LOGIN"Ok, I think this is it," Derek said as he parked his car looking at the apartment beside it. Evans glanced at the one storey building, it was all brown and white, and looked like any normal house, Evans had to admit he was surprised, for a cocaine gang, he expected a house that speaks for a 'cocaine gang'.
They got out of the car and walked towards the front door. Evans remembering something stopped walking, Derek noticing this, stopped also and turned around. "What's wrong?"
He looked round the area they were in. "Did you bring a gun?" He said, his voice so low Derek couldn't even grab the words.
"I didn't catch that."
"I said," Evans started, his voice a little higher this time. "Did you bring a gun? We're not entering there without a gun."
Derek chuckled, "Yes Evans, I brought a gun." He said mimicking Evans tiny voice. Evans shot him a look and smacked his head, making Derek wince. They arrived the front door and before Derek could press the bell, it was pulled open by Jane.
"Took you long enough, come in," She said and went inside not waiting for them, they shared a look before following her into the apartment.
If the exterior surprised Evans, the interior was even more. It was all white and blue, everything. From the paintings on the wall down to the furnitures. "Woah! You have a beautiful house here."
"Thank you," Jane said. "This is my home away from home, whenever I want to get away from all that gang bullshit, I come here, to relax and think. Please have a seat."
"Thank you," Derek said, sitting down on one of the two sitter couch, Evans took a seat right next to him, coming a bit too close. Derek and Jane may have made a promise the other day not to cross each other's back and to keep their meetings secret, but Evans still couldn't shake off the fact of who she was.
"Can I get you anything?"
"No, thank you. We're fine." Derek told her. She nodded her head and took a seat that was nearly opposite the one Derek and Evans were sitted on.
"Ok, so ask away."
"Andrew Perkins, who is he exactly?"
"Well, first, he is a big bastard. He works for the big Boss. Don't ask, I don't know who the big Boss is, he operates through Andrew, his identity has been kept hidden." She shrugged. "He is very dangerous though, heard he has a way of making his debtors pay."
The last part got to Derek, could Walter have been a debtor? He wondered. He remembered how Andrew had said they had their guy working in the hospital, and the doctor who gave the wrong report on Walters, just how many hospitals did they have their guys in. "What do you mean by making them pay?"
"Well, I don't know much, I don't really like to get myself involved in this, I just control, make my guys deliver and live my life. But Torento, he has been involved with Andrew on several deals, he was in the room doing one of their operation on a certain dude. Torento said they injected a particular substance they cooked up. He left, but he said he was sure whatever they gave him was a killer." Evans gulped at this information, he hadn't even met the Boss and he was already terrified of him.
"This Boss, do you know if he will be around at the Statesmanship award?"
"Well, this is our first business with him, so I am not sure. All, we were asked to do is get someone to deliver it to Andrew at the award, he gives us our money, and that's it. But now, we are having problem in finding who to deliver for us, since Louis death."
"I can deliver," Evans spoke up suddenly, making Derek and Jane look at him in shock and disbelief. "What?" he asked turning to face Derek. "It will help in your case, it will help-"
"No. No, I am not letting you go through that, it's dangerous."
"But Derek, all I am going to do is deliver, right?" He turned to Jane, who nodded. "They give me the money, and that's it. This is just so I can catch a glimpse of who this boss is. Hey! I can wear one of those secret camcorders that they wear in the movies and we will have the tape as proof."
"What? No, no! How many times will I tell you it's never like in the movies-"
"This is actually the second time, but fine, I was just trying to help." He huffed and crossed his arms his chest.
Derek kept quiet, Evans was right, his suggestion would help in solving the case more, but this wasn't just the case and they were already drifting. His job was to find out who killed Louis, but he also wanted to expose the drug business that goes on in the award show. He currently had no lead in finding Louis murderer, the suspects he had weren't the one, he knew he had to dig deeper. "Alright."
"What?" Evans asked, making sure he had heard right.
"I said ok, but Jane," he looked at her. "We will need you to tell Andrews there will be two people supplying. I am not letting Evans walk in there alone." She nodded her head.
"I can do that."
Soon Derek and Evans had headed out, but just before they left, Jane called to them. "You should know whoever killed Louis is not one of my men and I doubt it's Andrew's either. Louis must have offended someone else for them to have killed him, so I think you should question the people around that art shop, an innocent face doesn't show the evil mind."
