LOGINNatalie didn’t know what to do with herself once she left Amber. It broke her heart that she still had to be caught between her dead ex wife and herself to meet Amber’s attention. Natalie pulled the car off to an empty lot and cried her eyes out, also slamming her hands against the steering wheel, she hated everything at this point and wished she could fix it all with Amber. Natalie decided to turn the car around and head back since she wasn’t far at all, punishing Amber for holding onto Sarah is a bad thing since their love is much more stronger than a ring. Sadly once she got into the driveway she saw a car that didn’t belong there and Natalie’s fears crept up into her throat. After delaying thoughts of going inside Natalie grabbed her purse then made her way inside, that is when she walked in on Amber to find this woman all over her.
“What the fuck is going on here?” Natalie said.
“Nothing, darlin’. Journey actually is leaving.” Amber replied.
“Don’t call me that. If you are going to cheat on me at least have the density to call for a break up because this is bullshit that I came here to be with you from New York and you bring some new chick into our home.” Natalie responded fighting tears.
“Natalie it isn’t like that at all. Journey is a good friend of mine from school. Sheila can verify that.” Amber pleaded in an attempt to keep Natalie calm.
“I don’t need Sheila to verify everything that goes on with these friends of yours. Is it because this woman is more beautiful than I am or something? She must have more beauty than I do for you to call her when I am only down the road crying over what you did.” Natalie responded in fury of anger.
“You were friends with Dana before coming here, what makes Journey any different?” Amber responded placing her arms over her breasts in defense.
Natalie gulped before she could backfire on more words. Journey is beautiful long black wavy hair, a bit bigger than Amber, hazel eyes, and perfect pearly whites with her smile. She wore a black hoodie, blue jeans that were tight, and tennis shoes. Natalie felt like her eyes were wandering too far while Amber gave looks that could kill.
“You are right. I am sorry, I will go out to the porch until you two are done talking or whatever. Journey it is a pleasure to meet you.” Natalie replied as she walked out the door.
Natalie felt her whole world change by witnessing a jealous fit over some woman being friends with Amber. Granted, they were only girlfriends but Natalie felt her world slipping as she watched Journey come out with Amber.
“Don’t bother coming in. Journey is staying here with me until we figure this out. I am keeping Sarah’s ring on and if you don’t like it then go back to your ex or find someone new. You knew my struggles of getting over her and now you lash out because I still love her. Natalie, I love you but I don’t love you accusing me of things, I didn’t do or how I feel about Sarah.” Amber said as she squeezed Journey’s hand.
Natalie felt herself breaking. She couldn’t breath and felt her world closing in as Amber literally shredded her heart in half like it was nothing. Natalie grabbed her purse then bolted to her car, she couldn’t take this heartbreak that Amber had caused. All she wanted is to be loved after what her ex did and now she is paying for it by Amber staying with Journey. Natalie went through her purse finding her cell phone to get a hold of Sheila or Dana, she needed someone, anyone. After three rings someone finally answered on that end.
“Hello.” Someone said through a sleepy yawn.
“Dana or Sheila?” Natalie asked.
“Sheila, do you know what time it is?” Sheila replied with another yawn.
“No, but do you know anything about some woman named Journey?” Natalie asked with tears still streaming.
“Amber’s high school sweetheart, why?” Sheila asked, holding back a yawn.
“I thought that was Sarah?” Natalie asked in return.
“Journey and Amber dated all the way until Sarah got between them, is there something going on?” Sheila asked, alarmed.
“Journey is here and I blew up at Amber for having that wedding ring on after I tried to get the idea of marriage for me and Amber.” Natalie responded.
Natalie waited for any response from Sheila though it seemed their wasn’t going to be an answer since this left her clueless on how to handle this situation.
“Natalie, I am unfortunately unable to help you. Journey is a good woman and so are you. You both might share Amber until she knows where her heart stands.” Sheila replied.
“Thank you. Looks like I am off to find my own happiness once more.” Natalie responded.
Natalie heard Sheila hang up the phone as she sat their in the driveway watching Journey smile at her eyes caught something or someone in the back of the house. Natalie shook her head as she looked again and it disappeared. Natalie didn’t want to leave the property, she wanted to stay here and be with Amber not leave her side. Natalie turned on her car and looked at the gas tank seeing that she had enough to go find a hotel for the night as her gut turned leaving the home she has been at for a year. Driving down the road with the window’s down and her hand out the window, Natalie breathed fresh air but her lungs felt like they were closing as her memories flooded of Amber and how much they loved each other. Arriving two hours from Amber’s place, she found a hotel off the highway that looked run down but she deserved to be reserved in such a place. Natalie stood outside of her car with heavy sighs knowing that being alone is that last thing that she wanted to be in this predicament.
I couldn’t believe Natalie left. Journey surprisingly came into the driveway it felt like High School all over again. This didn’t feel right having Journey show up unannounced not that I have been near the phone lately with Sheila gone and now Natalie too. Journey Harper has always been full of life even when we dated back in High School until Sarah destroyed it to have me. It took me several years to get over the fact that Sarah had ruined my love life but she ended up being all I had left.“Hey Amber, it is so good to see you. Where is your new woman? Everybody in town is talki
Somehow or another the driving didn’t phase Amber making their way back as Natalie thought it would but once they arrived at their home it looked untouched but then you could see clothes on the lot and priceless items that shouldn’t be there. Natalie didn’t understand what Sarah could be doing by taking out everything that Amber has owned for years. Natalie watched as Amber stormed up to the house as Natalie followed behind her as quickly as she could.“Sarah! Get out of my house!” Amber yelled as loud as she could.
Natalie headed inside to the hotel, made her way to the front desk and made her room arrangements. It took thirty minutes to find her room then getting her bags as she settled for the night. Natalie couldn’t believe that she is left alone in her world with no kids, no man or woman, now lonely as tears flowed down her eyes. Natalie slowly drifted off to sleep on the bed that is only for her as she heard pounding on her door, it startled her completely since she wasn’t expecting anyone, and as she slowly went to look through the peephole she noticed it wasn’t a joke that Sarah Starr is still alive and pissed off.
Natalie didn’t know what to do with herself once she left Amber. It broke her heart that she still had to be caught between her dead ex wife and herself to meet Amber’s attention. Natalie pulled the car off to an empty lot and cried her eyes out, also slamming her hands against the steering wheel, she hated everything at this point and wished she could fix it all with Amber. We had finally reached our destination in the middle of the night, a desert like area but you can see the stars and much more of the horizon. I couldn’t believe how Natalie had found this place with driving to wherever they may be. I climbed out of the car the same time Natalie did as we met in front of the car then leaned against the hood.“This is my dream when being out here. I love where home is too that we can see the stars but this is amazing for the middle of nowhere for miles on end.” Natalie whispered.
That next morning, I woke up extremely early to make breakfast for both ladies and made sure to have juice, coffee, sweet tea, and water ready at the table along with toast, creamer, sugar, and grape jelly. I couldn’t contain my excitement on making Natalie and Sheila feel happy for once without being judgemental on my case. As soon as I saw Sheila though that certain look where she is disappointed made me feel the same. Sheila also had her luggage ready by the door.“Dana, will be here in a couple of hours and we are going to the new house. I don’t expect you to show up and put
