9. Get It Together

"Sophie" he said staring at me with those piercingly blue eyes, as if they could see straight through me and into my soul.

"Yes Justin?" I replied

"You are mine forever, don’t forget it!" He growled at me possessively.

"Yes, yours forever." I replied

He grabbed my waist and pulled me into his chest, then looked down at me and said "Sophie!.....Sophie!.....Sophie!.....Sophie!" shaking my body.

"Wh…wh…what?" Sophie asked covering her eyes from the sun peering through her opened curtains.

"It's 12pm, why are you still in bed?" Emily asked "Are you sick?"

Sophie sat up yawning "it's 12pm? What the heck? That means I slept for like 12 hours!"

Emily placed the back of her hand on Sophie's forehead. "You don't have a fever, are you feeling ok?" Emily asked.

"I feel fine" Sophie replied shrugging her shoulders "but I was having the craziest dream."

"About what?" Emily asked.

Sophie blushed "Uhhmm."

"Spill it Soph, was it about Oliver?" Emily asked.

Sophie laughed "No, it was about this guy that came that came in to the diner last night" she paused thinking "he was actually quite rude to me."

Emily smirked "But was he hot?"

"I guess" Sophie shrugged.

Emily grinned "Well you pink cheeks and huge smile say differently my friend. I need details now!" sitting down on the bed.

Sophie smiled "He is literally tall, dark and handsome. He has the brightest blue eyes I have ever seen, jet black hair, and his skin is so tan I'm pretty sure he just left the beach, oh and his abs!" Sophie sighed.

"Dang Soph! If I didn't know better I would say you’re in love with this guy." Emily smirked.

"Nonsense!" Sophie said "he was rude to me and besides, I will likely never see him again anyways" she said getting off the bed and heading out into the hallway, and into the bathroom.

When she got done Emily was standing there waiting outside the bathroom.

"I've never seen you gush over a guy like this Soph," Emily said crossing her hand across her chest and leaning against the wall.

"Emily stop" Sophie said.

"What? I'm being serious!" Emily said.

Sophie shook her head and stepped around her going back to her bedroom. Emily followed her.

"Are you just going to follow me around everywhere?" Sophie asked

"Maybe" Emily said with attitude.

"Can I at least get dressed in private?" Emily sneered.

"Fine! But lets do a girls day today. We can hit the mall do some window shopping. Get our nails done, then hit Redbox for chick flicks, and of course the gas station for junk food!" Emily asked smiling

"That actually sounds amazing." Sophie said with a smile!

"Justin" she said, making my knees feel weak as my name slipped off of her lips.

"Yes my mate?" I replied back.

"I am yours forever." She said

"You are mine forever, and don’t you forget it!" I growled lowly at her possessively.

I reached out and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her tight in to my chest. She looked up at me and said "EH!.....EH!.....EH!.....EH!"

Justin sat straight up in bed his alarm waking him up. He reached over and shut it of and then did a double take looking back at his alarm clock. "I slept until noon?" he asked himself out loud. 'Yup, that’s because we were dreaming of our mate' Edon said. 'Great!' Justin sneered 'now that human girl is invading my dreams?' "And it will only continue to get worse the longer we're away from her' Edon said. Justin sighed and got out of bed making his way over to his bathroom. He did his business, brushed his teeth and then ran a brush through his hair. He made his way over to his closet and picked out a dark grey suit. He kept a closet full of clothes here so he could travel with less on visits. Then he walked over to a safe at the end of the closet, punched a few numbers in and it opened. He pulled out a holster and attached it to his belt on his right side, then pulled out a Glock 23 and secured it in the holster. He closed the safe and buttoned up his suit jacket.

"Robert are you here?" Juist in hollered as he walked in to the living room."

"Yes Alpha I'm here." Robert said as he walked out of the kitchen.

"Why did you let me sleep until noon?" Justin asked.

"I tried to wake you 3 times Alpha, but you wouldn't budge, and you kept saying a name over and over in your sleep." Robert replied.

Justin rubbed the back of his neck "could you make out what name I was saying?"

"I think it was Sophie." Robert said.

Justin shook his head.

"Who is Sophie?" Robert Asked

Justin Scowled.

"I apologize Alpha it is none of my buisness." Robert replied.

"It's ok Robert' Justin sighed "she's my mate, I met her yesterday."

"Why Alpha, that is great news! After 10 years of waiting you have finally found her!" Robert exclaimed.

"I don’t know about that. She's human. How can the Moon Goddess pair me with a weak human?" Justin sneered.

"The Moon Goddess knows what she's doing Alpha, there has to be a reason."

"It can never happen, there is no way a human can be strong enough to help me protect our pack. I need to go I'm running late already. Will you call Rachel and tell her to meet me in the lobby? I will be back this evening."

"Yes Alpha" Robert said picking up the phone.

Justin walked over to the elevator and entered it punching the L button to take him down tp the lobby. When the elevator approached the 10th floor it stopped. When the doors opened Rachel was standing there waiting.

She rolled her eyes at Justin "I thought you wanted to leave this morning?" She asked sharply.

"I'm the boss and I changed my mind, We can just hit the site after the meeting." Justin snapped at her.

"Whatever!" She snapped back.

Justin growled and pushed her against the elevator wall. "Don't let last night cloud your judgment Rachel! It was a mistake and will never happen again!"

"O….O….Ok Alpha" Rachel replied, holding back tears.

