Chapter 4 - The General of The Knights

The brother and sister got into the villa that their father bought for Elena. Axel carried Elena in his back. Feeling his sister's body became so thin, he scolded her, "I just left you for two weeks, look how thin you are. Tell me the truth, just what kind of food you eat for the past two days?"

"I don't feel any changes in my body. Brother El, please do not be so exaggerate!" Elena pouted her lips. She actually ate three meals a day. But, what kind of food she ate, only she knew.

"Girl, I feel you too light. When I carried you before, you don't feel this light."

Elena glared at her brother, even though he could not see it. She hit Axel, feeling so annoyed and said, "So you mean that I was heavy before? How mean! Let me down!"

She struggled so much while Axel tried keeping his balance steady. "Baby girl, please stop struggling! You can fall down!"

She stopped but never let her lips curled up and said, "I don't care! I hate you!"

When Axel heard that, he finally stopped teasing his sister and let her down. She crossed her arms and stomped her feet, going back to the house.

"Baby girl, are you angry?" Axel tried keeping his distance closer to Elena.

While Elena ignored him, she came into the house and looked someone so familiar. There was a man with black hair and blue eyes sat in the living room. As soon their eyes meet, Elene's gaze brightened and run towards that man. "Father!"

She hugged her father happily and automatically sat on his lap while intertwined her hands around his neck. "I miss you, father!"

The corner of Lucas's lips curled up while hugged her daughter back. No matter how many times she grew up, she still a child in his eyes. "I just left you for a week, now look at my daughter talks so formally and looking too thin!"

Elena pouted and whined, "Why are you guys even coming here? You just want to bully me!"

"See, I am never wrong. Even dad told you that you became thinner." Axel came in and walked closer to the pair of father and daughter.

Axel continued, "Father, this is not good. Let's take her back. I can't stand watching her became so thin in just a few days."

Lucas pondered and agreed with his second son, while Elena's mouth opened. She thought that they were crazy enough to take her back home just because they felt that she was too thin. Wasn't that because they did not want her to stay here?

Elena rubbed her forehead, suddenly feeling dizzy. She chose to act cute in front of them. Just did not underestimate the power of the pampered girl. When you did, then you would find yourself kneeling in a second.

She leaned her head to her father's shoulder. "Daddy, I spent my life being pampered with you and brothers. I feel like I will become dependent on you guys. How am I going to live independently when I have a husband later? I will be as useless as trash!"

Obviously, they didn't mind indulging and pampering Elena. They felt happier instead. However, when they heard the word husband from her mouth, their eyes wide opened. Lucas replied, "If you worried about your husband, do not worry. We will take care of you until you feel you would not need their existence."

Axel nodded. His father's statement was already enough to represent his feelings. "Sister, you are our only princess. Who will we indulged and pampered if it is not you? The one who dares to call you useless must be too tired to live, aren't they?"

"It is not that, brother El. You are already in twenty-five. One by one, I know that later you will find your partner and have a family with them. Then, I will live alone. So, you know what I mean, right?"

Axel clenched his hands secretly. What his sister told him actually the reality. He never knew that this sister of him already thought so much far away in the future. He himself did not actually sure how and when he would meet with his another life.

Hearing these words from her daughter obviously shook him. Lucas felt his heart ached but in the same time, he felt proud when he reminisced the time that passed by quickly. Surely, his lovely daughter grew up too fast.

Lucas then patted her head and hugged her tightly, "Elena, you are still young. You do not need to think about this. We are still here for you. Just live the way you wanted, alright? If you wanted to live here, then we will allow it. It does not matter if you thinner, we will pay attention to your diet."

In her father tight embraced, she quietly curled up her lips. She nodded softly while said, "Okay. Talked about diet, I kinda feel like a hungry, dad."

"Sure, let's eat. You want to go to restaurants?"

"I want to eat your food, daddy. Will you cook for me?"

Lucas smiled. He kissed her daughter's forehead before put her down from his lap. "Of course, wait here."

"I love you, daddy!" Elena brightened up and kissed her father's cheek.

This fifteen-year-old young lady grinned happily when her father said that he allowed her to live in here. This general of the knights in her family held the last decision. If the general said that, what could the mere knights do?

Seeing her cheeky laughter came from his sister make Axel annoyed. He knew that it was his sister doing. But, he couldn't deny that his father and he himself became his slave since she was born. He sighed softly before sitting beside her.

They were just quietly while watching the tv shows. At first, the channel showed them a piece of news. But, Elena changed it into a drama channel. Axel just shook his head helplessly. He would never understand why girls always captivated by drama.

Suddenly, his phone vibrated and he walked to the study room before answer it. "Hello, elder brother. What's up?"

"Don't 'what's up' me. Tell me how Elena doing."

"Not good. She looks thinner than before. Also, she already made her father said okay. So, we couldn't do anything to take her back."

"That cheeky little sister. So, are you done with the task I gave you?"

Axel looked to the scenery from the window. He shook his head as a response to the question. "No, she really kept it hidden. I do not know the main reason she chooses a school in this country. But, the other reasons are she was afraid of being left alone when we have our own family."

The elder brother sighed softly on the phone. He felt helpless like what Axel felt earlier. "Then that means we loved her less until she thought like that."
