MasukIt was the funniest thing I had witnessed all night and I was loving every minute of it.
“Hello, Beautiful. The name’s Quintin and who do I have the pleasure of speaking with tonight?” he beamed at her as he handed her another Mai Tai that was the exact copy of what she was already drinking.
As she turned to look at him, that was when I noticed the familiarity. I knew her from somewhere but where.
A big smile spread across her face as she snorted, “You’re so sweet! Thanks so much for the free drink, handsome!”
Her hand outreached toward him as she finished introductions, “The names Sky. It's so nice to meet you! I am meeting just the nicest people in this town today. I just moved here last week, and this is my first night out on the town. Care to be my guide tonight, honey?”
Sky? The girl from the bus? What the hell was she doing here? I didn’t think it was possible to despise this guy any more than I already did but here we are again. If he knows what’s good for him, he will leave her alone. I could feel that I was a little more on edge tonight and this is so not helping the situation. We need more people like her in the world. Her optimism was so contagious and after his encounter with her tonight, that would all be gone. All because of this asshole right in front of me. I had no idea what I was going to do to stop him, but I did know that tonight I had to do something. There was a reason that I was given these powers. I just must find a way to use them to my advantage. I already had one person to worry about. I didn’t need another one.
His hands came together as he cradled her hands in both of his as he attempted to reassure her, “Of course! It would be my pleasure to show you around. However, I do have one condition.”
Curiosity flooded her face as she withdrew her hands from him and playfully considered. Sky placed her finger on her chin as if she were thinking about whether she would abide by his condition or not.
“Hmm… Well, I like to think of myself as having a great judge of character. So… Sure, I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to meet that one condition. Care to share what that is?” she questioned him.
Alec slowly leaned into her and whispered, “You’re going to have to trust me. Do you think you could do that?”
Her answering smile was all that he needed because after that she jumped off her barstool and vowed in excitement, “How could I not! For the first time in my life, I feel like I have met someone that is just like me! You and I are one of the same. Just taking one good look at you as you walked toward me, and I could tell that you have been hurt a lot in your life. Me too! Not to worry though. I won’t hurt you and tonight you and I will forget all about our past and just worry about having fun! But in return, you're going to have to do something for me too!”
The famous mischievous smile I had seen night after night had returned, “Anything, for you, gorgeous.” He promised.
Another giggle escaped her lips as she grabbed his hands and led him to the dance floor. I could tell that he was not used to girls being so overly optimistic because the look on his face as she pulled him was priceless. Most of the girls that he chose were like little lap dogs that followed his every move.
Except for that other vampire from last night. They both stopped on the dance floor as she screamed above the music, "Stop being so uptight. Let loose. Take a moment and dance with me!"
As he stood in front of her standing on the Cheshire cat's left eye. He just stood there. I watched the Cheshire’s face begin changing colors as she started dancing. It would be mean to say that she looked like a walrus begging for a fish when she danced right? Well, I didn’t say it then. I could tell that Alec was embarrassed because he started looking around, as the people dancing on either side of them paused to look at the free circus act. What? Okay, last jab at her awful dancing.
“What’s wrong?! Do you not know how to dance?” Sky hollered.
His eyes widened in shock as he tried to play it off shaking his head answering, “You caught me!”
He shrugged his shoulders as she chimed in, “That’s okay you can just copy me! I’m a self-taught dancer. The best dancer in my old town!”
Before I could stop myself, I began laughing hysterically at them bellowing loudly. This was the funniest thing I had witnessed all week and I did not want to miss a single moment of it. He began to sneer as she turned around doing some awkward circle around him. It was like she thought she was the sexiest thing in the room, but it had the opposite effect on everyone. Another snicker escaped my lips, I really liked this girl. I could see him stiffen the more that she touched him.
My smile widened, “Hey Sky? Were you sent here to torture him to death because you’re doing a hell of a job girl! Keep at it.” I teased.
His irritation had reached its peak as he pulled her to his body and wrapped his arms around her to constrain her. Not even putting up a fight she wrapped her arms around his following his lead as she swayed along to the music. It seemed that all the attention she was causing was finally starting to die down and no one was looking at them anymore. I could feel that he was still really pissed off having to deal with her and he was starting to feel impatient again which meant it was about time for him to lead her outside
When the song was finally over, he dropped his hands to his sides as he professed, “While I would love to dance with you all night beautiful. We still have the rest of the town to show to you. Are you ready to go?”
In a trance, she nodded her head and held her hand out to him. A quick roll of my eyes and we were all walking toward the service entrance. Another oblivious girl who obviously was never told by a parental to never go off alone with a stranger. Not something for you to listen to and abide by just when you're young. I guess its too late now to teach her some proper etiquette. As of right now I still have no idea how the heck I am going to get her out of this hole she keeps digging herself deeper in. This would end in no other way than a great tragedy.
If she were here to protect me, what was the harm in trusting her? After all, I had trusted Mrs. Tulle my whole life if she wanted to hurt me there were plenty of opportunities when we were alone together. Another reason was the blatant fact that I had no idea how to control or really use my powers. She on the other hand claimed she could help me get stronger which will give me the purpose I have always craved. Since as long as I can remember I had always allowed Willow to be in the spotlight while I followed quietly behind her. I could become someone powerful, someone, that can protect those that try to harm those I love. The best part was it would help me get Willow back and destroy Quintin all in one swoop. As if reading my mind, she cautioned, “
“Ding. Ding. Ding. That is correct. I am Mrs. Tulle, your 7th grade English teacher, Sky, and even your camp counselor Chelsea who helped you the first time you got you…” Sky confessed.Quickly, I cut her off and ran to cover her mouth as I screamed, “Okay, I get it! The thing that I just can’t seem to understand is why?” She grasped my hand and pulled it down to my side as she answered, “My real name is Charity Millicent and my main power is body transference which is why I can be many different people without using too much energy. Each appearance used to observe you from afar to complete
I could see that she was now growing anxious as she blurted, “What are we doing out here?” He was looking down the alley and not paying attention to her. “Don’t get me wrong. I trust you it's just I’m not that experienced so I don’t really do this kind of thing. I have never even had a boyfriend before so let's just say that I have yet to have my first kiss.” She said with nothing but embarrassment in her voice. Gosh, this girl could talk a lot. I began to tune her out

When I made it to Ellis Sanitarium, I was reminded that It was family day. I have no idea how that managed to slip my mind but here we are. A rare occurrence every month but I knew that Willow’s parents would not be coming either way. They had both called me last night on speaker before bed to ask that I go in place of them since they had to go out of town for business. If I was being honest, I knew the real reason was that they just couldn’t bear to see her like that. Since she had been hospitalized, I had not once seen them come visit her. They didn’t realize how much that affected Willow leaving her hopeful every day that one day they would make time to visit her. She doesn’t talk to me about it, but I know Willow and how close she is with her parents they tell each other abso
Saturday morning, I woke up to the sun shining in through the window. I squinted as my eyes attempted to adjust to the light as it lit up my entire bedroom. My fingers rubbed against my eyelids in another attempt to make my overwhelming sleepiness go away. The heaviness my whole body felt continued as I sat up on the edge of the bed tucking my feet into my Pink furry slippers. Taking more time than normal getting ready in the restroom I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and started getting ready for the day. It was then that I started remembering last night. I had to tell Willow what I had seen right away! Excitedly, I ran down the steps, grabbed my purse, and went to the kitchen to grab a breakfast bar from the cupboard. Once it was safely tucked in my bag, I checked the bus schedule on my phone and he
