LOGINEEvans watched his grandmother as she slept, she looked at peace as she smiled in her sleep. His mind drifted to the day of his parents death, he was there, in the backseat when a tree decided suddenly that it would like to lie down, and its resting place was on his Father's car. It crushed his parents to death, missing him by bits. Evans had sat in shock, watching his parents squished body and their blood ooze out. Later, he had been brought out by the people around. His grandmother almost had an attack when she heard the news of her son and daughter-in-law death. One morning, they were all exchanging greetings and having breakfast and the next, they were dead.
Evans removed wisps of her red hair from her face, putting them behind her ear, he walked back to the couch and continued with the book he was reading. Minutes later, she moved around for a bit and her eyes fluttered open. "Evans," she said weakly sitting up on her bed.
He dropped the book at the sound of her voice and walked over to her. "Hey," He said adding more pillows at her back, to make her lay comfortably. "How are you feeling?" He asked as he sat down at the foot of the bed.
"Better I guess, the doctor said if my body kept up with this progress, I would soon be discharged."
"That's good news, I miss having you at home. I miss your cooking also, especially your meatballs, you wouldn't still give me the secret ingredient." He said rolling his eyes.
She gave a mischievous smile, "I never gave my husband or your father, but we'll see about you." Evans laughed along with her, his grandmother made the best meatball and the sauce was so good, it was almost orgasmic. But she never gave any one the recipe, Evans has tried several times, and yes, his meatballs tastes really good, but not like his grandma own.
"Well, I suppose I can always wait." He said. They went on talking, Evans giving her the latest gist in town, and she talked about the cute man with the kidney problem, in the room away from her.
"You should see him Evans, he is... What's that word? Eh.. Yummy!" She said finally, with a satisfied smile.
"Grandma!" Evans laughed covering his face in embarrassment. "You can't say stuff like that."
"Why can't I? If you can say it, I can." Evans shook his head amused and they went on, she told him about her day, Evans listened to her, as she spoke, a smile on her face as she related the story of a nurse who fell down flat on the floor, all because she was paying more attention to the new doctor than the patient whose wheel chair she was meant to be pushing. Evans laughed alongside his grandma, when they suddenly heard a knock on the door before it opened slowly, revealing the doctor.
He must be new, Evans thought. He hadn't seen him before.
"Sorry if I am intruding." The man said, making Evans and his grandma to shake their head.
"Not at all Eric," His grandma said. "Evans this is William, the new transfer doctor, Eric this is Evans, my grandson."
"Nice to meet you." Evans said while standing up to offer a handshake. Eric accepted it, giving a dazzling smile.
"Same here Evans," He stared into Evans eyes while saying this, his thumb finger brushing against the back of Evans skin. Evans gave a smile stepped back. Dr. Eric asked his grandma some questions before leaving.
Grandma Sarah turned to look at Evans shooting him a knowing smile. "He seemed interested."
Evans laughed, "Obviously."

Derek stared at the young lady in the screen, he was sure he had seen her somewhere before, and he was getting frustrated in not figuring it out. He thought of calling Brian his friend at the office to help him out with it. if he had seen the lady before and she stood here with El Torento, shey had to be involved somehow.
"Derek?" Evans called from just outside Derek's office. "I am coming in with warm milk." The door knob twisted and slowly the door opened to reveal Evans, holding a mug in his right hand.
Derek turned around to look at him. "Hey, I didn't know you were back. How is your grandma?"
"I arrived just few minutes ago. My grandma is great, the doctor said she would be discharged soon," Evans said as he walked further into the room. He laid the mug on the table beside the chair Derek was sitted on. His eyes went to the screen in front of Derek. "Woah, is that El Torento?"
"Yeah."
"Who is the lady with h... Wait a minute, I know her, or I have met her, whatever." Derek turned around to look at Evans in surprise. Here he was trying to figure out who the lady was for hours, only for Evans to have known her all along.
"You know her? Are you sure she is the one?" He asked glancing from the screen to Evans and then back to Evans again. Evans nodded leaning closer to get a better look, his head beside Derek's. Derek caught a whiff of the the fresh lemony scent that came off Evans, it entered his nostrils, teasing him.
"Yeah, that night in Nightlife, she was the girl I was dancing with before you... uhmm..." His cheeks flushed as he found it hard to say the words that were already on his lips. Clearing his throat "She was the one, I am sure of it." Derek could see it now, she looked different here, her whole attire speaks of authority, he would never had believed she was the same woman that was rocking Evans ass at the club, if Evans hadn't confirmed it himself.