Derek and Evans had gotten into the car and driven away. Derek mind went to what Jane said and she was right, just because Louis was involved in drugs, doesn't mean he died from it. The gang would have used a gun if they wanted to kill him, the person who had killed Louis hadn't intended to kill him at first, why go to kill someone without a murder weapon. No, a fight must have gone on, and at the last minute, anger exploded.

"Can we stop by the hospital, I want to see my grandma," Evans told Derek as he drove back home.
"Sure, how is she doing by the way?"
"Great, the doctor said soon she will be able to come home." Evans said with a find smile, then remembering something, he turned to face Derek. "Why don't you come with me? I mean, you don't have to come if you don't want to, I just thought-"
"I would love to meet your grandma Evans," Derek told him.
Evans face brightened up with a smile. "Ok, ok then."
Minutes later they were walking up the stairs of the hospital, heading towards the room Derek mother was kept in. Just as they were about to open the door and walk in, it was opened from inside and out came Doctor Eric.
"Oh Hello," He said shooting Evans a charming smile. Evans returned it, a flush rose on his cheeks at the gaze on him.
"Hey," Derek observed the look on Eric's face, as it stared hungrily at Evans. The man looked like he wanted to eat Evans right up. A deep surge of jealousy rose and Derek found himself putting his arms around Evans.
"Hi." He stretched his hands towards Eric. "I am Derek, Evans boyfriend."
"B—Boyfriend?"
"Yeah, I am?" Evans asked, he didn't remember Derek asking him to be his.
"Yes, now if you will excuse us. We'll like to go see his grandmother."
"Of—of course, uhmm... Well, I guess I will see you later then," Eric said and proceeded to walk away.
"Why would you say that to him?" Evans asked immediately Eric was out of ear shot.
"No reason." He pushed the door open not giving Evans another chance to speak. They walked in together.
"Is that my Evans Boo-boo bear!" Evans grandma called out, which made Derek mind go back to when Evans had called him the exact same thing.
"The one and only Grandma Che-Che bear!" He ran over to his grandma and swoop her in his arms in a tight hug. Derek stood awkwardly by the door admiring the relationship between grandma and son.
Evans pulled back and turned to Derek. "Grandma this is Derek, he is... Uh, he is my boyfriend."
"What!" Her face lit up, in shock and surprise, she looked at Derek, who sent her a small smile and a wave, then back at Evans, then Derek again and back at Evans, her mouth open in an 'O' but no words came out.
"Grandma-" He was cut off with a light smack on his head. "ow! What was that for?"
"For not telling me this! I can't believe you Evans, I tell you everything, even the ones you don't want to know I still tell you. Who else knows about this? Am I the first to know? I better be Evans," She shot him a warning look, then turned back to Derek. "Well, don't stand there son, come here, come!" She beckoned excitedly. "Evy you sure do know how to go after the yummy ones, I tell you if it was back then, when I was young and still flaunting, I might just eat your boyfriend right up."
"Grandma!"
"I'm kidding!" She laughed, stretching her arms out wide to welcome the hug from Derek. "Evans go get me some orange juice."
"Now?" He knew his grandma was only just trying to make him go away, anytime he brought someone home, she always wanted orange juice.
"Yeah, I am so thirsty." She pulled back from the hug and directed Derek to sit on the couch beside her bed.
"Ok," He looked at Derek, who didn't even seem fazed by the whole situation, then went out of the room.
Evans wondered if he should eavesdrop on their conversation or actually go get the orange juice his grandma sent him for. He felt sorry for Derek because he knew the kind of questions his grandma would ask, he wouldn't be surprised if she found out herself that Derek wasn't really his boyfriend, but a one nightstand turned partner in solving the murder of Louis Fellington, the man who now haunts him most nights in his sleep.
Evans walked away from the door and decided to head first to the dispenser machine to grab a snack bar, he wasn't really hungry but just needed to get his mouth busy.
"What's he doing here?" Evans asked no one, he hid beside the dispenser machine, he hadn't even gotten the Orange juice he was sent for. He didn't want Andrew to see him, he was afraid he would recognize him and since he was going to be the one delivering, he couldn't let himself be seen till the day required.
