7. The consequences

Casie: "Wow that was some trip."

Sam: "Congrats on completing your 1st task successfully."

Is he actually praising me? Wow. I thought

Casie: "You know what makes it more special is I have a souvenir as well to remember my first task."

Sam(shocked): "What souvenir are you talking about?"

I showed him the painting with scattered colors.

Sam: "Casie are you out of your mind? You can't carry things from the earth here." He yelled at me.

Casie: "You should have informed me this earlier. How am I supposed to know?"

Sam; "Kiddo you should have followed the instructions. I never told you to carry the painting."

Casie; "Well you never told me to leave the painting. Also if I would have left it there the painter would have discovered it. What about the secret guardian angel mission than?"

Sam: "Come on. Let's go to Amy and tell her. Let's see what she says."

Casie: "You are right. We need a sensible person who can suggest the right thing."

Sam; "Did you just called me foolish?"

Casie: "Foolish and Illogical."

Sam(angrily): "I am your mentor. Don't forget that."

Casie: "How can I forget that I have got a foolish and angry angel instead of a calm, composed, and a smart one."

I walked towards the hallway. Sam followed me angrily.

Amy: "Welcome Casie and Sam. So what's the update. Have you completed the task?"

Casie: "Yes Amy, we cloned the last good image of the painting and helped the painter."

Amy: '"That's amazing. That was a very smart idea. Quite technical and innovative. I am impressed."

Sam:" Amy we need to talk about Casie. She is behaving childishly. She bought the damaged painting canvas to Angelina."

Casie(to Sam): "Excuse me. I am new. I didn't know that it is forbidden to bring things from the earth. You never told me."

Sam: "You never listen to me kiddo."

I just rolled my eyes.

Casie(To Amy): "I am really sorry Amy. I genuinely didn't know that this is something that can break the rules. Please forgive me."

Amy: "Enough both of you. Both of you are acting like kinder garden kids. We are angels. We are supposed to calm, mature. Both of you behave yourself.. Casie where is the painting?"

I handed over the canvas to Amy.

Amy had a look at the canvas.

Amy: "So the masterpiece was really damaged badly. I am glad you could come up with a smart idea to fix the painting Casie. The poor guy might have spent hours making this. Now since this cannot be kept here in Angelina as this is against the kingdom rule I will send it to messenger angels on earth via mail. Now since this is a minor mistake I will not be too strict but both of you will face consequences".

Sam; "But why me. I haven't done anything. This stupid kiddo cannot keep her hand off of this damn painting. It's not my mistake."

Amy: "Watch your tone Sam and yes you both will face the consequences since you are the mentor and she is the student. Now both of you will clean the garden and water the plants. All angels who are assigned garden duty today will be granted leave. Now go out of my sight both of you and start your work in 30mins."

Sam and I came to our respective rooms. I changed into a baby pink dress and tied a ponytail. I then headed towards Sam's room.

I entered his room and my eyes were wide open seeing the sight in front of me. Gosh, he was just wearing a towel. Damn, he was looking so hot. His muscular body and perfect abs were showing off perfectly. I stared at him opened mouth.

Sam: "Ever heard of knocking kiddo?"

Casie: "How am I supposed to know you are changing clothes. You should have closed the door."

Sam; "Why should I close the door. It's my room and I didn't expect anyone to come into the room without knocking. Oh, I forgot you never listen to kiddo.

Casie: "Seriously. Are you for real?"

Sam: "Yes kiddo I am. By the way, I can clearly see you are enjoying the view since you are standing here. Aren't you?" He winked

Casie: "I am sorry. I will wait outside." I said embarrassed

Sam: "It's fine. just give me 2 minutes. I will just grab a shirt and shorts."

Within seconds Sam changed and we headed towards the garden.

Casie: "Why your face is red as a tomato?"

Sam gave me a look like I am going to kill you.

Sam: "I can't believe I will be spending my day in the garden cleaning and watering."

Casie: "As if you had better things to do anyway" I murmured

Sam: "What did you say kiddo?"

Casie:" Nothing important. We have reached the garden."

