LOGINI could see that she was now growing anxious as she blurted, “What are we doing out here?”
He was looking down the alley and not paying attention to her.
“Don’t get me wrong. I trust you it's just I’m not that experienced so I don’t really do this kind of thing. I have never even had a boyfriend before so let's just say that I have yet to have my first kiss.” She said with nothing but embarrassment in her voice.
Gosh, this girl could talk a lot. I began to tune her out and just continued watching him as I walked slowly up behind him. Still no response or reaction from him but I could feel his anger beginning to build the more she rambled on. This was not how he wanted to spend the night.
It continued growing until he exploded, “Quiet, would you! Why hell do you talk so damn much! You were supposed to be an easy catch. But now that I have you here what the hell do, I do with you now?”
As those words left his lips in one movement, he grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her against the wall. "I guess plan 2 will have to work. Can't have you talking us all to actual death." Quintin threatened.
Even though I found myself annoyed at how much she was talking I still didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. While she was stuck in some sort of faze, he took that opportunity and began leaning into her for a drink. The fire that was blazing at the beginning of the night began to ignite once again as I thought of poor Willow. My thoughts then went to Sky earlier today and how selfless she was, and I just lost it. I couldn’t control myself, it all just seemed so unreal. One minute I was standing there observing and the next I was picking up a rock from the floor and throwing it at him. The crazy thing was it worked. I made contact not only with the rock, but my aim was spot on.
If only I could rub it in my 8th-grade softball teacher’s face who told me that I wouldn’t be able to hit something even if I had a 10-foot pole.
A big, “Ha!” escaped my lips and then he had stopped what he was doing and stared right at me.
There was no denying it this time he could see me and there was no one else behind me. My eyes widened out of disbelief. How the hell did I manage to do that? What was different about tonight than any other night that I had been here? After only looking at me for a moment he turned back toward the alley and then he was gone.
I began to follow him back down the alleyway, but he was just too fast. My thought was interrupted as she whined, “Why’d you have to go and do that for?”.
Slowly, I turned back to face her. There was no way she was talking to me, right? But when her eyes met with mine, she was already walking up to me with both her arms crossed.
Her steps faltered as she stopped right in front of me, “Yes I’m talking to you, Luna Nova. I almost had him right where I wanted him, but you had to go all heroic on me and ruin my plan. It was a good one too. My acting was on point." She exclaimed.
Confusion filled my face as I questioned, “Who are you and how the heck do you know me?”
She smiled in my direction as she assured me, “I’m not a stranger. We have met many times before today. Let’s be real with one another I don’t think that is what you are really wanting to know. The real question you have just burning deep inside you is ‘how were you able to actually contact him when you have not been able to many times before?”
I stayed quiet for a moment as she praised me, “I’m glad to see that your powers are growing. Even if it’s a little slower than what was expected but I guess any progress is better than none.”
I tilted my head in response and argued, “No… I don’t think you really know what I am thinking because if you knew what I was really thinking you would not be smiling at me right now. I’m about 80 percent positive that what I was really thinking was who the hell is this crazy person and while we're at it how is it possible that she knows so much about me. I have only met you one time and you can somehow read me like a book? Cut the crap. Who are you, really?”
Her mouth was open in shock at my choice of words and immediately I felt bad for acting so harshly. She was older than me assuming by the way she spoke, and it was there in her movements. Sky’s attitude changed as she stood up straight and pointed her long-manicured nails in my direction beginning to chastise me, “Luna Nova! That was not very ladylike language that came spewing from your lips! You wait till your mother hears about this!” I dropped my arms and huffed out in frustration, “Enough of the games already just tell me. Are you chameleon that moonlights as a stalker on occasion?”
Smiling down at me she appeared to be thinking as she answered, “You could say that in a sense.”
In one motion her hand swiped at her face and the change was instant. I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed with my two eyes. Her appearance changed not only in her face, but the transformation was in her entire body. She was no longer young and beautiful. The transformation had made her become an elder who appeared to be in her eighties with silver hair braided down her back.
I opened my mouth to speak but she cut me off before I could speak again, “This is just one of many faces that I have used over the last 18 years to get to know you. Do you recognize me now?”
In utter disbelief, the only answer I could answer was another question, “Mrs. Tulle?”
With only one nod my answers were confirmed. Mrs. Tulle was magical like me and she knew way more than she led on. How is this even real right now? Am I being pranked?
If she were here to protect me, what was the harm in trusting her? After all, I had trusted Mrs. Tulle my whole life if she wanted to hurt me there were plenty of opportunities when we were alone together. Another reason was the blatant fact that I had no idea how to control or really use my powers. She on the other hand claimed she could help me get stronger which will give me the purpose I have always craved. Since as long as I can remember I had always allowed Willow to be in the spotlight while I followed quietly behind her. I could become someone powerful, someone, that can protect those that try to harm those I love. The best part was it would help me get Willow back and destroy Quintin all in one swoop. As if reading my mind, she cautioned, “
“Ding. Ding. Ding. That is correct. I am Mrs. Tulle, your 7th grade English teacher, Sky, and even your camp counselor Chelsea who helped you the first time you got you…” Sky confessed.Quickly, I cut her off and ran to cover her mouth as I screamed, “Okay, I get it! The thing that I just can’t seem to understand is why?” She grasped my hand and pulled it down to my side as she answered, “My real name is Charity Millicent and my main power is body transference which is why I can be many different people without using too much energy. Each appearance used to observe you from afar to complete

It was the funniest thing I had witnessed all night and I was loving every minute of it. “Hello, Beautiful. The name’s Quintin and who do I have the pleasure of speaking with tonight?” he beamed at her as he handed her another Mai Tai that was the exact copy of what she was already drinking. As she turned to look at him, that was when I noticed the familiarity. I knew her from somewhere but where.A big smile spread across her face as she snorted, “You’
When I made it to Ellis Sanitarium, I was reminded that It was family day. I have no idea how that managed to slip my mind but here we are. A rare occurrence every month but I knew that Willow’s parents would not be coming either way. They had both called me last night on speaker before bed to ask that I go in place of them since they had to go out of town for business. If I was being honest, I knew the real reason was that they just couldn’t bear to see her like that. Since she had been hospitalized, I had not once seen them come visit her. They didn’t realize how much that affected Willow leaving her hopeful every day that one day they would make time to visit her. She doesn’t talk to me about it, but I know Willow and how close she is with her parents they tell each other abso
Saturday morning, I woke up to the sun shining in through the window. I squinted as my eyes attempted to adjust to the light as it lit up my entire bedroom. My fingers rubbed against my eyelids in another attempt to make my overwhelming sleepiness go away. The heaviness my whole body felt continued as I sat up on the edge of the bed tucking my feet into my Pink furry slippers. Taking more time than normal getting ready in the restroom I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and started getting ready for the day. It was then that I started remembering last night. I had to tell Willow what I had seen right away! Excitedly, I ran down the steps, grabbed my purse, and went to the kitchen to grab a breakfast bar from the cupboard. Once it was safely tucked in my bag, I checked the bus schedule on my phone and he
