2020-09-08 20:57:23Qi Fan noticed that her husband wasn't himself and in daze these past month. Though he always pay attention to her and always visit her courtyard she noticed that there are times when his eyes isn't seeing her but another person. This shaken her confidence as a woman and began to worry if Guanting is planning to take in a concubine.
Guanting isn't any better as well, he keeps on remembering the musician of Ying Yue though he loves Qi Fan. These past month he felt his grandfather's disappointment to him, thinking that the old man have a great impression of Ying Yue's owner he started to think that if the musician is his then her connection to the owner would be his as well. Unfortunately despite asking Manager Ba a few times, his request to meet the owner and musician is always declined. His grandfather's birthday banquet is in two weeks but his plans to make him be glad again to him is fruitless.
Meanwhile in Qi Chen's family residence Xi Hui has been worried since receiving the invitation for the birthday banquet of Left Prime Minister Long.
"Hui'er you don't need to worry about this at all, we can just send gifts and not attend the banquet." Qi Chen coaxed his wife to calm down.
"Wouldn't it affect us in any way if we..." Qi Chen held Xi Hui's hand while helping her sit beside him before filling her cup with tea.
"He knows why we can't attend, I think he sent the invitation to make a stand that what happened back then was just a decision made by their first branch. We won't attend to his banquet as he knows that we don't want to see those people. He'll understand..."
"Mother why don't we just send him a letter together with the gift explaining ourselves..." Qi Ming added before sipping his tea.
"Or... we can send him an invitation for a show where the audience are his close friends like great grandfather?" Xiuying suggested before gleefully getting another plate filled with desserts.
"That's a good suggestion meimei! I heard he likes the songs you played but if you do that, his guests will know that you're Ying Yue's musician!"
"En... it is okay with me besides it is time but let's just invite those who are trustworthy and are friends with great grandfather as well..." Qi Ming and Qi Chen nodded in satisfaction to Xiuying's idea.
"That's good! Ying'er is the only one who lessen my worries!" Xi Hui stand up and hug the 'hamster' who happily smile at her before continuing on eating her beloved desserts.
"Wife you're being unfair to your husband!"
"Am I not your child anymore?"

After a week the Long Fu's housekeeper personally received an invitation from Ying Yue's owner together with a letter of apology of not being able to attend his birthday banquet next week.
Left Prime Minister Long heard a knock while he is reading documents in the study, frowning he invites his servant in. "What is it?"
"Master a letter arrived." Housekeeper Ji stare at his master meaningfully, he can't say too much seeing Guanting and Jing are inside as well.
"Oh let me see it..." Housekeeper Ji gave the simple dark red paper to Patriach Long. Upon opening it, the old man sees an exquisite handwriting and the smell of lavender filled the room.
"Hmmm what a cunning fox, is their servant still here?" Patriach Long commented while wearing a faint smile and glanced at his servant.
"Yes he is currently in the main hall waiting for your reply."
"Good, inform him that I agree."
"Yes master, this servant will inform them now."
"Okay go..." the housekeeper bowed and left the study.
"Father may I ask who was the sender? It looks like you received a good news for you to smile like that..." Long Jing asked and commented seeing that his father is suddenly in good mood.
"That was from Ying Yue's owner..."
Hearing that Guanting's eyes brightens "Grandfather is it regarding the invitation we have sent to them? Seeing you like this I guess they accepted and will be present in your banquet..." thinking of the possibility of seeing the lady who occupied his mind these past weeks he can't help but be excited.
"No, they won't be in the banquet..." Patriach Long calmly responded to the father and son duo. Hearing it, disappointment flashes in Guanting's eyes which Patriach Long noticed it.
"Then what was the reason for you to be happy receiving their reply?" Long Jing asked while frowning.
"Oh... that is because I received their invitation for a small gathering."
"Grandfather can I accompany you on that day then?" Guanting tried to asked calmly but his eyes betrayed him.
"That... you cannot." Patriach Long smirked, he knows that his grandson is trying to meet Ying Yue's owner and even heard that Guanting is interested to the musician. "They sent an invitation for one person only... Let's continue on discussing the matter earlier..."
Guanting and Jing nodded but the former's mind is elsewhere.
