Realization Hits Hard

''That you are a witch.'' the girl said, pointing at her.

''I am what?'' she asked in a whisper, her heart was beating too fast now, and her head was spinning, it had to be a nightmare, she thought.

''You are a witch dumb.'' the other girl said.

''No, am not, that's got to be a mistake. I am just a normal human being, I know nothing about magic.'' she said again, she felt herself crying. One of them rolled her eyes.

''Listen, it's not our fault, that your parents never told you about this but, you have to keep up now, with whatever's going on.'' the girl with brown hair, tied into a ponytail said.

''But what would I do here, am scared of witches.'' she said, and the girl rolled her eyes again, she felt like crying.

''Here take this book, read it and you'll get everything, and I feel sleepy, am gonna head to my room.'' The girl said and both of them left. she looked up and an old guy said, ''Into your rooms, before eleven.'' she noticed no one else was in there anymore, so got up to leave.

''I don't know where to go.'' she said reaching the man, he asked her to follow him, and she did, he lead her to a stairwell, a huge stairwell, with so many stairs, and staircases, after they had reached the third floor, he opened the door, and asked her to go in, she did, the slip was in her hand. When she entered, the hall, room? or corridor? whatever it was, it was warm, and quiet, there were too many doors.

I looked at the slip in my hand, ''Red 1209'' was written on it she looked up, on the doors, on the left side of the corridor was written red, along with numbers, and on the right side was blue. she started walking, the numbers started with 1000, and she walked almost for more than twenty minutes, to get to the 1209, she stood in front of the door and thought if she should knock or not, she knocked, no answer, would she have a room mate? she thought, and opened the door slowly, the room was small, not very big, two bunk beds, a table, a wardrobe on the side, and if they had settled on taking even a chair in, that would not fit.

On the bed towards the window, someone was laying, the sheets covered her face, of course she was a girl, she had heard of co-ed hostels, never co-ed rooms. She walked in slowly and sat on the other bed, the whole day was pressed in her brain, and her head was hurting now, she started crying again, clasped her hand on her mouth, so that she won't make much noise. She threw the book away, it fell with a thud.

''What happened?'' she heard a shrill voice behind her, she sobbed, the girl on the other bed, got up and walked to her, she sat behind Scarlet, and placed her hand on her shoulder, she turned towards her and hugged her and then the fear that she might be a witch came in her mind and she moved away, looking horrified.

''What happened?'' she asked again, raising her eyebrows, she had the same eyes as Scarlet but she had golden flecks in them.

''Are you a witch?'' she blurted out, and the other girl started laughing.

''Is that your way of asking, how 'am doing?'' Scarlet didn't budge.

''No am not a witch, am a wolfblood.'' she replied, she seemed kind of tired, but Scarlet, she couldn't help it.

''What's wolfblood?'' she asked raising her eyebrows.

''You actually don't know anything?'' she asked and Scarlet nodded.

''Your parents never told you? And you never thought why you had violet colored eyes with gray flecks, and why your hair grew wild?'' she asked, and Scarlet shook her head again, she sighed.

''Okay, so listen, It's a school, a school not just for witches, like you, but for al supernatural creatures.''

''All supernatural creatures?'' Scarlet said, her eyes widening, she nodded.

''Like Witchblood, Wolfblood, Vampblood, Enachanters, Giants, Dragontrainers, Waterblood and Fireblood, these are all clans.''

Scarlet felt like she could pass out any minute. ''Is it safe to put all of this supernatural creatures, in one building?'' She asked the girl. And she laughed.

''Of course it is, we're not wild, we're civilized creatures.'' she felt sleepy, she rubbed her eyes, and said, ''Now sleep, you can get more information tomorrow, we've to get up early tomorrow, for the oath ceremony, by the way, it's Eleanor.''

''Scarlet.'' she said and shook her hand, they both laid in their beds, and Scarlet slept too, she was tired.

The next morning when Eleanor woke her up, she prayed to God before opening her eyes, that she was having a bad dream, but no luck, because she was still in that room, Eleanor was wearing a dress, a pink lacy dress.

''Come on get up, and get ready for the ceremony.'' she said, while she was doing her hair.

''But my stuff, my clothes..'' she was saying and Eleanor pointed her finger to the wardrobe, she got up and walked to it, and her clothes were actually there, neatly sitting there, like they were at her home, she felt homesick.

''But I don't have a dress.'' she said to Eleanor again.

''You won't need one, you're the freshman you'll wear uniform.'' she said, smiling, they were in a prison and she could still smile, Scarlet thought, she looked really pretty in her dress, the color made her skin glow.

''And where's uniform. ''she asked her and she pointed at the door, they had a washroom, she rushed in, got her toiletry bag from the wardrobe first, and took a shower, she felt kind of betrayed, it was hard to believe but still if her mother had told her earlier, she won't have to face this much.

The uniform was cool, a mini skirt, (really mini skirt no offense), with a white dress shirt, the skirt was gray, and a tie, with strips of white and gray, the monogram printed on it, ''Sacred Legacy'' written on it, and there was a cloak too, she wore her uniform, she wondered how could they know her size.

When she got out, Eleanor was fully dressed, she combed her hair, and tied it into a high pony, that's what she always did, seriously why had she never thought of her hair. She applied her makeup, all usual, her lip tint, mascara, and a little blush, she loved it.

''You look pretty.'' she said to Eleanor and she smiled.

''Ready to go?'' Eleanor asked standing up.

''Yes.'' she said, No she thought.
