Chapter 24: Best Night Together

Prince Ace’s POV

I am excited later because Anna and I are going to watch the fireworks display. It's is our second date together.

I talked to my dad that I have a girlfriend and my dad’s reaction is so hilarious. He wants to meet Anna. I’m happy that dad supports our relationship.

It's already afternoon, and I'm going to the mall to buy groceries and maybe wonder at the department store. I got ready and went to the mall. When I arrive, I went grocery shopping. After that, I went to the department store and bought new clothes and pants. As I was passing by the jewelry shop, my eyes caught a beautiful but simple necklace, so I went inside the store.

"Good afternoon, sir,"

I went near the necklace that caught my eyes. This necklace is perfect for Anna.

“How may I help you, sir?”

“May I see that necklace?”

“Oh. You’ve got a perfect eye, sir. This necklace is delivered this morning, and it's discounted. Do you want to buy it?"

"Yes, please,"

"Ok. Wait for a minute,"

“Ok”

After a few minutes, the saleslady went back.

"Here you go, sir. Is this for your girlfriend?"

“Yes”

"She will love it,"

"Thank you,"

After that, I paid for the necklace, and I went down to the baggage counter to get my grocery items and went back to my condo unit.

When I get back, I laundry my new clothes and pants because I'm going to wear them for later.

I look at the time, and it's still 4 pm. I should text Anna.

Convo:

"Good afternoon, Anna,"

"Good afternoon, Ace,"

“What are you doing?”

"I'm in my apartment room. Probably getting ready for later. I'm excited,"

"Me too. I will be waiting for you outside the apartment at 6:30 pm so that we can eat and roam around,"

“Ok”

"See you later,"

"See you later too,"

It would take 30 minutes to arrive at Paradise Beach Resort. We will take a bus.

Annalise’s POV

Ace texted me that she would wait for me at 6:30 pm outside the apartment building. I’m so excited later. Maybe I will prepare what I will wear later.

I went to my closet and pick clothes to wear. I pick a high waist jean, long sleeve turtle neck, and a sneaker. It’s perfect.

By the way, this morning I went to the mall and bought a watch for Ace. I hope he will like it.

Fast forward, and it's already 5:30 pm, so I better get ready. After 30 minutes, I am done taking a bath. I get ready, dressed, and wear a little make-up.

I checked the time, and it's already 6:30 pm. I think Ace is already waiting outside. When I am outside the apartment building, Ace is there already.

“Ace”

"Anna. You look nice,"

"Thank you,"

“Let’s go?”

"Let's go,"

Narrator’s POV

Annalise and Prince Ace rode a bus. After 30 minutes, they have arrived at their destination, which is Paradise Beach Resort.

"There's a restaurant on top of that building. We should eat there and go to the shore to see the fireworks display," Prince Ace said.

Ok”

"It's my treat,"

The two of them went to the top of the building to eat. When they arrive, they ordered dinner and find a seat. When their order arrived, they both happily ate.

When they are done eating, they went to the railings. Time check, it’s already 7:30 pm.

"Anna. I talked about our relationship with dad,"

“And what did he say?”

"He says that he wants to meet you. He supported our relationship,"

"That's good to hear. I'm excited to meet him too,"

“Can you close your eyes, Anna?”

“Why?”

"Just close your eyes,"

“Ok’

Prince Ace picks the box of the necklace in his pants. He opened the box and put the necklace on Annalise's neck.

“There. It looks good on you,"

"Wow, it's beautiful. Thank you, Ace,"

"You're welcome,"

"Oh. I have something for you too. Close your eyes,"

“Ok”

Annalise pick the box out of her bag, opened it, and put the watch on Prince Ace's wrist.

"You can open your eyes now,"

“Wow”

“Do you like it?”

"I super love it. Thank you, Anna,"

"Always welcome,"

"Oh, it's almost 8 pm. The fireworks display will start in a bit. Let's go to the shore and roam around,"

“Ok”

Prince Ace and Annalise went to the shore and roamed around. They roamed the seashore while holding hands.

When it's already seconds till 8 pm, the countdown started. All the people who want to witness the fireworks display also countdown loudly, including Annalise and Prince Ace.

“10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Yehey!”

"It's so nice,"

“Yup”

Prince Ace and Annalise look at each other. They move closer, and they are now inches apart, and they kissed with the fireworks in the background.
