Chapter 9 - Invited Him to Kiss

"Dave, are you out of your mind?"

Elena pinched his arm when they successfully fled away. She wasn't expecting that this guy beside her could be so ignorant and arrogant in front of their senior.

Still in his annoyed face, Dave bit the chocolate bread in his hand. "I am not."

Hearing such answer from Dave, Elena sighed hard. Her heart still raced up rapidly as though she ran twenty laps for one minute.

Looking at this sight, Dave said as he chew the bread, "Why are you so scared? Did they scared you?"

Elena shook her head. Instead answering, Elena roughly bit her bread.

Dave's gaze emitted his affection for Elena and guilty. He should buy her a proper meal instead a bread and a milk. Remembering the incident earlier made his fist clenched up again. He should gave them a lesson. How dare they ignore his words?

But, it was not like he didn't like the afterwards. Here they were in school park, under the huge tree, just the two of them. He lowered his head lest she discovered his blushing face.

He immediately adjusted his expression and cleared his throat before called her, "Elena..."

"Yeah? What's wrong?"

She answered while looked at Dave in the eyes. Dave would never know that in this world, there were a pair of beautiful green eyes. He felt regret because he found out too late. 

In that second of time, Dave felt the urge to cupped her face and kissed her. But, Dave knew that he had to resist that.

"I owe you a proper meal."

Hearing the words from Dave, Elena choked as she replied loudly, "What?"

Dave gave him a milk and patted her back softly to relief her choked. "Why are you eating in a hurry? There is no one will take your food."

It was because he said something shocking that made Elena choked!

"Tell me, what did you say earlier?"

"What? No one will take your food?"

"No, Dave. Before that!"

"I owe you a proper meal?"

"Yeah, that! What did you mean with that?"

"The literal meaning, of course."

"Listen, Dave. The bump i did before was literally just an accident. You pay me with this bread already, you can't treat me again. I feel like taking advantage of you."

Hearing what she said, Dave found himself somewhat happy. He knew this girl different from any other girls.

She was dependent and could differentiate the wrongs and the rights. Somehow, he felt proud for finding this girl.

He chuckled before answered her, "I'm okay with that."

"I'm serious, Dave!"

"Me too."

Elena sighed loudly. How could this guy became so stupid? Enough! She didn't care anymore whether she could make a chance or not with him.

"Are you angry?" said Dave as he looked at her pursed lips.

Honestly, she looked really cute when she was angry and her pursed lips, that lips as if invited him to kiss it.

Dave rubbed his hand to her silky hair. "I'm sorry, but I really want to treat you to a proper meal."

Elena sighed again and looked into his eyes. She said, "I'm not taking advantage of you, you understand?"

Dave nodded. The corner of his lips curved up and whispered to her, "Tomorrow, I'll wait in front of your class."

The sound of his deep voice rang in her ear, made her goosebumps all over her body. Her body suddenly turned hot as ever. Her face blushed red like tomato.

That sight fascinated Dave so much. Before he could teased her anymore, he heard the bell ringing.

"That's the bell! Hahaha...."

Elena awkwardly stood up and laughed. Dave also stood up and smirked at her. Elena who was being smirked at didn't notice that and started to walk inside the school building.

Before she could leave any further, Dave caught her arm. His action without a doubt stopped Elena and shocked her.

"W-what else?"

"Let me walk you to the class."

Elena exclaimed in surprise, "What?!"

How many times already has she been shocked like this? Won't he spare her heart already?

Without even answering her question, Dave already walked ahead first. "Be careful lest you late."

"Hey, wait for me!" said Elena when she snapped back into this world as she followed him.

For sure, Elena and Dave walked side by side with warm aura around them caught the crowd attention. They started to murmuring about them, especially when they arrived in front of Elena's class.

"Well, then. Thank you for taking me back to the class. Study hard." said Elena awkwardly. Without even waiting for his reply, Elena head back to her chair.

After knowing she already safe and sound in her seat, Dave also went back to his class. What he didn't know that after he went back, the girls in Elena' class loudly screaming excitedly.

Without Dave's knowing, his identity already spread around the school. His looks, his background, and also his characters made his reputation growing up.

Dave now literally was a male idol in JHS. Of course, Elena didn't know it. Because it only happened in one night. How could she knew that when her father and her brother in home?

"Woahh... Elena, what jackpot did you hit yesterday? How can you walked side by side with our school idol?"

Julia Cyrus, her friend who sat beside Elena, asked her something unbelievable. Idol? What was that?

"I'm sorry, Julie. Am I hearing things? What's with that idol thing?" Asked Elena.

Julia chuckled as she answered, "You're too outdated! Yesterday, there was a girl in his class that actually asked his name and found out that he was from Helsi Corporation. The one and only heir of Helsi."

"What? Are you sure about that?"

"Absolutely. You know right how Helsi Corporation plays a big role in this country? Thus the girls became crazy and finally made a fanbase for him."

How could she knew? She was not from here and Helsi Corporation?

"Woah... I didn't know that he has such a big background." Elena replied as she clenched her hands. She knew that his family had a company back then. But, she clearly didn't realize how big it was.

She bit her lips as she nervously saw the place where Dave stood before. She looked back at Julia and asked her, "Then Julie, do you know HM Corporation?"

"How could I not know about it? It's such a big company. Why did you asked that Elena?"

"If you compare Helsi with HM, Who's bigger?"

Julia rubbed her chin as she thought about it. "Of course, HM. Everyone will answer the same thing. Yes, Helsi is big but HM is bigger."

Elena sighed loudly. She just hoped that her family didn't destroy Helsi after knowing her relationship with Dave.
