Chapter 3

The last few days were a blur. I felt like I was in a haze, going through the motions of my life but not retraining or fully comprehending any of it. My body was present, but my mind was still in the woods. Everything about that day had been perfect. He walked me back to my property line and said he would wait for my next move. I didn’t know what it met, but I was full of bliss and agreed. I decided to wait until the full moon tonight to drink the tea. Full moons may not cause wolves to shift like crazy, but they do strengthen us witches and provide much needed energy.

Tonight, was the night. Not knowing exactly how my memories would be restored, I wanted to be prepared. Magic is amazing but we are still in human bodies. Well, I guess mine is part wolf too… But when you do something like this, it takes place in what some people refer to as the astral plane. In simple terms, it is the place your soul can go to without your body. Being an empath, I mastered moving between dimensions at a young age. It may have been easier for me with my soul being reincarnated so many times… I thought to myself.

Being under the moonlight and feeling it touch my skin I had set up a blanket and my candles. The sage and lavender mixture was already burning when I set down the bowl filled with the tea. I looked around before taking my seat. I couldn’t tell if it was my nerves or if someone was watching. I did not see or hear anything, so I shook myself. MAN UP! My vision started to become blurry, as if I were looking into one world with half each eye and the past with the other. Becoming dizzy I laid back as my eyes closed I welcomed the darkness that began fading into memories. I felt a warm blanket be placed over my body that had begun to shiver.

I was standing in a grand hall or something. That is the only way I thought to explain it. I have never seen a place so beautiful, not that I am well-traveled. Suddenly, I felt sparks on my hips. Someone thrusted me up and spun me around from behind. I composed my face to look scared like I didn’t know the assaulter, but I’d know that touch anywhere. “How dare you touch me in such a manner, sir” I said jokingly. As his eyes met mine, I saw him. My head started spinning and I was suddenly in a sheath on a bed. It was not very comfortable and as I looked around the room, I noticed a severe difference in the fireplace on the side of the room.
