2020-08-30 17:09:59I got up screaming. Panting, I brushed my damp hair back from my face. Another nightmare. And that horrible feeling of being watched! I slowly let my gaze wander. Darkness. As in my dream. A look at the clock told it was two o'clock in the morning. I suppressed a tear. The dreams were never that bad. Only since then ... since Vaher was gone. I left my bed, which was suddenly much too large, and ran to the window, which I first opened. My lungs greedily sucked in the fresh night air. Suddenly my apartment felt way too cramped. I hurriedly slipped into other clothes, then tore my leather jacket from the cloakroom and left my apartment almost stormy. A little walk would certainly not hurt. I quickly slipped my knife into my sleeve jacket. I let out a deep sigh that somehow released a little. Well, in the end I didn't know anything about Zayn Vaher. Days had passed. Maybe weeks, I don't know. I had lost track of time. A tingling sensation in my back tore me out of my grief and brought me back to reality. I couldn't forget that it was the middle of the night and I was already on the outskirts of town! I took a look over my shoulder and saw a group of young men dangerously close on my heels. Most of them were probably armed, but at that moment I hoped that wasn't exactly what the five were.

I didn't even blink, even if the guy in front of me had a murderous flag.

Cold and monotonous as I was, I stared straight into his cool brown eyes. He looked down at me in irritation, then burst out laughing.
"The little one is good!" He laughed and briefly looked at his colleagues who had now surrounded me.
"So you can take care of yourself, okay?" He asked plump fellow in front of me.
I nodded, unimpressed. There was a secluded cemetery nearby, just a few streets away, and I would have to be careful with my choice of words.
"Do I look like a little girl in your eyes?" I growled.
I stared at him furiously, whereupon he took a step back, but then suddenly drew a gun.
"And? How's it going now, little lady? "
Still unimpressed, I crossed my arms. I didn't worry about the gun. I was much more concerned with the other four guys. They could still be a problem.
Without much effort I reached for the weapon, which I also released and reloaded.
"Well, look at someone with ammunition? But someone had big plans for the night, ”I scoffed.
I didn't like that I had the upper hand myself. I had been tempted many times, but the power I now had surpassed everything. I would become a murderer if I kept repressing my feelings like this. Oh fuck it. As long as I didn't get lost, everything else was unimportant! The guys around me also took a few steps back, but now I saw metal and steel flashing in the darkness. I grabbed the arm of the guy in front of me in a flash, then turned him and put the gun to his head.
"I think it's better if you go before my position goes to my head," I grinned.
After less than two minutes, no one could be seen anywhere. What was left was the pistol in my hand. I thought about where to put it for a while, until I finally decided to slide it barrel first into my pants. I felt a bit stupid, but nobody was on the road anyway.
"You don't want to emulate Zayn, do you?" I heard suddenly next to me.
Now, frightened, I lifted my head. My eyes met that of the man who had recently stood angry in my apartment. Jere. I didn't really know what to make of this situation, but decided to get involved.
"Not really," I replied still coldly.
The muscular man eyed me almost approvingly.
"What does the good guy actually do? Is he driving you crazy? "
This guy seemed to be in a chatty mood.
"I have no idea." I answered his first question. "He is gone. No idea where to go. "
I shook my head and then turned fully to him.
“Jere, right? Why did you say human woman the other day? "
I looked at him, curious but as distant as possible. Jere raised his eyebrows in surprise.
"Zayn didn't tell you, did she?" He muttered.
I stayed serious.
“I knew he wouldn't give me any answers, so I didn't even ask. I took care of his injuries and looked after him, but that was it. There has never been more. ", I now explained, no longer quite as hostile.
“You took care of his injuries? And he allowed it? ”He asked in disbelief.
“He had no choice when he passed out. Who are you? His friend? Or a potential victim? "
Jere laughed a deep and throaty laugh.
