The screams and shouts from several people could be heard reverberating in a big auditorium at the dead of the night, the minute a certain person stepped on stage.
“AHHHHHHH!!”
“GO ERICA!!”
“I LOVE YOU!”
A young lady stood on the stage blocking the light behind her. Slowly, she walked towards the mic with a fiery glint of passion in her eyes seeing the lovely fans below.
Her white chiffon floor-length dress with an A-line cut clacked under the gentle breeze of acceptance and love.
It had a glamorous bow like cut at the back of her neck, the dress hugged her in her right places emphasising her exquisite curves.
Her waist was shamelessly hugged by the white elastic cloth which resembled a belt which made her waist look thinner.
Her corners of lips curled up forming a bright smile as she captured their hearts earning the cheers and applause with closed orbs, bright smile revealing her pearly white teeth which reached her big watery doe-like eyes.
Noticing that the crowd had gotten even rowdier than before upon seeing her attire which snagged everyone's attention, contrasted to her Auburn dye, she decided to flash a smile towards them for showing their appreciation and cheer towards her.
A Goddess with an unparalleled beauty along with the voice of an angel, she lifted her one arm to indicate a warm gesture whereas the wind brushed off her red hair which hung on the waist.
She was no doubt an idol clad in shiny bright skin fit dress, an unmatched beauty loved by all. She inhaled sharply and snapped open her beaming eyes.
“Woww!!”
“Erica!!”
She couldn’t help but flash another charming smile their way, causing an eruption of cheers, once more.
“Hehe,” she giggled softly into the mic. Yes call it unprofessional and all, these were her fans, fans that meant the world to her.
Without them, there was no Erica Johnson, it would just be a normal and simple girl, Emerald Asteria Ivan.
Oh yes, she decided to use an alias so that she could have a normal life aside from her stage one.
“Thank you, thank you so much for granting this occasion with your presence. This next song is going to be dedicated to you, my fans, for bringing me so much joy.”
“Yayy!!”
“Erica! Erica! Erica!”
On and on and on, the cheers went as the sweet melody of her name resonated in the whole arena.
“Every night I dream, it’s your face I see and…”

Back of stage, after her performance, Erica, her manager, her personal assistant and several bodyguards and policemen cleared her path, making way for her to get to her private Limousine.
She entered the car and waved to her fans from the rolled down the window, giving them a toothed smile as the driver drove away.
Some minutes later when the whole charade was done and they had successfully driven away from the vicinity, the window was rolled back up and she relaxed, letting her back hit the seats in a tired heap, heaving a deep sigh of relief.
Another day had gone. Peace at last.
“That was splendid,” her personal assistant, Jane West, complimented her.
“Of course it would be splendid. Nothing less, as should be expected from our Erica.” The older woman, Ms Daphne Grey, her manager said.
A smile spread across her face as she looked at the girl with incomparable beauty seated in front of her.
Erica replicated her smile, giving it right back to her. “I try to please, D.G.” Her eyes twinkled in the car at her response.
She looked so innocent, yet fierce when needed to be, as the music world warranted that. If not, you would be matched on, and can even be betrayed and used by your manager.
It wasn’t a new thing and although Erica was cute and innocent looking, she had it tough at one point in her life, helping her grow in this harsh world and be accustomed to his way of treachery.
“You did the song irrespective, good. You gained more likes and followers on Instagram because of it. I was wrong and for that, I got you a gift.”
Erica’s eyes narrowed, hearing her manager speak. This woman was known for how she could make any talented person rise but she had her perks and one had to be careful lest they were double-crossed.
Due to that fact, Erica played it safe with her. But on this occasion, she had disagreed with Erica singing such a calm song. Stubbornly, Erica did it anyway as it was how she felt and needed it to be out.
“Blue Sky City’s biggest entertainment industry had agreed to do a collaboration with you and have you perform in their city’s stadium for their golden jubilee,” Daphne announced, her eyes beaming with joy for breaking the news to her.
Who would have thought that the city Daphne had been trying to coax into allowing Erica to perform in, finally agreed the minute they listened to her live on television.
It was such a big news that Daphne was going to throw a party to celebrate. What she didn’t know or phantom was Erica’s reaction to the news.
Rather than feel happy about it, Erica’s expression dropped and her face fell into a deep frown.
“What is it? Why aren’t you happy about it? This would not just broaden your fan base, but it is s huge step in your career. A lot of singers would kill to have this opportunity. Everyone knows how difficult it is to be invited by Blue Sky’s entertainment industry. Only the best of the best gets accepted.”
Erica just watched Daphne rant on and on about the big success but she wasn’t feeling any of it, not when she had warned her the first day she mentioned reaching out to Blue Sky City.
She had an unforgettable past there and wasn’t planning on going back to that city, but her manager still went against her and got her the deal.
“I won’t go.”
CHAPTER 3“I want this new brand and price trending everywhere and on all social media.”“Got it,” Jett replied, before hanging up the call.“The moment the news about Ms Erica Johnson performing for the city’s jubilee was released, the announcement went viral. Why do you think so, Emelia?”The newscaster asked, turning to her fellow newscaster to brief the public on the situation.“Thank you so much, Julia. I believe this is so because, everyone has been looking forward to who the singer for this year’s ceremony is going to be and not until now, Blue Sky’s entertainment industry has been silent on the news. So I can imagine the shock and joy from its citizens when Cloud City’s leading female singer was picked to
CHAPTER 2"I won't go."Daphne's eyes opened wide at her statement, she never expected that answer from her. She actually thought she would be thrilled at the news.Jane who was drinking a soda choked on her drink upon hearing her boss's response.Cough! Cough!"Erica!""What do you mean by that?" Daphne asked, her smiling face now dropping into a frown as her eyes raked up and down the girl in front of her like it was the first time she was seeing her."Everything it is supposed to mean. I am not going. I told you before not to push through with this. Did you take me for a child's play that you still went behind my back to do this?" Erica asked, getting angry from her own words."I did what I thought was best for you.""No, you did what you think was best for yourself. Did you ever once stop to think about me? What would Erica feel about this? No, you didn't, all you think about is fame and money.""Isn't that wh