Andrew sat down on one of the waiting chairs, he looked down his phone, scrolling through it, he dialled a number. Evans couldn't hear the conversation that went on between Andrew and whoever he dialled, but Andrew seemed inpatient. Evans wondered if he should take this chance and rush back to his grandma room and tell Derek, he would have texted him if he hadn't left his phone in the room.
He finally decided to wait, he could always take the news back to Derek. After the call, Andrew did nothing but just sit and wait, Evans watched him for awhile, getting tired himself, he slid to the floor, and rested his head against the dispensing machine.
"Sorry I kept you waiting." Evans sat up quickly, the voice sounded strangely familiar, but Evans was doubting it was someone he knew.
"No problem, you've got it right?"
"Yeah, but why do you need this anyway?"
"The police can get their hands on this, it isn't much, but still..."
"Ok, well I need to get back to work." Evans was sure he knew that voice, he peeped out from his hiding position and was met with Dr Eric.
"Later then." Eric walked away, leaving Andrew standing there, Evans decided it was time to leave.
Everyone was not who they seemed to be, and in a town like this, who just wonder if you can really trust anyone.
Derek eyes were trained on Evans lips, he stared like though, hypnotized. Evans froze as he wondered if Derek would kiss him, he kept on staring at Evans lips like he was admiring a piece of art, a piece of art whose image he forever wanted imprinted in his head.Just when Evans thought Derek wouldn't go through with it, but just then, Derek lips slowly descended on his, he did nothing at first, like in fear Evans might move away, then like a switch was turned on, he claimed the lips.Evans eyes fluttered close as he brought his arms up, wrapping them around Derek, going on his knees, he moved around and straddled Derek. Their tongues fought for dominance but Evans gave up quickly at the feeling of the fireworks Derek's mouth created in his head. Derek pulled back, breathing heavily."I am sorry, I couldn't help myself Evans. I won't do this, if you don't want me to," He said while staring deep at the green orbs of Evans

Evans had literally forced the clothes on Derek as he begged him to follow him over to Simon's for dinner"You won't go on a date with me, but you do this?" Derek asked as they walked out of the house."You never asked me out on a date Derek." Evans informed him."So, if I asked you out, would you say yes?" Derek asked, giving Evans a side glance."Meh!" Evans shrugged, he looked away from Derek so be wouldn't see the smile that crept on his face."Meh?" Derek stopped walking but Evans didn't, he kept on walking towards Derek's car. "What does 'Meh' mean?"~~~~~~~"Evans!" Simon called as he opened the door, wrapping his tiny hands around Evans as he hugged him. He pulled back after a moment and looked at Derek, who was standing by the side, not ready knowing what to do."Simon, this is Derek. Derek, this is Sim
"I suspected, that face of his is so—so..." Derek faded, trying to find a word to describe Eric."Handsome?" Evans offered, Derek shook his head. Evans grandma has excused herself to go use the bathroom and Evans had decided to use the opportunity and tell Derek his findings."I wasn't going for that," Derek mumbled. "Did you get anything else?" He asked."No, they didn't really say much. He handed it over to Andrew and they both departed." Evans told him."Hey, do you know what I just realized?" Derek said with a smile on his face as he looked at Evans."What?""Well, you thought Andrew had magical hands, but turns out Andrew might just have murder hands. You also saw the doctor as a cutie, turns out he is also working for 'The Boss'. Who else do you think is handsome, he might just be our murderer." Evans shot him a look and smacked the back of his head.&nb

Silence reign as Derek and his mother found themselves in a staring contest, you could feel the tension in the air. Evans glanced at Greta, question in his eyes, but all she did was shrug."What are you doing here?" Derek finally spoke, his voice one that Evans hadn't heard before, they sounded so cold and unfriendly that even his mother flinched a little from it."I—I came to see my son," She said the last two words slowly, like she was afraid from the reaction she would get from it."Well, your son doesn't want to see you, so I suggest you kindly leave, thank you." He proceeded to walk past her, but she reached out to grab him by the elbow quickly."Derek please, I'm sorry," She begged, the tears welling up in her eyes."I'm not in the mood for this mother," He said not looking at her, dragging his hand from her hold, he walked away leaving her.She stood there, the tears running down her fa
