They are all eating now and awkwardness can be felt from each other.

"Uhm... I'm sorry again to both of you."

Sergio Von Croy breaks the silence.

"I'm fine, I'm not the one who passed out from your blow."

Liu Kai stated and smiled at Jin Chow.

Jin Chow's eyebrows twitched as he looks at Liu Kai.

"Hey, watch your mouth?"

Jin Chow yelled at Liu Kai.

'Since when did this innocent-looking guy became a bully?'

Jin Chow thought himself.

"Oh yeah, are you gonna do something about it?"

Liu Kai playfully mocking Jin Chow.

"Hahahaha you're very close to each other."

Sergio Von Croy cut them off.

"No, we're not."

Liu Kai and Jin Chow both answered.

But in reality, they became close in the last few days. That's thanks to the situation they are in.

"Really? You look like brothers to me."

Sergio Von Croy stated.

Liu Kai and Jin Chow looks at each other and look again in the opposite direction.

Sergio Von Croy smiled and felt happy to meet humans again.

"But why did you attack us?"

Jin Chow asked.

"About that, I actually adapted to this place after almost 6 months of staying here so I knew that someone entered this place. I hide myself to check and I found the two of you wandering around here. I saw you, Jin Chow, with your armor from the Monarchy and I felt so mad about it."

Sergio Von Croy stated.

"Why are you mad about it?"

Jin Chow confusedly asked.

"Because I can't move to the east by myself and waited here for 6 months for reinforcement but no one came. Then I'm gonna see a single knight after 6 months of waiting for the reinforcement. And about Liu Kai, I can hardly feel his presence because it's so weak. How can you conceal your strength?"

Sergio Von Croy explained frustratedly.

"I'll explain that later, but why did you stay here? Can you just go back and tell the Monarchy what happened?"

Liu Kai asked.

"They won't let me live if I go back from my mission without gaining anything. That's why I forced my squad to continue."

Sergio Von Croy answered.

"That's not 100% true, they actually sent the Third Squad 3 months ahead of our squad but I don't know what happened to them."

Jin Chow stated.

"Yeah that would make sense, the First Squad is also ahead of us by 3 months and no one knows what happened on the First Squad. I am also expecting the next squad to be 3 months delayed but I guess something bad happened to them. So we're really doomed now since we're the only knights to survive."

Sergio Von Croy added.

"This guy is just a Knight Apprentice, just to correct your statement."

Liu Kai said.

"Oh yeah, they are really out of their minds to send a Knight Apprentice to this kind of mission."

Sergio Von Croy said.

"The Monarchy is too scared that another human territory might get conquer by other species that's why they are sending limited people to investigate and with their strongest people are guarding the Monarchy."

Sergio Von Croy added.

"I knew it was flawed from the beginning that's why I would like to raise my rank to be more influential in the Monarchy."

Sergio Von Croy felt his hope crashing down.

"Since when did the Monarchy became so heartless?"

Liu Kai asked.

"Where are you all this time?"

Sergio Von Croy asked confusingly.

"Believe me or not but I just woke up from a powerful nap."

Liu Kai answered.

"What do you mean by a powerful nap?"

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"He's in a coma for the past 2 years and just woke up a few days ago."

Jin Chow explained.

"Ohhh."

That's all Sergio Von Croy said after hearing it. It didn't make sense for him but maybe someone is just gifted with a powerful skill even in a coma.

"Why did you join the mission? That's forbidden if you don't have authority."

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"That's correct, we have a criminal with us right now."

Jin Chow said while laughing.

"Shut up."

Liu Kai said to Jin Chow. "I woke up from an underground dungeon inside a forest, okay?"

Liu Kai frowned.

They all went silent after that.

"About this place, why are my senses dulled?"

Jin Chow asked.

"I don't know the exact reason, but I think that the S-Rated Bugs around here have something to do about it. The first time that I got here, I can hardly breathe."

Sergio Von Croy answered.

"But don't worry you will adapt after some time."

Sergio Von Croy added.

"Wait, I still don't understand what's going on with the Monarchy."

Liu Kai cut them off.

"The Monarchy became so strict and cruel to their people this past 2 years, they are training a lot of Knight and plans to eradicate all of the other races here in the Seventh Domain."

Jin Chow said.

"We are at war with the Giant Bugs, Goblins, and Dwarves so that would make sense but still, for them not to accept a failure can hurt survivors of the missions."

Sergio Von Croy added to Jin Chow's answer.

"I see, and by the way, I almost forgot about Goblins and Dwarves. What are they look like?"

Liu Kai asked.

"I haven't seen one yet but based on the reports they are smaller than humans but more powerful."

Sergio Von Croy answered.

"I thought there are slimes too."

Liu Kai looks at Jin Chow and asked.

"Yes, but they are harmless and no one knows their purpose."

Jin Chow answered.

"Is anyone here has an idea where dis this species came from?"

Liu Kai asked.

Jin Chow and Sergio Von Croy both shake their head.

"I saw bugs before in the forest, not the giants but the little ones. Did not all of them evolve?"

Liu Kai asked.

"Maybe not yet? or .... I really don't know."

Jin Chow said.

"I see, what do you usually eat here?"

Liu Kai switched his gaze to Sergio Von Croy.

