I know what I did was wrong but I'm proud of myself, I was able to leave that cursed land and when I become somebody I'll go back to Salaga to save other victims like me who are given to old men all in the name of early child or forced marriage and what is sickening about it is that these so called men are old enough to be their grandfather's. I'm really proud of myself that I was able to escape and I don't regret it one bit. Hmm!I now have to find a job and most of all shelter to lay my head and call my home throughout my stay in this city." Nicole said in thoughts.
MAK'S RESTAURANT.
"Good morning ma'am? "Nicole greets a lady who is about forty five years of age.
"Good morning young lady. How may I help you?" Rita asks Nicole.
"Please erm.....erm.......Please. " She says as she scratches her hair.
"Don't be scared, feel free and talk. "The older lady assures Nicole.
"Yes ma'am. I just came to Accra and I have nowhere to go, can you please employ me to work in your restaurant and I promise you that I won't disappoint you. Please? "Nicole pleads with the older lady.
Rita smiles and asks her."How do you know I own this place? "
"I met one your worker and she told me to come and speak to you because you own this place. "She replies to the woman.
"Okay! Where are you from ?" Rita starts to interview Nicole.
"I'm from Salaga. "
"Oh! That place is really far."
"Yes please. "
"So why did you come all the way from Salaga to Accra? "Rita continues questioning Nicole.
"Hmm! I was given out to an old man in marriage. I had to run away because I have to continue with my education, I want to be a successful woman in future, not to be given birth to babies and going to the farm.
"Aww! So sad. Your story is just like mine but I was not educated that much. I've been blessed with a good man who opened this restaurant for me and I'm a happy woman. My dear, you just have to believe in yourself and be positive about the future and everything will be well with you. I'll give you the job to work here as a waitress. "
Nicole goes on her knees." Thank you so much ma'am. Thank you. Thank you. I'm so grateful. "

Introduces Nicole and Prisca to each other. "Prisca, from today onwards Nicole will be working here as a waitress. Please take her to one of the quarters in order for her to settle down. She'll start work tomorrow so make sure you give her some uniforms before the close of the day. "Rita instructs Prisca on what to do.
