2020-09-08 20:57:17"That wrench! I will make sure you will suffer and regret offending me today!" Qi Fan shouted and grips on her skirt. The shout startled her maidservant Jin, looking at her young madam she immediately went to the private room where the young masters are.
Jin lightly knock and was greet by Guanting's servant Lou. She whispered that the young madam needed her husband. Seeing the worried look of Jin, Lou approach Guanting and whispered the message to him. They excused themselves from the rest, thankfully they are done discussing the important matters.
Opening the door Guanting was welcomed by the crying Qi Fan. He feels like something is gripping his heart hard, making it difficult for him to breathe. He slowly sit beside his wife, fix the strands of Qi Fan's hair and placing it behind her ears.
"Fan'er what happened you were just happy bonding with your friends and cousin?" Guanting's aggrieve tone reached Qi Fan's ears and she slowly look up. Her beautiful eyes are full of tears and red, it is even starting to swell.
"Lian'er said I am *hic ungrateful to Xiuying... *hic that I snatch you from her *hic wuwuwuwu!" Qi Fan hook her arms to Guanting's neck and burried her face to the crook of his neck.
"She is definitely wrong I am yours from the time that I laid my eyes on you... Don't worry about her, I'll talk to your grandfather and second uncle about her behavior." He held Qi Fan's face in front of him and wipe her tears carefully with his thumb. "Okay?"
Qi Fan nodded and hug her husband.
After a while the two went out however upon seeing the figure near the stage, Guanting with Qi Fan approach the man who is the manager of Ying Yue. "Ah... Young Master Long and Young Madam Qi Fan I hope you enjoyed your stay and delicacies here in Ying Yue."
"Yes we did and we will definitely be back for my meetings here..." Guanting flatter the manager and seeing that the old man is getting comfortable he was about to ask if he can meet the owner for colaboration when his eyes caught a figure leaning at the window of the owner's office.
She's observing the customers on the first floor. He is mesmerized by the young lady's beauty, Qi Fan not noticing the actions of her husband asked to be excused and said that she will just wait for him in the carriage. Long Guanting absently nodded not really hearing what his wife said and when the figure of Qi Fan is no longer insight he turned around to face the manager who is now talking to one of the waiters. He looks again at the window and sees that the lady is still there now with Qi Lian by her side. He remembers that the beautiful lady is the same one he saw three months ago in Qi Fu.
She must be Qi Lian's friend...
The manager noticed that Guanting haven't gone outside and staring blankly, he followed his gaze and sees that the man is looking at the owner. He is aware of everything that happened to Xiuying thus he doesn't have any intention to reveal her identity. Looking again at his boss, he noticed the hand gestures she is making. Though for those who don't know what gestures meant as it looked like she is just playing with the tassle in her hands.
Xiuying taught the loyal employees of Ying Yue and servants in their residence how to sign language to easily pass messages and instructions that shouldn't be known by others. The same were taught to the employees of Ying Yue who became part of intelligence group that Qi Ming and Xianyao formed.
"Ahem! Young master, is there anything else I can be of service?"
"Yes... who is she...?" Guanting hesitantly asked without looking away.
"Ahh...the young miss, all I know is she and the owner are close. Not to boast around young master but she is the mysterious musician that everyone is curious about! Such beautiful and talented one..."
Jin approached her young master who is in daze. She was sent by Qi Fan who is now getting impatient waiting for Long Guanting in the carriage with Lou guarding her. When Jin checked she only see him looking at the owner's office.
"Young master, young madam started to feel unwell..."
"Okay, tell her I'll be following soon..." Jin nodded and bowed before going back to her master.
"Manager Ba... is it possible to speak to the owner and the musician we will have a banquet soon in our fu. I would like to invite them as my grandfather admires how the owner manages Ying Yue and would like to hear the songs played by the young lady."
"This..." Manager Ba gave Guanting a troubled look.
"You don't have to worry about money, Ying Yue will be paid handsomely." Guanting confidently interrupted Manager Ba, thinking that the old man might be worrying about not being paid appropriately.
"Unfortunately Young Master Long, the owner has a rule of not to render its services outside Ying Yue and as for the young miss she isn't one of employees here nor she is getting paid for playing songs in Ying Yue. That is why I would like to apologize but we cannot grant your request."
"Is there any way to at least speak to the young lady perhaps I can convince her to at least play one or two songs for the Left Prime Minister?"
"There is no way, the owner forbids us to talk to the young miss. We were just given instructions of what to serve during her visits. I apologize for not being able to help you young master..."
