Chapter 22

Rosemary- 

I awoke screaming in Lucifer’s arms. Jerking uncontrollably trying to fight him thinking I was back in that warehouse. “Shhhh, it’s okay. I’m here. You’re safe. No one can hurt you now.” I laid back down while he brushed my hair back from my face. I whimpered and shook as he pulled my head to his chest holding me tightly. His warmth and steady heartbeat calmed me as I fell asleep again. Within an hour I did it again. Throughout the night we’d repeat the process over and over. 

When I awoke in the morning I took in my surroundings. We were in a tent and I could hear birds chirping outside. Lucifer was awake stroking my hair lightly. He was whispering his comforting phrase telling me I was safe and I’m going to be ok. I couldn’t speak. All night I was convulsing and talking gibberish. I was going through the phases of shock. Now I couldn’t speak and just wanted to lay here for days. I was exhausted and so I slept
