Introduction

It was already eleven in the morning and Amanda had just woke up. Loooking at the ceiling, she just thought of another day to laze around at home as if she need not work for a living. This was what every adult wished but in reality, no one could do it. 

Amanda would take around one minute to get up from her bed or sometimes even two minutes. The thing is that her size resticted her actions and could only enter her bath room through sideways. She was a 200 kg woman in Beauty city.

Amanda was actually working, as a freelancer. This was the only option she could choose as nobody wants to hire someone who disgraces the city. She was just selling products of her own and at times still made losses from her business.

From young, Amanda have just been bullied by other kids due to her size. She was a poor kid back then where she hides in the toilet to have her packed lunch. At times when the teacher wants the students to do group discussions, she would always be left out. It was obvious as she was a sore thumb in the class and what was surprising was that the teacher did not even care about her presence. Whenever the teacher takes attendance of the class, he would never read out her name and just took a glance if she was present.

It was even disgusting to call out her name as the image of the amount of fats on one's body will ingrain in their heads for the whole day. It was that bad. 

Amanda's parents, Mr and Mrs Beach, have pleaded the principal to accept her into the school and promised that she would participate actively in all Physical Education (PE) lessons. At that point of time, she was actually really sad that her parents had to do so much just to admit her into a school while others can just sign up their child easily. Amanda always wanted to slim down but Beauty city do not have any slimming center. She wants to slim down not because people around her kept mocking her but wanted to give her parents an easier life to live.

However, Amanda did not manage to slim down no matter how much time she spent working out at home and looking at how people control their diets online. She did not want to try eating pills or even approach the doctor because it would be costly. Her parents were the ones forking out money and not herself. Bringing more trouble to her parents was a no no.

Mr and Mrs Beach had been persuading the principles, directors and professors of schools for her education. Amanda would always hold her tears and not cry in the public as she did not want to even show others that her parents raised a crybaby. She would hug her parents and cry in their arms that she do not want them to help her anymore. A well-mannered child like her were not really common in Beauty city and that her parents were always proud of her.

In Primary school, nobody wants to befriend her as she was an alien to them. Her size, her portion of food and her uniform were all weird looking. The other children were like penguin sizes but for Amanda, she was like a baby elephant. The amount of food she eats was like a starved crocodile while other children eats just like a racoon. For her uniform, the seller did not expect for such a big sized primary school kid to exist and only could give her an XL sized shirt and skirt. Her parents bought the biggest sizes for her and went home to try adjusting her shirts and skirts. Amanda's shoes were the most difficult to find as her feet was fat but not that long. There were no shoes that fit a fat but short in length feet. She could only buy thos that could fit her fat feets and her feet would always bang the front of the shoes due to the sliding of her shoes when she walks.

In Secondary school, she eats more, growing vertically and at the same time, horizontally. Her puberty starts and pimples start to grow all over her face. When she goes for her Physical Education (PE) lessons, her sweat added to her oily and shiny face which was disgusting to look at. Over time, she was aware that her face was difficult to manage and would always bring packets of tissue with her. At times, she would excuse herself to visit the washroom just to clean her oily and sweaty face. 

In Polytechnic, she would eat alone in the canteen. Even when there were no seats around, nobody would asked if she could share the table. Amanda was all alone from young till a teenager. Her parents were worried and would comfort her whenever she feels that she should not deserve to be in this world.

In University, Amanda studied in a medical field course and did pretty well. Being unaware of a sudden incident, she was still scrolling through her phone during lunch time until an unknown number called her phone. She received a phone call saying that her parents went through a car accident and the doctors... The nurse have not finished her words and Amanda hung up on her. She ran as quickly as she could to take a taxi to the hospital. It was the fastest transport she could take to get to the hospital. Taxi drivers did not want to stop for her but she managed to stop one by standing in the middle of the road. She took at least a minute to get into the backsit of the taxi as she knew the front seat was too squeezy fro her.

Amanda rushed to the hospital, asking the receptionist where Mr and Mrs Beach were. The nurse glanced at her once but could not believe her eyes, taking another glance to look at a giant standing in front of her. She could not believe her eyes, jaw dropping with shock. This was not a time to make fun of her size as her parents were in life danger. Amanda banged the table hard, shocking everyone around her. The nurse came to her mind and started checking where Mr and Mrs Beach were. The nurse's voice quivered, replying her " Rooo...mm twenty...eig...ht " 

Amanda rushed to room twenty eight but only could see her parents outside the glass window. She was not only worried but a mixture of sad, afraid and frightened feeling possessed her. They were the only ones that cared about her in Beauty city and they were in life danger. Amanda was helpless, she could not do anything but just hope that her parents would be fine.
