it's a misunderstanding

Amelia's Pov

It was Federico.

Peanut butter and pickles!! Was I just staring at him.

"Umm... Hey, Is there anything I can do for you?" I said stuttering looking down at the floor.

" No not really, I was just wondering why you were all over me." He said casually as he folded his arms.

My head immediately bounced up, " excuse me?" I asked completely confused.

He looked at me in an even more confused expression and said, " Were you not just drooling over my football Pic? "

I looked at the football poster then I looked at Federico in the poster, and then it hit me. Federico's head was on the top right corner of the poster, just beneath the dance poster. When I stretched to see what was written on the dance poster, my face may have been directly infront of Federico's
face making it look like I was doing something else.

This is so embarrassing.

"Ohh, no..., I was not doing that, I was just - " I said stuttering, but then he cut me off.

"Then why are you drooling?" He said, smirking slightly , pointing to my lips.

I raised my hand to my lips, and the reality is that there was saliva beneath my lips. It was probably from struggling to see the dance poster. I have this tendency of drooling when I am struggling with something. I wiped the saliva off with the back of my head.

Ohh No. This is really bad.

What does he think of me now? If I were him, I  totally would have thought that I was drooling over me.

"No... no it's really not what it looks like, I was just trying to get to the dance poster but then my head couldn't reach it so I... " I said, trying desperately to convince him. I didn't want him to get the wrong idea.

He smiled and placed his firm hand on my shoulder before saying, " It's okay, I do look good in that picture. I'm just saying that I don't think it's a good idea for you to go all crazy about my picture in public."

From this statement I could tell that he did not believe anything I was saying, then secondly he has a huge EGO. Why would he think that I, from all the other girls in the school would drool over him, it was probably his first time seeing me, ever.

" No, you are misunderstanding the situation, I was just trying to get to the poster but then l couldn't see it clearly, so I had to step on my tip toes, but I was struggling so I started drooling..." 
he just stood there, leaning on the wall, smiling, watching me helplessly try to explain myself. I was still explaining myself when somebody, possibly a friend of his called him.

" I've gotta go, see ya" he said before walking to his friend.

That was so embarrassing. I felt so humiliated even though I don't think anybody else heard us. My first conversation with the most popular guy in school turned out to be the worst. I slammed my palm against my forehead, closed my eyes and whispered shout in sheer embarrassment 'Ohh Amelia.'

Just almost immediately I felt someone touch my shoulder, I jolted then spun around to see non other than Kylie (the leader of the GGGs and apparently the most prettiest girl in the school) and her two best friends, Emma and Brittney standing right in front of me.

"So hey, Ana...Anell-Ahila" Kylie stuttered snapping her fingers in the air and squinting her eyes trying to recall my name.

Belle is in the cheer-leading squad  that Kylie, Emma and Britney also, obviously happen to been in. On some  occasions when I'm really tired and can't walk home, I wait for Belle until she's done with practice so she can drop me home. Belle being the friendly, fun and socialist person that she is has  introduced me to all her cheer-leading members. But for one reason or the other the GGGs always forget my name. Maybe it's because their heads are filled with glitter, makeup and boys.

Emma, the blonde haired GGG to the right of Kylie interrupted her and said, "Kyls, just call her oogly glasses," she shifted her attention to me and asked, "l hope you don't mind"

I heard her friends giggle but I just turned my face to her and said in a gentle tone, "My name is Amelia."

" Amelia, " Kylie said In thought. "That name is probably going to slip off my tongue so I'll just stick to glasses for now. So um..." She looked at the direction Federico had walked in, then looked at me, the football poster then back at me again. She definitely saw me and Federico talking."... what were you trying to reach? "

Kylie had a huge crush on Federico and so did almost all the girls in the school) but unlike them she was the most popular girl in the school so had to be with the most popular boy in the school. She believes that her and Federico are meant to be together and so cannot stand the sight of him with another girl.

But she didn't need to worry about me, that was probably the the first and last time I would ever speak to him. I know I don't like her but her and I are completely incomparable, in terms of beauty that is.

"Ohh, Umm... I was trying to reach the dance flyer." I said in an unstable voice.

She looked at her friends and then looked back at me smiling. "Ohh darling, instead of struggling you should have just come to me, I'm in charge of the club. So do you wanna join?"

"I just wanted to find out more about it, but I...would love to join" I replied in  chirpy.

I didn't really like the idea of Kylie being in charge of the dance class, but she was just being nice to me and
asked me if I wanted to join, in a caring tone, so I just had to give in. Besides I don't think there is any harm in being a part of the dance club.

"Well, that's great but first you would have to audition on Friday. I'm sure you will be amazing, you look like a natural dancer"

"Umm thank you. I'll be at the auditions."

"Cool, bye" She gave me a huge smile and waved at me before turning to leave with her friends.

Kylie was just being nice to me, I have a chance of being in the dance club, maybe Kylie and I could actually be friends. Unlike the embarrassing moment l had with Federico, the conversation I had with Kylie put me in a good mood.

"Bye" I replied before turning to go to the cafeteria.

The rest of day was normal, we didn't get too much homework because it was the first day of school. When school was over for the day, Belle and I went to my house since she didn't have any practice today.

Freddy's Pov

I had just finished talking to coach and was walking down the hall, when something caught my eye. It seemed that a girl was kissing me in the green claws football picture.

I knew girls in this school could do crazy stuff, but what that girl was doing looked really weird on a whole different level. I walked over to her. Right in front of me stood a girl with tofee-caramel colored hair with glasses that covered her deep brown hazel eyes. From the way she looked at me, I could tell she was nervous.

"No not really, I was just wondering why you were all over me?"

She immediately looked up from looking on the floor and furrowed her eyebrows at me in a puzzled expression and said, "excuse me?"

Was she not aware of what she was doing a few moments ago? Why Did she look so confused and bewildered? 
She looked to the poster and then back to me, it seemed that something clicked in her, explaining why her eyes suddenly widened. Maybe she had just realized that I was the guy in the picture she happened to be kissing.

She then started to explain herself, and said that it was just a misunderstanding. I didn't really get why she put so much effort into explaining, I mean, catching a girl making out with your picture wouldn't be the worst thing.

I just stood there enjoying her trying to explain herself before Dan called me.

"I've gotta go, see ya." I said to her before turning to go and meet Dan.

"Did you speak to coach?,what did he say? " he asked once I reached him.

I then explained to him, the conversation I had with coach and that coach had given me one more chance and made me promise never to miss football practice again.

I was really excited when coach gave me a second chance. This time I won't screw up.