"Now, lets get back to normal. Do not forget your place, I am your Alpha and you will treat me with respect." Justin said pulling away from her and straightening his suit jacket.

Rachel wiped a tear from her face and composed herself as the elevator doors opened to the lobby.

Justin exited and Rachel followed him. "There is a car waiting for us." Rachel said.

Justin nodded and lead them through the lobby, and out the front doors.

As they exited the building the same young man from the night before stood with the door open at the limo for them to enter. "Sir, Ma'am good afternoon" he said.

"Why are you always using the limo?" Justin asked Rachel.

"I don’t know, because most people like the limo." she replied.

"Well I am not like most people." Justin sneered.

"Ok, next time I'll use another vehicle." Rachel said getting into the back of the limo and sliding over to the other side.

Justin nodded and got in after her.

It was a few minute drive when they pulled up to the restaurant Caruso's.

"Why is the meeting here?" Justin asked.

"Because I had to do a little bribing to get him to meet you today."

"Very well" he said.

They entered the restaurant and were greeted by a young blond girl, "Welcome to Caruso's do you have a reservation?" She asked.

"Yes for Wright" Justin said.

"Right this way" the young woman said.

She lead them through the restaurant towards a private table in the back. "You're guest is already here sir."

They looked and saw a man with brown hair and a stocky build sitting at the table, He stood up as they approached.

"Hi I am Mr. Wright" Justin said holding his hand out.

"Hello." he said shaking Justin's hand.

"And you of course know Rachel" Justin said.

"Hi Mr. Smith" Rachel said.

"Please call me Derrick, he said shaking her hand.

They all took their seats as a young man with black hair approached the table, "Can I get you all something to drink?" he asked.

"Water" Justin said. "I'll take a glass on Pinot Noir" Rachel said. "And water for me as well" said Derick. "Great look over your menus and I'll be right back with your drinks." The waiter said.

"Thank you" Rachel said with a smile.

"So what is so important with our new build that I had to come up here?" Justin asked looking at Derrick.

"It's nothing too major that needs to be take care of, just a few minor things" Derrick replied.

Justin looked over at Rachel with a confused look. "Ummm, oh here come our drinks." Rachel said.

The waiter gave everyone their drinks and then asked "Are you ready to order?"

"I'll take the Osso Buco" Justin said.

"Chicken parmigiana please" Rachel said.

"I'll have the braised raga" Derrick said.

"Alright guys, I will get this right in" the waiter said.

"So what do we need to do?" Justin asked

"It really is just some simple changes Mr. Wright. I'm not sure it warranted you making a trip" Derrick replied.

Justin looked at Rachel who pretended not to notice, looking at Derrick.

Derrick continued "The construction crew used the wrong fasteners when they installed the windows, it's simple but might be a little time consuming. A couple plumbing lines need to re-routed that will put you back maybe 2 or 3 days, but that's it. We really could have done this over the phone Sir."

Justin crossed his arms to his chest and stared at Rachel, waiting for an answer.

"I just thought you would want to be here for this." Rachel said.

Justin shook his head "Derrick I am so sorry about all of the fuss, it sounds like I was mislead on the severity of the problem."

"It's ok" Derrick laughed "at least I'm getting a good meal out of it."

The waiter brought their food and they all ate exchanging small talk. After they had finished Justin said "Well thank you for your time." "Thank you for the meal" Derrick replied standing up and shaking Justin's hand. Justin paid the waiter and then they left making their way to the car. As they drove towards the build site Justin asked "What the hell Rachel?"

"What?" She replied.

"Why the hell am I even here?" He asked.

"I thought you would want to be here for this." She shrugged.

"You've handle bigger problems then this on other builds, I don’t understand!" He sneered.

Rachel just stared out the window, and after a few more minutes said "We're here."

Justin opened the door and exited with Rachel following behind him. Rachel showed him around the new hotel building and pointed out the things Derrick had mentioned. Then they got back in and headed back towards the hotel. As they sat there quietly, not talking, Sophie popped into Justin's head again, he just couldn’t keep her from sneaking back in. Justin sighed and pulled out his phone, dialing a few numbers.

"Hey Bro! How's Indy?" Eric asked picking up on the other end.

"A colossal waste of time!" Justin Sneered. "I'm coming back tonight, can you have Mike get the chopper ready and come pick me up?"

"Sure thing" Eric replied.

"How's training going?" Justin Asked.

"Great Zeke got everyone up and going at 4am, they’ve been training all day. Except for a few small breaks and an hour for lunch" Eric said.

"Good" Justin said.

"Anything else bro?" Eric asked.

'MATE!' Edon said. 'FINE!' Justin replied.

"Will you please do some research on Sophie so maybe I can get Edon to shut up?!" Justin huffed.

Eric laughed "Gladly!"

Justin rolled his eyes and hung up on him.

"Who's Sophie?" Rachel asked.

"NO ONE!" Justin spat.

They pulled back up to the hotel and made their way into the lobby.
"I'm heading back in a couple hours when Mike gets here. So have a car ready" Justin said.

"Ok" Rachel replied.

"And Rachel!" Justin sneered "Get things under control here! If you can't handle this, I WILL replace you!"

Rachel nodded as Justin entered the elevator leaving her there. Rachel rolled her eyes and walked over to the front desk where a young blond girl was typing away at the computer. "So I guess your plan to seduce the Alpha backfired?" The girl asked.

"For now" Rachel said "he made a complete fool of me, but I will get him back! And I need to find out who Sophie is!"
