THE FAMILY

ANNALISE POV

The next morning I woke up feeling tired, after checking the time I realize that I'm running late for school, I quickly took a shower and got ready dressing in a simple blue jeans and iron man t-shirt, I love marvel movies and black flats. I hate makeup so that's a no go for me, after getting ready I took a hard look at myself I was 5'6, long black hair, blue eyes which really look like Nova's, and slim built, I was packing my bag for school thinking about the dream I had, was it really a dream or was it true, because Nova's eyes and my eyes were the same color and with that question reality hit me.

"It is true, hi anna if you are finished doing what you're doing can we go get food I'm hungry" WHAT THE HELL, where did that voice come from.

"NOVA!" I asked out loud not realizing I maybe looking crazy talking to myself.

"YES, now please hurry up I'm smelling food and we have to mask our scent before leaving our room" gosh she sooo pushy how am I going to handle her for a year.

"Nova how to mask out our scent and how could you smell food and I can't," I asked

"Well first of I'm not pushy just hungry, and I will mask out our scent, second if you close your eyes and relax all your scenes will be enhanced and allow you to hear, see and smell things that are further away. Now please use mind link when speaking to me, I don't want people thinking you're some kind of crazy person". Nova answered rather sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at her she is very pushy or rather bossy.

I wanted to argue more but I really wanted to see if what she was saying is true. As I closed my eyes instead of focusing on my senses, I started to remember the conversation with the moon goddess and emotions started to take over, I cried hard and loud, Nova keeps trying to calm me down but it was too much to handle, finding out my parents isn't mines and my real parents are dead because of me. Anger, was all I felt, being lied to, being separated from my parents, and now having the whole supernatural problems on my hands, as if on cue my parents came bursting through my door.

"What happen anna why are you crying your father and I can hear you all way downstairs." mom asked hugging me while dad was looking around the room, he inhaling like he smelt something, and of course they could hear me they are wolves. Both my parents are super fit I didn't understand how I missed these little things that were different about us I have no similar features. My dad or stepdad was tall 6'2, dark brown hair, brown eyes, muscular were as mom or stepmom was the same height as me well-toned, fair, blond hair, and green eyes.

"Anna, your dad is smelling us, you need to calm down for me to mask our smell". Nova pleaded, 

"I cant Nova, its hurting too much, what if something happens to them as well because of me". I screamed at her through our mind link.

"Anna close your eyes and think of the moon goddess, she calmed you down last time, if you keep this up we will shift and everything will be out in the open". 

"OK", As I closed my eyes the moon goddess appeared, and I calmed down instantly letting nova mask our scent, my parents didn't think it was mines because I was too young to get my wolf.

"Anna was someone in your room?". my dad asked looking a bit concerned 

"WHAT, no I hit my foot on the edge of the bed that's why I was crying, you guys know I can't handle pain". I lied, I don't lie to my parents but now things are changing and it's for there safety.

"Ok so who is Nova, and are you going to school or is your foot hurting too much to walk", asked my mom knowing very well that I lied but did not question me about it. As she mentions Nova's name I stiffened a bit but then I saw a book on the ground by the bed and immediately came up with an answer.

"I'm going to school and  Nova is a character in a book I was reading, she died so I felt a bit emotional don't worry about me I will be down for breakfast soon," I said trying to put them off in a way so they could leave.

After breakfast I went to school, I had no friends and I was ok with that I don't like crowds at all. After lunch, the class was introduced to a new student her name was Kelly. She was beautiful she had gray eyes, short brown hair and was fit she was a bit taller than me and despite being older she was in a lower class. The teacher placed her next to me and immediately Nova told me she was a wolf.

For some reason, I liked her, even if she was a wolf we became friends and it remained that way for all throughout our school life. Kelly is straightforward and just like me she had no friends and hated crowds, her family moved and that's why she started this school. Although I knew she was lying Nova was going crazy in my head. We both hated liers and for some reason, the guilt was killing me that I had to lie to my parents knowing everything they did and sacrificed to give me a proper family.

That year passed really fast, kelly and I got closer and Nova and I started to control our emotions. During the year Kelly and I started running around the neighborhood, and I was glad my body was getting some sort of exercise. I had begged my parents to let me join a gym but they always said I was too young and they never liked me being alone with kelly. On the day of my 14th birthday my parents were working and I was super happy, because that meant I could go to bed early, and meet the moon goddess and let her know about the progress that we made during the year. I also wanted to ask her about kelly's sudden appearance in my life, whether it is a good thing or a bad, Nova and I need to know we didn't want any mistakes or slip-ups, even if I was close to Kelly I had my own mission and I wasn't going to sway away from it no matter what.
