
Evans sighed, for the first time in a long time he didn't have time to paint, he was supposed to be drawing something related to depression. The Statesmanship award was trying to create awareness of depression and teen suicide. The mayor was the one hosting it, he has always been the one hosting the event, so it was pretty big. He looked round the quiet art room, other artist were busy with their canvass, he glanced back at his empty ones, who was begging for the taste and sweet touch of his paint and brush. If Louis was here he would probably say something about it, Evans thought.
Evans had to admit that no matter how he hated Louis, who always sought to make his life miserable. He missed him, he was a character who Evans hated, found annoying and also entertaining. He loved watching how Louis head would go all red and how he looks like he wanted to throw a tantrum like a little kid anytime Evans bothered him.
He glanced at his canvas one more time, and felt sorry for abandoning it. He stood up and walked over to Simon desk, just as he stopped beside Simon table, someone rushed past him, pushing him to the side so hard he almost lost his balance. He was about to raise his voice when he saw it was just Aurora. One hand was over her mouth while the other held her tummy, she rushed out of the room in a hurry, earning the attention of everyone in the room.
"What's up with her?" Evans asked as he sat on a stool beside Simon.
"Should be the morning sickness." Simon told him, eyes still trained on the canvas.
Evans glanced at the exit door, then back at Simon, "Morning sickness?"
"Yeah, she doesn't want to admit it yet, but I know the signs, she's pregnant." He shrugged, finally looking up at Evans.
"Really?" Simon nodded. "Wow, that's funny, she was the same person that didn't want kids. Remember when we all came over for the naming ceremony, and she had said she doesn't ever plan to have one."
"Yeah, must have changed her mind, who knows. So, now that you are here, wanna tell me why you've been a ghost lately?"
"Ghost?" Evans laughed nervously. "What do you mean? I have just been really busy lately."
"Riiiiight!" Simon said stressing the 'i' "When have you ever been 'really busy'?" He shot him a suspicious look, then like something hit him, he gasped. "It's the hot detective isn't it?"
"What 'hot detective' are you talking about?" He knew who Simon was referring to but decided to play dumb.
"Oh please, don't try that with me. You know who I am talking about. Long hair, green eyes, suit and all that. You guys are dating right?"
"No no, we aren't, Derek is just a... Well, a friend."
"You guys should come double date with Damon and I. Please don't say no Evans." Simon continued like he hadn't heard a single word of what Evans had just said.
"But Simon I just said that... What are you doing?" Simon lips were in a pout and his eyes carried one of the saddest look Evans has ever seen. "B—But... Fine, we'll double date with you guys." His face slowly transformed and replacing his face was a happy look. "Yay! This would be amazing, you and hottie detective would get married and have a son, and Damon and I will have a son too, our sons can become best friends and marry in the future, Oh, their wedding would be..." Evans sighed, staring into space as Simon rambled on, he should have remained at his desk.
~~~~~~~~~

"So have you had any luck lately with what I asked for?" Derek asked Luke, his friend who worked with special intelligence.

"Well, I found something, I don't know if it's of any importance, but come see," Luke said. Derek walked over, looking at Luke's computer, from over his shoulder. "So, I was looking for any old photos of Walter a week before his death, and I found one with him discussing with a guy at midnight, Central park."

"Who is this guy?"

"Did some research, he is an artist."

"An artist?"

"Yeah," With on click a picture appeared on the screen. It showed Walters who seemed to be in a hot argument with someone, no other than-

"That's Andrew Perkins," Derek said quietly.

"You know him?" Luke asked. "I searched, the guy has a clean record, also he and his art team were the winner of the last year Statesmanship award. He also happens to be close friend with the Mayor." He turned his chair around, lookjng at Derek. "I will try and find out more, but this is what I have got now."

"No Luke, this is actually big and has helped. This means that I am on the right lead and if I work on this path, I will just found out what exactly happened to Walter." He told Luke and glanced back at the screen. Walter looked really angry, so did Andrew, he wondered what they could have been discussing at that moment.

Derek realized he has three case on his hand, he needed to find out what really happened to Louis and Walters and also burst the cocaine business who has been operating secretly during the Statesmanship award show.

"What does 'Meh' mean?"~~~~~~~"Evans!" Simon called as he opened the door, wrapping his tiny hands around Evans as he hugged him. "Ok, I think this is it," Derek said as he parked his car looking at the apartment beside it. Evans glanced at the one storey building, it was all brown and white, and looked like any normal house, Evans had to admit he was surprised, for a cocaine gang, he expected a house that speaks for a 'cocaine gang'.They got out of the car and walked towards the front door. Evans remembering something stopped walking, Derek noticing this, stopped also and turned around. "What's wrong?"He looked round the area they were in. "Did you bring a gun?" He said, his voice so low Derek couldn't even grab the words."I didn't catch that.""I said," Evans started, his voice a little higher this time. "Did you bring a gun? We're not entering there without a gun."Derek chuckled, "Yes Evans, I brought a gun." He said mimicking Evans tiny voice. Evans shot him a look and smacked his head, making Derek wince. They a

    Silence reign as Derek and his mother found themselves in a staring contest, you could feel the tension in the air. Evans glanced at Greta, question in his eyes, but all she did was shrug."What are you doing here?" Derek finally spoke, his voice one that Evans hadn't heard before, they sounded so cold and unfriendly that even his mother flinched a little from it."I—I came to see my son," She said the last two words slowly, like she was afraid from the reaction she would get from it."Well, your son doesn't want to see you, so I suggest you kindly leave, thank you." He proceeded to walk past her, but she reached out to grab him by the elbow quickly."Derek please, I'm sorry," She begged, the tears welling up in her eyes."I'm not in the mood for this mother," He said not looking at her, dragging his hand from her hold, he walked away leaving her.She stood there, the tears running down her fa
