11. Music Lessons

We then went to the garden where there was a gazebo and a man wearing a white full gown was playing the harp. His eyes were closed, hairs were silky shiny. He was in his 40s with blonde hair and a little wrinkled skin. He was playing the harp so beautifully. The sound is so mesmerizing.

Casie: Wow the music is amazing.

Suddenly the music stopped and The guy looked at us

David: "Hello Sam. I was wondering you are not attending the lesson. Now I can see the reason. Who is this beautiful young lady?"

Sam: "Hey David. She is Casie. I am helping her in settling down.she is a new angel"

David: "Welcome Casie. Glad to meet you, dear."

Casie: "Same here David."

David: "So Casie do you know anything about music?"

Casie: "Umm... You mean like hard rock or party crasher one?"

David: "No dear. I mean the calm and composed one."

Casie: "Not really but I really love the music you were playing. It was so soothing to ears."

David. "Thanks Casie. I think I will have a good time teaching you."

Sam: "Best of luck with it David. You don't know what you are landing yourself in."

Casie: "Sam grow up. Not everyone is as arrogant and rude as you."

David laughed.

David: "This is gonna be fun. So both of you sit and we will get started."

David taught us about the different chords and vocals and explained different sounds.

David: "When a string is plucked, it will continue to vibrate until its energy is depleted. As the string vibrates, it causes the air around it to move. Now Sam. Can you play something and show Casie how to hold and play?"

Casie:" I hope you will not break the string."

Sam: "Not everyone is so grumpy like you."

Sam started playing the harp and I must say I have never heard anyone playing so beautifully. The tune was so magical. This guy surprises me every day. How can I not fall for him? I wish only if he was a little less arrogant.

He then started singing in his deep melodious voice and he is an amazing singer. God why he has to be so perfect. I thought.

He completed the song.

Casie: "That was really beautiful. You have a really good voice."

Sam: "Thanks. But I am not done yet."

Casie: "Oh there is more. I can hear your voice all day...."

Sam raised his eyebrow.

Casie: "I mean the song is really lovely. I can listen to it the whole day."

Sam: "Thanks. But you are gonna sing with me."

Casie: "What? Me...No I haven't sung for a while."

Sam: "So that means you used to sing at some point. So this will be easier than the dance practice." He winked

Casie: "Not much. Just with friends sometime."

David: "Casie we all would love if you sing."

Sam gave an encouraging look. We started singing in sync with each other.

All angels smiled cheerfully upon our song completion.

Casie: "Wow that was really..."

Sam: " Romantic?"

Casie(blushing): "Yeah kind of."

David: "So we have completed today's lesson.So you all of you can depart."

David took the harp and went out of the gazebo. I started getting up

Sam: "Casie... stay a little longer with me."

Casie: "Ok. I would like that. This place is so beautiful"

We stayed in the gazebo standing and looking at the landscape...The lake, the mountain, the happily swinging flowers, cool breeze, and me with Sam standing in a gazebo in the middle of a lush green garden...everything seemed so perfect. Suddenly Sam held my hands. I was a bit surprised but I held his hand back. We stayed there for quite a while. then he spoke

Sam: "You know this is my happy place. This is the place which helps me calm down and takes all my worries away".

Casie; "I can relate to it. I had such a place back at my home. there was a lighthouse and besides that, there was a small cliff. I used to go there when I used to feel low. But now You don't have to feel sad or lonely. You have me here. I am so glad that you shared your happy place with me."

Sam:" How could I have not shared my special happy place with the girl I like the most?"

Casie: Sam..what are you saying? You always argue with me. You call me kiddo.

Sam; Are you crazy? I love your childish way.I love to argue with you. I love to tease you. I love calling you kiddo. You are my kiddo. I really like you a lot.

I blushed slightly.

"He likes me. wow. I like him too. We both will be so perfect together". I thought

Casie: "Sam. I like you too however I need to know some things about you."

Sam's expression turned serious.

Sam: " I know ...You need to know about Carol and I believe I owe you an explanation. You deserve to know it."
