Chapter 14

King Xavier's PoV 

 Oh Satan!! The file is shared! 

I can't believe this!! How DARE she? 

 What does she think of this? It's a baby book? 

What if the file is incomplete or wrong? I've never shared any file with even one mistake in it.

"How dare you?" I speak in utter shock. 

She's unbelievable. I look at the screen one more time to see if I'm dreaming, but no. 

The file is really shared and she did it!! I place the laptop on the table, she's gone now.

"King, just have a look at it once. There's no mistak-" 

"WHO ASKED YOU TO DO IT?" I shouted by trapping her between me and the wall as she was stepping back.

"No one. But I did it because I really respect you and you are a very nice person,"

"No-no, you are not nice. You are always shouting on me and you are-" Huh!?

"Omg, what I'm saying. I just,"

 "IjustdiditcozyousavedMiranda'slife." She says in one breath. I can hear her heart is beating insanely. 

I narrow my eyes, she is really crazy. 'Adorable.'

But who told her that I saved Miranda? Not Miranda for sure, she has never told this to anyone, she doesn't trust that easily. And what did she say, I'm always shouting!? 'She's right though'

My phone buzzes. I see the screen, it's from king Edward's.

I pick up the call looking down at her. So short she is.

But I won't spare her if something goes wrong.

"King Xavier, we've received the file. King Edward will look into it and we'll update you soon." I hear from the other side of the phone.

All this time I was just hoping that the file won't be shared, but NO. 

I hung up after saying 'okay'. I put my phone back to my pocket.

"What am I gonna do with you?" I ask her but more to myself.

"I… King… at least read it first. I promise, you won't be disappointed." She speaks, her voice is shaking but she doesn't stutter. 

I don't know why, I should be angry right now but I'm not. My eyes are just glued to her pretty face. 

Did I just say her pretty!? 

Satan, what am I thinking!?

"YOU. YOU WILL BE PUNISHED IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG." I yell.

She closes her eyes promptly and opens them after a few seconds. She looks at me, her eyes are reflecting pure innocence. 

How brave she is, still got the nerve to look at me. Brave or a fool?

She blinks and only this time I notice how beautiful her brown eyes are. What the fuck am I thinking!?

Can't help, she carries a very different aura around her, lovable and cheerful. And that's absolutely annoying.

"Got it!?" I ask in a dangerously calm tone. Though I'm not any of it. 

She promptly nods in response and I let her go. 

She immediately moves away from me, which I kinda didn't like. 

She moves to my table and picks her phone up. She walks fast towards the door.

"Wait." I stop her, for no reason. 

'What's going on Xavier?'

"Where is my breakfast?" I ask her, although I can smell the hot blood. It's on the table.

"On the table." She says without looking at me and leaves. 

Did I scare her much? Okay, now I'm concerned if I scared her!? 

This girl is utterly a poison.

( **Same day evening** )

"Just tell me where your base is and I'll let you live." I speak with a dead expression on my face. I'm sick and tired of coming here again and again and these little insect-like vampires aren't opening their mouths.

"Use the knives." I order the torturers. The torturers threw the wooden sticks and picked up the knives.

I hear screams and cries as they start to torture them. Their fingers are being chopped off, their skin is peeling down slowly and deeply. They are dying here, they are in immense pain but still they aren't ready to reveal anything.

"Stop." I ordered, bored of hearing their filthy screams.

The torturer stops. How much brainwashed these artificial vampires are. But I'm not less determined to find out what I want to know.

I move out of the Dungeons and head straight to her room. 

Even after two hundred years, everything still looks like a bad dream to me. I feel like I will wake up one day with her being my side. And I'll be happy.

I haven't forgotten her smile and the way she talked. She was the little doll of mine, I protected her like my own self, like she was a part of mine.

I open the door and move to her huge portrait, her smiling face.

Sadness leaps over me. I never ever thought that she would break me like that.

"Why?" Leaves my mouth and I feel my eyes wet. 

All these humans are deceptive. They are extremely selfish and manipulative. All they crave for is power and money.

I promise, I'll torture everyone to dead who is part of that grimy shit. 

My phone rings, I pull it out from my pocket and it's from King Edward's. 

"Hello." I speak after picking it up.

"King Xavier, King Edward showed interest in your company and he said he'll send his people soon with the contract." I hear from the other side.

"Alright." I speak before hanging up.

Emma...

She is just another selfish human. I'm sure she's, too, up to something. Why in this world would a human diligently help a vampire. 

What if she's a part of that community as well?! For some reason my ghost heart frowns at this thought. 

But if it's true, I'll make her life a living hell. They can't fool me twice with the same trick. They think only they know how to play games. 

It's my turn to play.

'We're having dinner now.' I said in Miranda head.

Emma's PoV. 

"What?" I heard it at first but asked again to make sure if I heard it right.

"But it's not even seven, why so early?" 

"The dinner isn't made yet." I speak in frustration. 

What's up with that vampire, always trying to make innocent people's life hard.

What are we gonna do now? 

"Emma, they are going towards the table. We've set it but the food… it's uncooked." Maria, one of my servants, says. She looks worried and scared.

Oh my god. Why is he doing this?

Was the translated file rejected? But how? I checked it five times before sharing. 

Wait, we can do one thing…