"Mostly Giant Mosquito's Larvae, if Giant Bugs tastes similar to crustaceans then this Giant Larva tastes like beef. The differences are the giant bugs are healthier and so much tastier than crustaceans and beef."

Sergio Von Croy answered.

'That's right, at first, it was disgusting but once you taste it you will surely like it because it's tastier than ordinary human foods.'

'Bugs are scary creatures, some can lift 2000 times of their weight, some can move in just tenths of a second, some can produce boiling liquid, some can get energy directly to the sun, some can be super tough, some can jump more than 100 times their body length, and some have webs stronger than the hardest steel.'

'That's why when they are enlarged to human size or larger than human size, they are so scary. Even with abilities, you will die helplessly on their hands.'

Liu Kai thought to himself.

"What's the rate of Mosquitoes?"

Liu Kai asked.

"Giant Female Mosquitoes are S-Rated, but Giant Male Mosquitoes are herbivore and most of the Mosquitoes here are male so you can hunt them without taking a risk."

Sergio Von Croy explained.

"I see."

Liu Kai said.

"Can I ask now how can you conceal your strength?"

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"I'm not concealing it, I'm really weak compare to you but my skill can give me strength whenever I got hurt."

Liu Kai answered.

"Ohhh I see, that's why you cut your wrist before right?"

Sergio Von Croy said.

"Yes, to rush the process."

Liu Kai answered.

"I was surprised when I saw that, I didn't imagine someone to have a skill like yours."

Sergio Von Croy said.

"But how about the injury that you inflict to yourself?"

Sergio Von Croy continues to ask.

'Right, I didn't think about that before. On my battle with the Giant Wasp, I don't remember any injuries after even if I received a lot during the battle.'

'This system didn't say anything about that. Is the system flawed or its hiding some information from me?"

Liu Kai checks his wrist while thinking and found no scar on his wrist.

"I somehow healed after the skill wears off, I think."

Liu Kai answered.

Sergio Von Croy stated.

"How about you?"

Sergio Von Croy asked Jin Chow.

Jin Chow answered.

"Is that why you tried to stop me by receiving my attack head-on?"

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"Yes, but I saw that it is a human so I didn't activate on time since I was surprised that there's a human that has that kind of destructive prowess."

Jin Chow explained.

Sergio Von Croy just agreed and gets flattered on the statement.

"Sergio Von Croy, you stayed here for a long time, did you try to go outside of Fang Shi after a while?"

Liu Kai asked.

"Yes, sometimes I'm hunting weaker bugs outside for food."

Sergio Von Croy answered.

"How did you feel?"

Liu Kai asked.

"I'm sorry, I don't understand your question."

"Did you feel that you're stronger especially your perception?"

Liu Kai clarified his question.

"Oh, I know what you're trying to ask now. Yes, after I stayed here inside of Fang Shi for a long time, I felt more powerful when I'm outside of Fang Shi especially my perception."

Sergio Von Croy explained.

"Can you see this?"

Liu Kai pointed to the status window in front of him.

Sergio looks at the direction where Liu Kai pointed his finger but didn't see anything.

"What is it?"

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"Oh nothing, just forget about it."

Liu Kai stated.

'Even Sergio doesn't have this game-like system despite being so strong.'

'I guess he strengthens himself by staying here and eating Giant Bugs instead of ordinary food without knowing that it can make him stronger.'

'There's no way he can get this strong with just human training after all. I don't know the full power of Sergio Von Croy yet but the glimpse of it is stronger than what I expected already.'

'I need to know about what's this system and find that old man but I need first to get stronger.'

Liu Kai thought to himself.

They are now done eating and prepares to rest.

Liu Kai asked.

"Just a week ago, why?"

Jin Chow answered and asked.

"So I assume that the Seventh Domain's Monarchy will send another Squad after 2 months based on the 3 months interval of every Squad so far. What do you think?"

Liu Kai asked.

"No, we're the last Squad and if after 3 months no one came back to send a report about the investigation, the Monarchy will use their full force to claim all of the territories."

Jin Chow asked.

'I see, I can use the Monarchy to get some help and reclaim my country from other species.'

'But I don't know what will happen to these two if we wait for the Monarchy to act.'

'But I might fail my quest too if Jin Chow failed.'

Liu Kai thought to himself

"Why did you ask? You're thinking of waiting for the Monarchy to act so you can reclaim your country, aren't you?"

Jin Chow asked Liu Kai.

'I didn't know that Jin Chow is so quick about this but....'

"No, I said I'm gonna help you with your mission so I won't wait for the Monarchy."

Liu Kai stated.

"But how are we gonna do that? I stayed here for more than 6 months and that's an impossible task for 2 months and a half."

Sergio Von Croy asked.

"Can you train the two of us for a month before we try to continue our investigation?"

Jin Chow stated.

'That's good thinking, I want to strengthen myself too while I'm on this quest.'

Sergio Von Croy stopped for a moment.

"But that wouldn't help at all."

Sergio Von Croy stated.

"What we need is to investigate up until Sheng Chan and return to the Monarchy within 2 months."

Sergio Von Croy added.

"Let's reduced the training for a week or two, then let's continue the mission since we don't have a lot of time."

Liu Kai suggests.

Everyone agreed to Liu Kai's Suggestion.

The three of them went inside on the abandoned building where they fought this morning to rest for the night.
