Chapter 17 Slave to Love

“Sect Leader Yinhua?” I looked to Liu Longting in curiosity.

Liu Longting noticed that the beauty mistook me for someone else. He then held my hand and walked toward the woman, saying, “Second Sister, she’s my shaman. Her name is Bai Jing. I brought her back home today so you and Eldest Brother can meet her.”

Hearing Liu Longting introduce me as Bai Jing, the woman confidently walked out of the door and said, “Oh! Sorry for my horrible memory. I was just too happy knowing Longting’s back!” As she said that, her refined face turned to me with an appraising look. The smile on her face was a bit awkward, and patronizingly said to me, “So you’re Longting’s shaman. You sure look young. Come in and sit.”

As Liu Longting was walking into the house with me, she introduced the woman as his second sister, Liu Lieyun. He said she had a bold temperament and was in charge of most of the matters within the household since his eldest brother was not home most of the year.

Liu Lieyun prepared some tea for us while Longteng and Jiao’er talked about the outside world with Liu Longting. Looking at the two cute siblings next to my knees and the elegant second sister, followed by the handsome Liu Longting, I began to suspect that I had fallen into a honey trap.

No wonder so many ancient books talked about being enthralled by monsters to the point of death. If I was being enthralled by monsters as good looking as this, I would willingly die in their hands—even being a ghost was fine.

“Bai Jing, since you came back with Longting this time, you should stay for a few more days. It’s not as convenient here as back in the city, but if you lack anything, we’ll immediately send someone to buy it for you.”

“We’ll leave after the new years, Bai Jing’s term is starting soon.” Liu Longting answered for me.

“University? Which university do you go to?”

“It’s in the capital. I study art there,” I answered Liu Lieyun.

When Liu Lieyun heard that I studied art, she suddenly got excited. She placed the tea down and excitedly sat next to me, and asked, “Then do you know how to draw western style drawings? The kind where there’s a naked model?”

Seeing Liu Lieyun’s beautiful face in front of me, asking me with her child-like expression, I could not help but smile as I answered, “Do you mean oil paintings? Yes I do know how to, but I haven’t drawn in a while so I’m a little rusty.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re rusty, you should draw one for me. If you’re willing, I’ll get a subordinate to get all the materials here immediately. If you have time these few days, you should help me draw one to place in my room.”

I had felt like an outsider in Liu Longting’s home, but I did not expect Liu Lieyun to be so friendly. She was so passionate that I did not know how to decline, so I hurriedly agreed and said I would make her look like an angel descended from heaven.

After I said that, Liu Lieyun was so happy that she could not stop smiling. She asked me what she needed to buy and immediately sent someone to get all the materials.

We drank some tea and rested for a while. Liu Lieyun arranged a room for me to stay in for the night. Liu Longting and I were not married, so we did not sleep in the same room. However, Liu Lieyun still arranged for me to stay next to Liu Longting’s room. She said there were all manner of beings that cultivated in this mountain, so it was safer if I stayed next to Liu Longting.

I did not mind as long as I did not have to stay in the same room as Liu Longting. After Liu Lieyun was done arranging everything for us, she hurried outside and put Liu Longting responsible for the house for the time being. She was practically the sole parent for such a big household, and if Liu Longting had not come back when he did, she would have collapsed from exhaustion.

Liu Longting very naturally took over caring for the household. After helping me tidy up the room, he brought me around the house. There were more than ten wild spirits under their banner along with a female housekeeper. However, I did not manage to see Liu Longting’s eldest brother or his parents. Longteng and Jiao’er were still young, so where had their parents gone?

When I asked Liu Longting, he said his parents passed away from old age a few years ago. They had lived for more than 3000 years, but it could still be counted as an early death. His eldest brother was a Supreme Fairy in the south and was thus, quite busy. It was hard to see him even once a year.

“I’ve heard of animal spirits and guardian fairies, and that amongst animal spirits, there are Sitting and Running Practitioners. So is a Supreme Fairy a Sitting Practitioner?” I asked Liu Longting.

Hearing my explanation, Liu Longting teased me before explaining, “A Supreme Fairy is a celestial immortal that has already seen their cultivations bear fruit. They stay in the heavens, managing all the animal spirits that cultivate on earth.”

“So if a Supreme Fairy is that powerful, then what about Sect Leader Yinhua? Is Sect Leader Yinhua also an animal spirit?” I asked Liu Longting. After all, Liu Lieyun had mistaken me for Sect Leader Yinhua earlier, so I was a bit curious if I actually looked like this person.

When Liu Longting heard me asking about Sect Leader Yinhua, he looked at me and asked, “What do you think? Is she more powerful or not?”

“I’m not Sect Leader Yinhua, how would I know?” I stared at Liu Longting incredulously. He smiled at me but did not answer my question and just headed straight to the kitchen to arrange dinner.

In Liu Longting’s home, I felt like I was a guest at a rich person’s resident during old times. Everything in his house was an antique, and even the dining table was a carved round table like what people used during the olden days. Liu Longting told me this table was indeed from the past and was about one or two hundred years old.

D*mn, even the tables in his house were antiques. All those paintings and furniture I saw while looking around his home, any of them would probably cost a fortune outside. It seemed like Liu Longting was secretly rich. If I was ever in need of money in the future, I could ask him for help.

The housekeeper had finished bringing my drawing materials back by the time we finished dinner and left it all in my room. There was no electricity within these mountains, so Longteng and Jiao’er went to bed early, dragging Liu Longting with them for bedtime stories. I sat alone in the room idly, so I decided to finish setting up all the painting tools to potentially start drawing Liu Lieyun tomorrow.

Around ten o’clock at night, Liu Longting pushed open my door while yawning. He saw me setting up the canvas and laughed, asking if I really was an art student.

Holy sh*t, did he think I was bullsh*tting when I said I was an art student earlier?

Liu Longting was a bit tired before, but hearing what I said, he perked up. “Okay, I’ll suppose I can humble myself a bit and be your nude model.” Liu Lonting started to undo with clothes and buttons as he said that.

Just as I thought of stopping him, his chiseled chest started to show and I recalled that he had a very fine body. If I could draw it and show off to my roommates when school started, it would be great for my reputation!

Originally, my only intent was to paint him, but I never would have thought that I would be so fixated on the sleek and exquisite muscles on his body to the point where my throat was starting to dry.

“I’m thirsty. Get me a glass of water.” Liu Longting said to me.

I flicked the brush in my hand and cursed him for being such a handful in my heart. When I brought the water to Liu Longting, he grabbed the cup and drank it all in one go. He then pulled my hand toward him, making me fall into his embrace. Two soft lips touched mine, and a stream of refreshing water flowed from his mouth into my throat, feeding me the warm water in him.

He followed by carrying me to the bed, taking off my shoes with one hand. He then kept me in his embrace and pressed down on me.

When I woke up the next day, it was already bright and sunny outside. I parted the muslin veil and moved to keep the painting. However, looking at the paint rack, I noticed that the nude drawing I drew for Liu Longting last night had disappeared!
