Chapter 7

Emma's PoV. 

( Next day )

It's eight o'clock and I just completed my workout. I woke up late today and all the credit goes to that crazy vampire. My back was hurting intolerably last night, even now I was facing difficulty while working out so I had to stop halfway. 

Anyways, it's my first day at work and I don't want to be late.

I quickly eat the breakfast that I made before and head to the bathroom with my phone. After stripping the clothes down I play my bathroom playlist and move under the shower.

I'm so excited plus slightly nervous because it's the first time I'll be managing so many people. 

Today, before my servants will go to their respective work fields, I am going to represent a speech in front of them.

I'm doing this just to increase the sense of affinity among all of us.

After showering and drying up, I wrap the towel around me and move out.

I see the time, eight past quarter. I quickly move to my cupboard and draw out a plain white shirt with black pencil skirt. This is a reminder, I have to buy more formal attire.

After putting on the clothes, I did my makeup and took my purse.

I smile at my reflection in the mirror and move down.

"I'm going, Bella." I say before moving out of the house and sitting in my car.

She still hasn't found a job for herself. 

After eight songs, I reach the Palace. I park my car just beside the Lykan Hypersport.

"I can sit here and see you all day. Will you ever date me?" I said looking at the extremely lavish thing beside me.

I wish I could drive this one day. And that would be the best day of my life.

After looking in the mirror, I step out from my car and walk towards the lift while soothing my dress out. 

As I step inside the lift, I click on the button on which '1' is engraved. 

Just as the door is almost closed, a hand roughly opens it.

I see King standing in front of me, all well suited with his usual cold expression.

He comes in as the door opens wide.

"Good morning, King." I greet him with a smile on my face.

He doesn't respond nor he looks at me. Fine, don't wish, I'll still have a good morning. 

I turn my gaze back on the lift's door and after a few seconds it opens.

King steps out and disappears and I walk to the servants' room. I see everyone is wearing their uniform and eating breakfast. 

Everyone greets me as they see me coming in. I greet them back.

After five minutes of waiting, when everyone was done eating, I cleared my throat to catch some attention.

"Before you all go to do your work, there are some things you need to know." I speak. I can do this.

"I heard from Miranda that your previous manager was not very good, but history won't repeat itself. I want you all to think of me as one of you." 

"I want you all to know that I am always there for you, to protect you from the unjust and to save you from the danger." 

"And in return I only want two things from you," 

"First, take care of each other, and second, do your work properly." I finished.

I look at them, they are looking at me and then at each other.

'Congratulations Emma, you have successfully made a fool out of yourself.' I feel invisible tomatoes thrown at me.

But they smiled and nodded and I mentally took a breath of relief.

"Now, let's get to work." I speak with a smile on my face.

The servants start to leave the room and as soon as the last one left I turn around and leave as well. As soon as I step out of the room, I spot Miranda with a tray in her hands.

"Morning, Miranda." I shout.

She stops walking and spins around, a huge grin forms on her face as she spots me.

"Good morning, Emma." She greets while walking in my direction.

"Where are you heading to?" I ask looking at the tray.

"Oh, to Royal Aliza." She says.

As per the information given to me, Royal Aliza is the second youngest child of the Royal family. Youngest is Jacob, King is the eldest and Royal Jack is after King.

I don't know about their parents, I never asked Miranda. 

"Let me do this." I said taking the tray out of her hands. Miranda told me that she's shy but kind and brave.

"Okay, then I'll go to the kitchen." She speaks before leaving.

Royal Aliza's room is just a few rooms away from the servants' one.

I walk to her room and place a knock at the door.

"Come in." I hear a girly voice.

I open the door and see a woman in her early twenties, sitting on the bed and reading a book. 

I walk to her.

"Here's your breakfast, Royal Aliza." I say as I place the tray on the table attached to the bed and turn to her.

"Thank you." She says looking at me with a smile on her face. She's beautiful. 

"I see you're the new Manager." She states as she closes the book, takes the tray and places it on the bed.

"Yes." I reply and she nods in response. 

I turn around to leave and walk towards the door. As I step outside the room, an invisible force pushes me to the ground. I hiss in pain. 

These stupid vampires will definitely break my butt someday.

"Can't you walk properly, human?" I hear the same deep masculine cold voice. 

I stand up from the ground slapping my butt to remove off the dirt, if there's any.

I look above to see him already looking at me. 

"And can't you see properly, King?" I reply, emphasizing more on the word king.

I see his face becomes ten times stiffer. He looks at me in rage but disappears the other second. 

"First make mistakes then throw blames on others." I whispered underneath while smoothing out my dress.

I hear laughter behind me. 

I turn around to see Aliza laughing, she is looking in my direction. 

"You are different, Emma." She speaks within her laughs. I smile at her before leaving.

"Yup, so far the day is fine." I replied to Bella.

"How about the servants? Do they like you?" She asks.

"I don't know, maybe they do." I speak as I walk through the corridors of the second floor. This floor is more silent than the first one.

"And what about Kin-"

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!??" I heard an unfamiliar male voice which almost made my body jolt.

"He-y, what was that?" Bella asks.
