Meanwhile in Long Fu, Guanting is outside his grandfather's study. Housekeeper Ji looks at the eldest young master of Long Fu waiting for the latter to speak up, he heard about the news of this man's former fiance and can't help but compare to the woman his master's grandson married. "I'm surprise you didn't look for me right after the banquet..." Patriach Long started he knows why this grandson of his had to wait for another day before speaking to him.
"Grandfather have you long known... who she is? Is that why you... you said I should give up?" Guanting asked hesitantly, not looking at his grandfather. He feels ashamed for what he has done. He almost killed her... if only I can turn back the time. To be honest he wants to go near her after hearing her name. She... who is far from what the rumored lady he knew.

Guanting didn't know how he returned to his courtyard that afternoon. However as soon as he arrived he was awaken from his thoughts by a maidservant from Qi Fan's courtyard who hurriedly informed him that his wife fainted.
