Chapter 27 Birthday Party

I gave Yao Na an incredulous look and said, “Wow, it’s been so long. I’d have forgotten it already if you didn’t remind me.”

Yao Na clicked her tongue at me, “Wow, you really forgot your old flame right after you found a new man huh? So are you going to Wang Xuan’s party tomorrow or not?!”

Wang Xuan was the student welfare committee member for our class. He had a very proper southern man look to him and was very gentle and caring. There was a period last year where we had some feelings for each other, but we ended up fighting over some small issues and stopped privately communicating with each other. Furthermore, Liu Longting invited me to go house hunting tomorrow. Compare that to a birthday party with fellow classmates, and it was obvious that I would choose to view the houses!

As I was about to tell Yao Na that I had no desire to go, neither had he sent me an invitation, my phone rang. I picked up the phone. Wang Xuan was on the other end of the line, inviting me to his birthday party.

I was going to reject him and say I had something going on tomorrow, but Yao Na snatched the phone from my hand and told Wang Xuan that I would be going and a bunch of other things. Right after she hung up, she told me she already agreed to Wang Xuan’s request in my place, and they had planned out the day. Wang Xuan had reserved a small courtyard in Huairou District, and we would be going there first tomorrow afternoon. Following that would be a wild night of partying, before coming back the next morning. After saying that, she said, “Bai Jing, Wang Xuan specially invited you, and I’ve already agreed on your behalf. It would be really rude if you didn’t go.”

I did not know what Yao Na was thinking at that moment. She already thought Liu Longting was my boyfriend, so why was she trying to set me up with another guy? There was something wrong with her head!

However, I did not want to berate her directly, so I turned to Liu Longting. Since we appeared to be in a relationship, I asked him if I could go tomorrow.

I had thought Liu Longting would be unhappy, but unexpectedly, Liu Longting nodded and said, “Go ahead. Your classmate has invited you, so why wouldn’t you go?”

When Yao Na heard Liu Longting’s reply, she smiled and patted Liu Longting on the chest twice, apologizing to him and telling him that he would need to look for some other entertainment tomorrow. No one was allowed to bring their significant others to Wang Xuan’s party.

Liu Longting looked at Yao Na with a nonchalant expression and told me to pack up some stuff for a sleepover.

That thing in the room had already been cleansed, so I was not too worried about leaving Yao Na alone in the dormitory. Furthermore, it was not right for an old guy like Liu Longting to stay with me in a female dormitory, so I planned for us to meet at a spot, and then we could leave together.

After we left the university, we rented a room at a guesthouse near the school. I was very curious about that female ghost we handled tonight and asked Liu Longting where that woman had come from. Her actions just now were very obviously targeted at me, but I didn’t do anything to wrong her. Why would she want to hurt me?

Liu Longting told me as he flipped through the clothes in my bad, “These types of ghosts that bear grudges will not only harm you if they have something against you; they can be commanded. That ghost looked like it had been dead for quite a few years, so she definitely does not have some deep-seated grudge against you. The only remaining possibility is that someone commanded her to harm you.”

“But I haven’t wronged anyone! Who would want to hurt me?” I asked Liu Longting.

“I’m not Yue Tianxiang. How am I supposed to know why that female ghost wanted to harm you? However, you’ve already been targeted, so we need to be careful in the future. If it’s happened once, it’s very likely to happen again.

Listening to the causal way he spoke, I did not put too much stock on the matter. However, Liu Longting had been constantly pawing through the clothes in my bag, so I asked him what the heck he was doing.

“Helping you pick out an outfit for your sweetheart’s birthday party tomorrow,” Liu Longting said, as he dumped all my clothes back into the bag. “There’s nothing good in here. I’ll buy some new clothes for you tomorrow.”

When Yao Na invited me earlier, I was worried that Liu Longting would not have let me go. Unexpectedly, he not only generously agreed, he even wanted to doll me up before I left. I could not guess what was on his mind. One moment he’s kissing me passionately, and the next, he’s dressing me up to go find a suitor.

Seeing my confused expression, Liu Longting moved to my side and said, “I doubt you’ll be able to leave me. Go ahead and look at other guys. Feel. Mine is definitely even longer than the brat’s face.” As Liu Longting said that, he pulled my hand towards his groin.

I quickly pulled my hand back and called him shameless. I then laid on the bed to sleep.

We did not do anything that night. When I got up the next day, Liu Longting really did buy a set set of clothes for me to wear. I had thought that Liu Longting was not going to come, but he turned into a small white snake and wrapped himself around my arm. It was still very cold outside, so no one would find out if he hid up my sleeve. He even told me he wanted to see how I was going to flirt with that man.

Liu Longting really was a pervert, dressing me up just to see how I was going to flirt with another man. If it was not for the fact that he had turned into a cute little snake, I would have nagged him until his parents wouldn’t recognize him.

Wang Xuan drove over to pick me up. His house was in Beijing, and he even had an apartment in the outer area. Part of the reason why I had been sweet to him was his well-to-do family. After all, he was a man who had a good family, good looks, and was good with women. It was like he was the prince charming every girl dreamed of meeting.

However, when Wang Xuan was talking to me in the car, I could not help but look at his head and think about what Liu Longting said last night about his plaything being longer than Wang Xuan’s face! Looking at it, he was actually right. Liu Longting’s length was probably about 18 to 20. Every time we came together, he impaled himself unbelievably deep within me.

With that thought in my head, I could not look at Wang Xuan’s face directly. When he was talking to me, I either lowered my head or looked out the window.

When we were still on the way, Yao Na called me and said they had already arrived, asking Wang Xuan and I to hurry up.

Wang Xuan was one of those people who looked very carefree but in reality was a schemer. As we were fast approaching the destination, he suddenly turned the car and brought me to a different location.

“Where are you bringing me? This is the wrong way.” I protested, while grasping my phone.

“It’s not the wrong way. I wanted to bring you here before my birthday party.”

If it was just Wang Xuan and I in the car, I might have been worried. However, Liu Longting was now an obedient little snake wrapped around my hand, so I had a snake sage with a few hundred years of experience with me. Why should I be afraid of a normal man like Wang Xuan?

“Bai Jing, did you deliberately dress up so prettily today for me?” Wang Xuan asked.

When I heard that, I silently cursed and awkwardly told him no. I informed him that my boyfriend had bought it for me.

“Yao Na told me yesterday that you had a boyfriend, but didn’t you promise me last year that you would be my girlfriend if I was still single this year?” Wang Xuan said calmly.

I did not know why Yao Na needed to tell these things to Wang Xuan, so I smiled at him and apologized. I said he did not really chase after me, so I did not know what his intentions were. Was it not very normal that nothing would happen between us?

“My family is very rich. The entire family has pieces of real estate in Beijing. Shouldn’t you be the one chasing me? Who do you think you are, expecting me to chase after you?”

What the f*ck did that guy just say?! I felt a surge of anger and asked him to stop the car. I did not care about that tiny bit of money from his family! Who cares about his real estate?

Wang Xuan saw my anger and hurried to console me, saying he misspoke earlier. He said he had been waiting the whole year for me to make a move. Even Yao Na knew he was waiting. Yao Na told him that I had given up on him yesterday, and I was kissing another man in the dormitory room…

Wang Xuan was frantically explaining but I had no intention of listening to anything he had to say. He suddenly slammed the breaks and, as if he was prepared for it, grabbed my chest with his hands and forcefully tried to kiss me!
