Personally though I didn’t know Natalie as a person all I saw is a gorgeous city woman with shoulder length red hair, bright green eyes, and freckles across her olive skin. I couldn’t help but melt every time I saw her though I didn’t feel beautiful myself compared to her. I have beautiful long waves of blonde hair, dark blue eyes, and caucasian skin. I feel big compared to her even though she is rail thin, beautiful and I am plump, big and feel fat for a country woman. I have always felt big but this made me feel self conscious around her.
Sheila left when I told her which left me alone with Natalie in my big two story house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. I used to have a big family but they all went their own way and never returned to our home but as the trust worthy simply, I took over for my parents and made everything to my comfort. I did keep my parents original stuff but took the stuff that didn’t need to be out or have my siblings take. A two story white house for a lonely woman you wouldn’t think would need much though it is home to keep things in my heart.
Once I got inside after putting the horses away, I didn’t bother finding Natalie then kept to myself as I worked around the house to keep everything in line as always. As hours passed Natalie finally came downstairs to reveal that her make-up had smudged and her eyes were sleepy from abrupt sleep that kept her upstairs most of the day.
“I thought you would still be outside.” Natalie said with a yawn.
“No, I wouldn’t leave you in this big house by yourself.” I replied smiling.
I couldn’t help adoring her messy hair, make-up a mess, and her way of being groggy.
“This house is so huge I can imagine getting lost in this place. I hope you don’t mind but I am hungry and thirsty, I didn’t realize how hot this place is.” Natalie responded by turning bright red.
“I will make us both something to eat, how does sandwiches and sweet tea sound for lunch?” I replied with a bit of nervousness in my voice.
“I am on a diet, do you have anything with less calories?” Natalie asked.
“What? Why would you ever be on a diet?” I asked stunned to hear that.
“I am fat, look at my stomach I have meat where it shouldn’t be. You look...stunning for a big woman but I can’t imagine being that big for myself.” Natalie responded by pinching her stomach to show her non-existent fat.
“Where in the world did you get you’re fat? I am big build because I work in the yard and build muscle but I am also big due to family genes. Natalie, you are thin and gorgeous. I am going to make us both salads minus the dressing.” I replied, getting up from the couch and making us both salads.
I felt like we were both going to break down and cry because we couldn’t handle our own bodies also how much we were hating our assigned bodies. I couldn’t imagine who would tell Natalie, she is fat when she is so thin and beautiful that I would think she is a model. I made our salads without a fess, grabbed two glasses and filled them with water as my mind was debating whether to dump my sweet tea later for the sake of Natalie.
“Amber, are you okay?” Natalie asked.
“Yes, I am fine.” I replied.
Grabbing everything together setting our salads and drinks in front of us as I quickly rushed to grab our forks. I felt Natalie’s eyes on me like she wanted to say more but didn’t. We sat in silence eating not daring to speak anymore of our bodies that we both hate so much. I finished my salad and water within a few minutes then waited on Natalie who barely ate a single bite.
“Natalie, is there something wrong with the salad?” I asked diligently.
“No, nothing wrong with it. I don’t know what is wrong with me. You think I am this beautiful, gorgeous lady whom you just met and I feel so fat and worthless.” Natalie replied wiping a tear away.
I got up from my seat then walked over to her, pulling her into a tight hug around me that I admit turned me on but wasn’t the place to do when we both needed comfort and the best way I know is to hug her. Natalie let me go within a few minutes then looked me in the eyes with sincerity that I had to back away before I really did something she wouldn’t approve of. As I went back to my chair and she sat down to eat again, Natalie progressed slowly of herself allowing some different foods to be in her system though she never gained an ounce as much as she ate. After a few days Natalie definitely improved on being around me though we weren’t close like me and Sheila their was a spark that would be hard to resist for too long but I needed to wait it out for Natalie’s sake.
I couldn’t believe Natalie left. Journey surprisingly came into the driveway it felt like High School all over again. This didn’t feel right having Journey show up unannounced not that I have been near the phone lately with Sheila gone and now Natalie too. Journey Harper has always been full of life even when we dated back in High School until Sarah destroyed it to have me. It took me several years to get over the fact that Sarah had ruined my love life but she ended up being all I had left.“Hey Amber, it is so good to see you. Where is your new woman? Everybody in town is talki
Somehow or another the driving didn’t phase Amber making their way back as Natalie thought it would but once they arrived at their home it looked untouched but then you could see clothes on the lot and priceless items that shouldn’t be there. Natalie didn’t understand what Sarah could be doing by taking out everything that Amber has owned for years. Natalie watched as Amber stormed up to the house as Natalie followed behind her as quickly as she could.“Sarah! Get out of my house!” Amber yelled as loud as she could.
Natalie headed inside to the hotel, made her way to the front desk and made her room arrangements. It took thirty minutes to find her room then getting her bags as she settled for the night. Natalie couldn’t believe that she is left alone in her world with no kids, no man or woman, now lonely as tears flowed down her eyes. Natalie slowly drifted off to sleep on the bed that is only for her as she heard pounding on her door, it startled her completely since she wasn’t expecting anyone, and as she slowly went to look through the peephole she noticed it wasn’t a joke that Sarah Starr is still alive and pissed off.
Natalie didn’t know what to do with herself once she left Amber. It broke her heart that she still had to be caught between her dead ex wife and herself to meet Amber’s attention. Natalie pulled the car off to an empty lot and cried her eyes out, also slamming her hands against the steering wheel, she hated everything at this point and wished she could fix it all with Amber. Natalie decided to turn the car around and head back since she wasn’t far at all, punishing Amber for holding onto Sarah is a bad thing since their love is much more stronger than a ring. Sadly once she got into the driveway she saw a car that didn’t belong there and Natalie’s fears crept up into her throat. After delaying thoughts of going inside Natalie grabbed her purse then made her way in
We had finally reached our destination in the middle of the night, a desert like area but you can see the stars and much more of the horizon. I couldn’t believe how Natalie had found this place with driving to wherever they may be. I climbed out of the car the same time Natalie did as we met in front of the car then leaned against the hood.“This is my dream when being out here. I love where home is too that we can see the stars but this is amazing for the middle of nowhere for miles on end.” Natalie whispered.
That next morning, I woke up extremely early to make breakfast for both ladies and made sure to have juice, coffee, sweet tea, and water ready at the table along with toast, creamer, sugar, and grape jelly. I couldn’t contain my excitement on making Natalie and Sheila feel happy for once without being judgemental on my case. As soon as I saw Sheila though that certain look where she is disappointed made me feel the same. Sheila also had her luggage ready by the door.“Dana, will be here in a couple of hours and we are going to the new house. I don’t expect you to show up and put
