Chapter 20: Courting

Annalise’s POV

Yesterday was something. Ace and I got trapped inside the storage room, and I admit that it's awkward. I don't know what to say and kept quiet. Suddenly, Ace talked, and I was shocked because he confessed to me that he likes me. Really? He also said that he got jealous of Harry and me.

I also confessed because I still like him. I can’t believe that Ace would like me because when he rejected me, he said that he is not interested in love.

Anyways, I am now going out to go to university. As I was heading outside, I saw a man standing, and it is Ace.

"Good morning, Ace,"

"Good morning, Anna. Let's go to university together?"

“Sure”

"I'm going to court you starting today,"

“Ok. Let’s see how Mr. not interested in love would court me,"

“Oh. I’m not Mr. Not interested in love anymore because I fell for you,"

“Uhum? Let's go,"

Ace and I went to university.

“I’ve missed this”

“You do?”

"Yup. I miss going to university with you,"

As we are near the university gate, Ace holds my hand. When we enter the gate, I saw lots of girls waiting for Ace's arrival. When they saw us enter the gate, they have these expressions on their faces, and they looked at our hands that are intertwined. I also heard girls gossiping.

"Look, they are holding hands,"

“Are they in a relationship again?”

Those are some gossips that I've heard, and I just ignored what they are gossiping about. Think whatever they think. They have to figure it out themselves. I don't want to confirm to them about us because it's pretty obvious that we are going out again, and it's real this time.

Ace and I entered the university building, and as we are heading to our classrooms, I saw students staring at us, and I feel uncomfortable. I squeezed Ace's hand.

“What’s wrong?”

"They are staring at us, and I'm not used to this kind of situation,"

"Don't mind them. They're just jealous of us,"

"Oh, it's your classroom. Go inside now,"

"No. I shall accompany you to your classroom,"

“Ok”

Ace accompanied me to my classroom. When we arrive, all eyes were on us.

"Thank you. You can go back to your room now,"

"Ok, but not until I do this,"

And Ace kissed my forehead.

"See you later,"

Ace left, and I was shocked when he did that. That's sweet of him.

“A kiss on the forehead is so sweet. Are you and Ace in a relationship?”

"Sel. No. He is courting me,"

“When will you answer him?”

"I don't know when. It's up to me when I would answer Ace,"

“Ok. I will support you. You don’t have to rush things too. Yiee, I’m so happy for you. Being courted with the popular guy in school. So lucky”

"Shut up. I don't care about Ace's status here. What's important is my feelings for him,"

"You're right, Anna,"

Fast forward, and it's already lunchtime. Ace went to our classroom to join us to eat lunch. The four of us went to the cafeteria.

"I'm glad that it's back to normal again. We are together again," James said.

"Yup. If it weren't for your plan, these would not happen," Selena said.

"I'm such a genius,"

“Let’s just eat, ok?”

“Ok”

We all ate our lunch.

Prince Ace’s POV

I am now courting Anna. That morning, I waited outside Anna’s apartment because I want us to go together to the university. When we arrive, some girls are staring at our intertwined hands and gossiped. When we are heading to our classroom, all the students are staring at us, and I just ignored them.

I accompanied Anna to her classroom, and I kissed her forehead before leaving to go to my classroom.

Classes are over, so I went to Anna’s classroom. When I arrived, she is already putting her things in her bag. I knocked on the door to catch her attention. Selena is also inside.

“Ace”

“Let’s go?”

"Ok. Wait for a minute,"

After a second later, Anna approached me.

“Let’s go?”

“Ok”

“Uhm, Sel? We’re leaving”

“Ok. Take care both of you. Ace?”

“What?”

"Take care of Anna,"

"Yes, ma'am,"

After that, Anna and I walk hand-in-hand.

“How was today?”

“It’s great. How about you?”

“Same”

Anna and I talked about random topics.

"Were here,"

"Oh, I didn't notice,"

“Hahaha. Thank you for today, Ace,"

"No problem. I am courting you anyway,"

"As a reward,"

Anna kissed me on the cheek. My heartbeat beats faster.

"See you, Ace,"

Anna waved her hand and went inside the apartment. And I went back to my condo unit.