We saw 2 angels who were watering the grass and have kept dried leaves on one side- Tammy and Dylan. Upon seeing us they greeted us and informed us that they have already cleaned the dried leaves. Only watering plants and grass is left. We thanked them.

Sam: "Casie, Please take the collected dried leaves and put it in the potion room. The room is at the end of the garden. Left side corner. You will have Maria there. She has expertise in identifying and sorting leaves according to their use."

Casie: "Dried leaves are kept in Potion room?"

Sam: "Yes. These leaves are not ordinary leaves. They are magical leaves. They help in the preparation of various potions."

Casie; "Ok and who makes the potions?"

Sam: The witches.

Casie: Really? I haven't seen any witch here in the kingdom.

Sam: "That's because they don't stay here. Do you see that mountain covered in snow?" Sam pointed on a mountain we can see from the garden around some 20-30 miles away ."This is where the witches live. Witches like cold weather and so they prefer living on mountains"

Casie: "Ok. I will give it to Maria."

I left the garden and headed towards the potion room.

Casie: "Hi Maria. I am Casie. I have bought dried leaves from the garden for you to store it."

Maria: "Umm hi. where are Tammy and Dylan? I haven't seen you here before. Are you new?"

Casie: "Yes I am new here. I have arrived 3 days ago."

Maria: "Oh great. So how do you like here?"

Casie:" Actually this all is quite new for me so I sometimes feel overwhelmed with so many new things"

Maria:" I can understand. When I came here I took a while to adjust here. Don't worry you will get used to it in some days."

Casie: "Thanks, Maria. I will see you around"

I left and came back to the garden. Sam was holding a water kettle and was gently watering the grass. O boy he was looking so cute like an innocent baby.

Rosy: "Hey Angel be careful. You are putting too much water on my skin. I might catch a cold and then will look pale."

Sunny: "Anyways you don't look bright and so much glowing like me so you should be fine. I have the perfect natural radiance glow"

Rosy: "At least I don't have to move my neck every time like you as per the sun direction."

Sam: "Both of you keep quiet otherwise I will put whole water from the kettle on you."

Strawberry fruit: "Hey Bro, I don't need much water. Just sprinkle a little to make me shine out."

Cherry fruit:" Strawberry brother You still need water, My red radiant skin is such that it shines on its own. I don't need water to make me shine more." Said cherry proudly

Sam gave me an angry stare which says Casie I cannot tolerate this bullshit. I will wait for my payback time. I ignored him.

Casie: "Hey all. You all are really so friendly and lovely. It breaks my heart when you argue and compete. You know my snooty was also like you people-beautiful, shiny, glossy, and comfortable. I miss her so much. She was with me for the last 2 years but the bond we shared was really close.'

Sam:" You really liked snooty. Don't you?"

Casie:" Yes we were inseparable"

Sam: "So how is your GIRLFRIEND holding up now?"

Casie: "GIRLFRIEND? Snooty is my little, sexy, red car that crashed with me in an accident."

Sam: "Gross you gave name to your car. You are nuts. Did you gave name to your hairbrush here as well?"

Casie: "You mean Harry?"

Sam: "Seriously? Did you name your hairbrush? You are insane."

Casie: "No I am not. It's quite normal. You are just boring."

Sam: "Did you called me boring?"

Casie: "Yeah...So??"

Sam immediately splashed water on me with the water kettle.

Casie: "Hey stop, you are making me all drenched and soaked"

Sam: "Now who is boring?"

We came close to each other and started looking into each other eyes. I took away his water kettle from his hand and then splashed water on him.

Sam: "Casie I will not leave you. Give me back my kettle"

Casie; "I am not giving it back to you. And all fruities and flowys I guess you all have got enough water so now just relax and enjoy. Try not to kill each other when I am away."

Rosy & sunny: "Yes Casie. You are our favorite angel. Cya"

Cherry fruit & strawberry fruit: "Bye Casie. See you later"

Casie: "Sam please get changed. You are looking a stupid drenched winged angel."

Sam:"It's your fault." Saying this he walked away briskly towards his room.