"Wow, she looks different." Evans said voicing Derek's thought. "but what would she be doing with someone like El Torento. She doesn't seem like the kind of person to hang with someone like that. She seems sweet and nice and he is just ugly."
"You don't know the lady Evans she could be dangerous. We would have to go back to the club and see if we can find anything about her, or even better, find her ourself."
"OK, I'm going to sleep," Evans murmured rubbing his eyes tiredly, he stood up straight and raised his hands high, stretching his limbs and giving a great yawn. His shirt rode up revealing the flat tummy underneath. Derek looked away, he and Evans had shared a night together, but Derek was confused on where they stood. They had flirted a lot earlier, and Derek wanted to bring the topic up, he hasn't known Evans for a long time, but he knew he was a good person. The question on his mind was if Evans saw him as just a night stand that he unfortunately has to work with. "Hey, uhmm, is it OK if I sleep this night in your room again? Just for today though." He added the last part quickly.
"Sure, anything that makes you comfortable." Evans gave him a smile and Derek could see his flushed cheeks under the light of the room. He turned to leave but stopped and faced Derek. "Also, uhmm.. You must be tired, wouldn't you like to get some s-sleep?" He asked nervously, avoiding Derek's eyes as his gaze roam around the room, his palms rubbing together as he bit on his lower lips, unknowingly drawing Derek's attention to them.
Derek was about to refuse when he saw the fear in Evans eyes, it drew him back to the events of last night, Evans had woken up in the morning acting like nothing occurred in the middle of the night. But he wasn't fooling Derek, Evans was being haunted by something or someone from his past. Derek was going to bring it up during breakfast when he had decided against it. Evans wasn't ready to share it, and he wouldn't blame him, he hardly knows Derek, so Derek has decided to wait.
"Sure, you're right, I am really tired," He said faking a yawn, not missing the look of relief that flashed past Evans eyes. Together they both walked away, leaving the mug which contained the milk Evans had brought earlier, untouched.
~~~~~~~
Evans and Derek sat beside the only other empty table at Taco bell. When El Torento and whoever Evans hears discussing with him the other day arrived, they would have to sit in the only seat available, the one beside them.
They were both wearing baseball caps and glasses, Derek even had on a fake moustache, which Evans had been admiring enviously since he didn't get one.
His mind went back to early this morning, he had woken up to find himself cuddled up in Derek's arms, who was still fast asleep, he had been wondering how they had gotten themselves in that position when he realised that he didn't have a nightmare last night.
That's had been the first night where he hadn't dreamed of Louis ghost or death for awhile. He had felt rested and alive in the morning. He hoped every night could be like that, Derek had woken up minutes later, and Evans had tried to scramble away from Derek's body, only to slid and lie down flat on Derek's body. He felt a chill run up his spine as he remembered the feel of Derek's hard chest against his and the poking he had felt in his laps.
He brought his palm up to cover his cheeks which he knew was on fire.
"Hey, are you ok?" Derek asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just thinking about something."
Derek nodded slowly, "Do you want to talk about it?"
Evans was sure his cheeks were already tomatoes as he imagined Derek finding out what had been going through his head. "I-It's nothing really, I wouldn't want to bother you with it."
Derek looked like he was going to probe further, but he decided against it. "OK, if you don't want to talk about it no problem." Evans sent him a thankful smile. He looked down at the spaghetti in front of him. Picking his fork, he pushed it in the mountain of spaghetti set before him. Slowly, he wounded the spaghetti round the fork and lifted it up to his mouth, later decidimg agaimst it, he dropped it back on the plate.
"You don't like the spaghetti?" Derek asked watching him, he was already halfway through his and Evans and barely touched his meal.
"No, not that, it's just that I am so used to my grandma's spaghetti and meatballs, I tend to find others unappetizing."
"OK, your grandma spaghetti and meatballs has to be really good if they can stop your interest in other spaghettis and meatballs. But, i guess I do undertstand, you should have my friend Frank cook you a meal. I could go down on my knees and ask that man to marry me, but my problem is his wife, and she is one fiesty woman from Texas."
Evans laughed at this, "Well, you could taste my cooking sometime and tell me what you think,"
"Lord! He is an amazing artist, and also happens to know how to cook. Please marry me now," Damon said laughing grabbing Evans smaller hands into his from across the table.
"Nah to the no." he snatched his hands from Derek's. "You have to put a ring on it first."
Derek shot him a wink, "I just might."
