Chapter 7

“Kilian, I feel this is something that needs to come from you.” Lex spoke and Sylvi handed me the joint she had just lit. She had a look in her eye like she was trying to get me to relax. I took it then handed it to Kilian as he nodded at Lex.

“Okay, there was a heavy conversation that took place at first. If you want to know how I am okay with everything, I can’t answer that for you. She gave me a choice, and I would never change my mind. I know one day I will find the happiness that you two share, and I still love you more than life, but she helped me see the bigger picture. She told us some vague information about preparing for a huge influx of wolves. You are special Astrid; you know from your previous lives that when you shift it strengthens your abilities as a witch. The power that you possess, you also passed it to our children, and one day they will have your responsibilities. All the wolves in your pack will have special abilities. Love, no wolf other than you has ever had their abilities as a witch stay with them after the shift.”

I was shocked, that was more information than I have received in any of my previous lifetimes. I closed my mouth once I realized I was staring eyes and mouth both wide at Kilian.

“I think she just wanted to make sure I wasn’t going homicidal on anyone. To be honest, if I had never spoken with her before, I would have.” He shrugged, “I guess being aware that it was coming made me mentally prepare. Did I miss anything Lex?”

Lex shook his head. Wait, Lex, you two are buddies now? “Lex?” I questioned out loud with a raised brow.

“I think Kil, has it covered. She wasn’t very specific with anything. The only other thing I have is a theory. I think Joseph Nicolas wants you to enslave you. He clearly knows of you are special; he may have theories based on the prophecy. It is safe to assume he is checking security around you; we will remain unseen as much as possible for the time being.” He seemed to at least have a plan developing in that sexy brain of his.

“And you are both sure that is everything? This is your one free pass.” I said sternly, they needed to know I was not going to let go withholding information in the future. They nodded.

“Okay, who are they?” I pointed towards the two men that Lex introduced earlier.

Lex explained that the taller one, Tristan is his brother, also his Beta. The smaller stocky man is Shane, Tristan’s best friend that their parents cared for after his parents were killed by shifters. The shifters were pretty much tricked into killing his parents and paid for it with their lives.

“Wait, you are an alpha?” I asked Lex, neither of us had ever been wolves of rank by birth before.

“I guess you could say that” he was contemplating his words, “I like to think of it as keeping the seat warm for you. I may be a strong warrior and a good leader, but you are the true Alpha, in time you will see that. My main concern is always you first, then the pack, that is not a good quality for a leader.” He knew the words were true, but he had made peace with it, he didn’t care about being Alpha, he just cared about being with me and helping me.

“That is going to be a lot to digest.” I said slowly.

Sylvi took this opportunity to speak, “You and I are on the same page girl, the only thing I have left to say is I will forever be at your service.” She handed me a shot of whisky and touched her own to the rim of the cup. “I will keep you safe with my life if need be, princess. For the rest of my life and lifetimes to come, I will be your warrior.”

We both brought the shots up and gulped them down. I gave her a tight squeeze and we sat back down. The evening was filled with laughter and to many embarrassing stories of everyone. Listening to how Alexander was as a teenager was my favorite. Kilian, I swear had a list of everything I had ever done that could make me blush and was bringing it up. Around 2 AM, Tristan and Shane went to check on the patrols before heading to their camp that was apparently on the North East corner of the state land. Luke had pretty much carried Sylvi to the car and assured me she would call after she recovered in the morning. It was just Kilian, Alexander, and me. Well, this just got weird, I don’t care how okay they both seem to be with it.

Kilian wanting to be the great guy that he is came over to stand next to me as I was swaying by the fire. I drank way to much and didn’t even know I was moving until he laughed and put his arm around me to stop me.

“Love, you should really head inside, I made sure there is Tylenol on the counter of the kitchenette. Don’t worry about me, I am fine, truly.” He squeezed me and placed a kiss to my forehead. “I love you, goodnight” he said in a confident voice as he walked away.

“Okay, wasted-princess, time to get you to bed.” Lex said as he took my hand.

“I think I am going to just stay right here.” I made the statement and began to sit down on the ground. The world was beginning to spin to fast for my liking.

“Oh no you don’t!” He said as I was almost successful. “I can finally share a bed with you again, I am not leaving you out in the cold, eventually the fire will go out.” He was trying to reason with my senses, I hated being cold. He had scooped me up bridal style and began to carry me towards the garage.

“You always show up when I need you the most.” My words slurring, “I don’t have any clue how…” I stopped speaking for a moment not remembering what I was saying, “Oh ya!” I shouted to loud, “Sorry” I giggled, “I don’t deserve you both, He loves me and I love you, but you love me and I love him, maybe he even loves you too…” I was babbling and not making any sense at all.

I gave up trying to communicate with my words, they were not helping. I laid my head on his broad shoulder and closed my eyes until I felt him setting me onto a bed and removing my shoes. He gently took off each boot and my socks. I went to attempt to take my shirt off and fell backwards on the bed with my sweater around my head stuck. He gently pulled my pants down and set them to the side, he then assisted with untangling my arms and the sweater before unclasping my bra. I was laying there in just my panties, I could feel him staring holes into my body. His aura was projecting so much lust it made me squish.

I wanted to roll over on top of him and tell him to take me, but I couldn’t. The room was spinning so much I wasn’t sure which side of me he was even on. Suddenly, I was sitting up and felt a cloth go over my head, as it passed my nose, I inhaled his scent deeply and snuggled into the fabric. I laid right back down and rolled onto my side trying to keep the room still. I felt his large arms wrap around me and pull me in closer to him, I felt his manhood push up against my butt and I wiggled my hips closer to him. I heard a deep growl come from his chest.

“Princess, you keep going that and the spins will be the last of your worries.” He said as he kissed my neck. “I know this is not going to be easy, but I promise you, I am not going anywhere. Oh, and you can pay me back for my Chivalrous actions tonight tomorrow morning before breakfast.”

“I will pay you back alright…” I started to argue but then darkness was taking over quickly, “I love you Alexander, I am so happy you came back to me again.” Before he had a chance to respond, I was unconscious.
