Chapter 8 - If Glare Could Kill

So it was true. Her name was Elena Heath. He thought that the information from Jayden might be not accurate. But, it wasn't.

He looked at her little hand that held out his hand back. He didn't know why, but this size of her hand made him want to hold it longer.

Suddenly, she retracted her hand. He felt empty for some reason and it really made him uncomfortable. But, he quickly brushed off his thoughts. This was not the time for them. In the future, Dave would make Elena his for sure.

"Maybe it's too late, but are you okay?" asked Dave as he put his hands on his pocket.

Elenna sweetly nodded and smile to him warmly. Knowing that her prince worried about her make her flew instantly to nirvana. "Thank you for your concern. I'm okay."

Hearing her replied, Dave's worry washed away. He nodded, "Glad to know that. So, can i kn—"

Before he could finish his sentence, there was a loud of rumbling sound. Elena's face automatically turned red while Dave laughed silently.

"Should we go to the canteen?"

Elena nodded without hesitation. Even though she felt embarrassed, but this was a rare chance. Maybe, she could get closer to him.

"What is wrong with him? Leaving me all alone in the class!" 

Jayden walked out from the class to catch up to Dave, but what welcome him was tge sight of Dave's back stood in the corridor.

Just before he reached to Dave, he heard a voice. "It's quite late to have lunch. I hope we still get a table."

Jayden petrified. Who was that? A friend of Dave?

Jayden quickly remove that thought. Friend? No way. He was for sure remember that this friend of his was not someone who had many friends.

His friend could be counted by fingers!

Unfortunately, how much he wanted to know, he could not. All he could see was their back. This was really a shocking news to him. Even successfully made his hunger fade away.

Elena desperately wanted to make a chance to be with him. But what she didn't know, Dave also had the same thought. Because of that, they would make a quick progress to their relationship. But of course, this would not happen for now.

They leisurely talked to each other. They wanted to know about each other for more. Because of this, they didn't realize that they already in the canteen.

The smell of food made Elena react first. "Dave, i think we already in the canteen."

Dave immediately looked around to his surrounding. "You're right. What do you want to eat? Let me treat you."

Elena dumbfounded from his word. "It's okay. I can buy myself."

JHS Canteen was wide and the school also provided a lot of tables. But, the canteen still packed with students. She even couldn't see any free table.

"No, just think that it's my compensation from the bump before, please?"

Looking at Dave, Elena's heart warmed. She obviously wanted to reject his treat, but how can she did that? He must felt dejected if she rejected him again. So, Elena nodded and Dave's expression brightened up.

His lips curved up and smiled widely. That sight of his quickly became the center of the attention in the canteen. All the girls was dumbfounded as they looked at Dave's smile.

"Look at that. Isn't that Davian Helsinki? The heir of Helsi Corporation?"

"I thought he's not the type who smile often. So, what am i seeing?"

"Damn, my prince. He looks so perfect!"

"Hey, why is the cold prince of Helsi Corporation smile?"

"Look, look, look! He is with a girl!"

"Who is that? His girlfriend?"

"No way, i heard that he is still single!"

"So, who is she?"

All the girls excitedly whispering about Dave and Elena while the person in charge didn't even realize.

"What do you want to eat? Let me order and yo-"

Dave looked around the canteen and found out that all tables full. He looked around and then found some guy and his friends already done with their meal but still not stood up.

He reached out to them and said, "Good afternoon, seniors. If you guys have done with your meal, could i sit in here?"

The group of students, consist of two boys and two girls, that wearing a blue tie looked up. They absolutely didn't expect that someone would drive them away.

The girls didn't find Dave annoying, instead looked at him with amazement. How could they ignore and reject that handsome face?

While the girls enjoying the sight of Dave, the boys didn't. They found him annoying because he could instantly steal the attention they were struggling to get from the girls, yet he took it all.

Jonah Wayne, one of the seniors, replied as he click his tongue, "You know that we are seniors, yet you still dare to chase us away?"

Dave raised one of his eyebrows, feeling confused and answered, "I'm just asking because i saw you already done with your meal."

"Go away, look at the other place. I won't give you this table!" said Steven Gerrad who sat beside Jonah.

Dave's expression darkened while he glanced at them coldly. It just merely a table, yet they became so arrogant not wanting to gave their table away.

Looking at Dave's expression, Elena became worried. She knew that this senior of them just gave them trouble. She quickly came to him and stroked his shoulder.

"Dave, let's just go."

The appearance of Elena without fail caught their attention, especially for Jonah and Steven. They were shocked when they saw her. How could a girl became so beautiful like that?

"Well, I don't like to be fierce especially for girls. Maybe if it's the girl beside you begged us, we would gladly leave this table for you."

Dave almost lost his sanity if Elena didn't hold his hands. He clenched his fist so tightly. He gritted his teeth, as though he was chewing their limbs out of their body.

Although a mere of glare could not kill people, Jonah and Steven were frightened with Dave's glare. They felt goosebumps in every each of their body.

"Just leave them alone, why don't we have lunch in the school park?"

Without even looking at the seniors, Elena stared at Dave warmly. Being stared warmly, Dave softened and his gaze looked at her back.

"Alright, I'd do anything you want."

Elena's heart raced up rapidly. She didn't know if Dave even realized that he said that, but her face turned red instantly.

Elena, without excusing themself, hold Dave's arm and fled away.