Evans froze, he didn't know what to do, or what to even say, he knew Derek was only messing with him, but still, those words affected him in ways he didn't expect it too. Derek seemed to have noticed the change in Evans demeanor, he cleared his throat and looked away towards the entrance door, Evans followed his gaze and it was at that exact moment someone walked in.
He was dressed all in black, black coat and a matching black hat with it. On his feet was a pair of black boots, which had been polished till it shone. On his face was a goatee, he had a scar which ran from his cheekbones to his collar. it was El Torento, with a grim look on his face, his eyes surrounded the area, and as planned he walked over to the seat beside Derek and Evans.
Derek eyes were trained on Evans lips, he stared like though, hypnotized. Evans froze as he wondered if Derek would kiss him, he kept on staring at Evans lips like he was admiring a piece of art, a piece of art whose image he forever wanted imprinted in his head.Just when Evans thought Derek wouldn't go through with it, but just then, Derek lips slowly descended on his, he did nothing at first, like in fear Evans might move away, then like a switch was turned on, he claimed the lips.Evans eyes fluttered close as he brought his arms up, wrapping them around Derek, going on his knees, he moved around and straddled Derek. Their tongues fought for dominance but Evans gave up quickly at the feeling of the fireworks Derek's mouth created in his head. Derek pulled back, breathing heavily."I am sorry, I couldn't help myself Evans. I won't do this, if you don't want me to," He said while staring deep at the green orbs of Evans
Evans had literally forced the clothes on Derek as he begged him to follow him over to Simon's for dinner"You won't go on a date with me, but you do this?" Derek asked as they walked out of the house."You never asked me out on a date Derek." Evans informed him."So, if I asked you out, would you say yes?" Derek asked, giving Evans a side glance."Meh!" Evans shrugged, he looked away from Derek so be wouldn't see the smile that crept on his face."Meh?" Derek stopped walking but Evans didn't, he kept on walking towards Derek's car. "What does 'Meh' mean?"~~~~~~~"Evans!" Simon called as he opened the door, wrapping his tiny hands around Evans as he hugged him. He pulled back after a moment and looked at Derek, who was standing by the side, not ready knowing what to do."Simon, this is Derek. Derek, this is Sim
"I suspected, that face of his is so—so..." Derek faded, trying to find a word to describe Eric."Handsome?" Evans offered, Derek shook his head. Evans grandma has excused herself to go use the bathroom and Evans had decided to use the opportunity and tell Derek his findings."I wasn't going for that," Derek mumbled. "Did you get anything else?" He asked."No, they didn't really say much. He handed it over to Andrew and they both departed." Evans told him."Hey, do you know what I just realized?" Derek said with a smile on his face as he looked at Evans."What?""Well, you thought Andrew had magical hands, but turns out Andrew might just have murder hands. You also saw the doctor as a cutie, turns out he is also working for 'The Boss'. Who else do you think is handsome, he might just be our murderer." Evans shot him a look and smacked the back of his head.&nb
"Ok, I think this is it," Derek said as he parked his car looking at the apartment beside it. Evans glanced at the one storey building, it was all brown and white, and looked like any normal house, Evans had to admit he was surprised, for a cocaine gang, he expected a house that speaks for a 'cocaine gang'.They got out of the car and walked towards the front door. Evans remembering something stopped walking, Derek noticing this, stopped also and turned around. "What's wrong?"He looked round the area they were in. "Did you bring a gun?" He said, his voice so low Derek couldn't even grab the words."I didn't catch that.""I said," Evans started, his voice a little higher this time. "Did you bring a gun? We're not entering there without a gun."Derek chuckled, "Yes Evans, I brought a gun." He said mimicking Evans tiny voice. Evans shot him a look and smacked his head, making Derek wince. They a
Silence reign as Derek and his mother found themselves in a staring contest, you could feel the tension in the air. Evans glanced at Greta, question in his eyes, but all she did was shrug."What are you doing here?" Derek finally spoke, his voice one that Evans hadn't heard before, they sounded so cold and unfriendly that even his mother flinched a little from it."I—I came to see my son," She said the last two words slowly, like she was afraid from the reaction she would get from it."Well, your son doesn't want to see you, so I suggest you kindly leave, thank you." He proceeded to walk past her, but she reached out to grab him by the elbow quickly."Derek please, I'm sorry," She begged, the tears welling up in her eyes."I'm not in the mood for this mother," He said not looking at her, dragging his hand from her hold, he walked away leaving her.She stood there, the tears running down her fa
