Chapter 27, the honeymoon

“Are we going to London? Is that where we're going?” Christine kept guessing places they were going, but she had no clue.

“Just a stop…trust me its long plane rides, but you’ll like it.” Alex liked watching her squirm with curiosity.

“Plane rides? How many planes are we taking on this trip?” Christine was curious about how many planes they would be taking.

“It’ll be four stops I know it sounds long, but trust me you’ll like the ending,” Alex smirked as he kept the destination a surprise.

“I do trust you well let’s get onto the plane for the first stop.” He felt bad for most of the honeymoon being on planes, but it’ll be worth it in the end.

“The Rockies or another stop you’re confusing me?” Christine was so confused she had no idea where they were going.

“Just another stop there’s two more including where we’ll be staying.” Alex sighed almost tired from the other two plane rides...

“Well it’s not too bad and we’re almost there so I don’t mind.”Christine smiled and fell asleep on the last flight to their destination. Once they finally landed at their final stop Alex knew she was going to be happy.

“Christine…Christine mi rosa time to wake up were here.” Alex gently woke her up as everyone was getting off the plane and didn't want her to miss getting off.

“Yawns, where exactly is here?” Christine groggy and confused from jet lag was lost on where she was.

“Look out the window and find out.” She gets up from his lap and sees palm trees in the distance and a tropical beach kind of like theirs at home only just a little better.

“Oh-oh we’re in Honolulu, Hawaii aren’t we!?” Christine finally getting excited about where she was guessed where they were.

“Yes we are, and right now the only thing that matters is us.” Alex just wanted to enjoy the honeymoon. They finally got off the plane since the flight attendants were getting antsy to get the next set of people on. They finally get to the terminal to find their luggage and she was so excited to see everything for the first time. She had never been to Hawaii before and had always wanted to.

“Ooh, where are we going?” Christine got all excited about where they were going.

“Well, my parents did the reservations as to their wedding gift to us so I’m not sure but they said someone was going to be waiting for us,” Alex smirked as he revealed the surprise gift from his parents. Christine smiled at the thought of her new in-laws doing this sweet gesture for them.

“How nice of them lets hurry to the room then we can be alone.” Christine was....anxious to get to the hotel room to put it nicely.

“Oh, you are my beautiful and sassy woman!” Alex smirked some more and started to kiss her.

“Oh save the crazy wolf for later you got to behave in public,” Christine smirked too and kissed him back.

“What is this behave you speak of? If I had it my way I’d chain us tightly together and throw away the key so we’d be together forever.” Alex smirked as he wanted to get...frisky with his new bride.

“We’re married now, we are together forever,” Christine smirked too. People always said marriage was just a piece of paper or a ball and chain, but it wasn't to her...she had always dreamed of falling in love with the right man and 

“I know I just wanted you to say that.” Alex couldn't stop smiling at his bride.

“Oh you little trickster always teasing me but it's fun and I’m not going to complain.” Christine smiled at Alex lovingly.

“Something I’m not messing with…I want you…I want all of you…forever…you and me every day…” Alex meant every word...he felt so happy with Christine. He didn't have to hide around her like he had to in his past...

“Aww, you’re so sweet!” Christine smiled and gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek.

“Then you’ll like this…I eagerly wait for the time when we kiss and we’re alone so nobody will bother us.” 

“Oh I can’t wait for that part of the honeymoon, but my guess by the sign, I got to get used to my new name, that this driver is for us.” They finally got their luggage and was looking for the 

“Guess so…Mrs. Rodríguez…” Alex smirked at the other surprise that his parents set up for them. They set up a driver to pick them up at the airport to take them to their hotel which was the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. It's on Waikiki Beach, and not only is it steps from the beach, but the resort is also centrally located, so it's a convenient walk to restaurants, shopping centers, even the Waikiki Aquarium and the Honolulu Zoo. In the middle of the resort, there's a large pool and hot tub. Navigators from the Polynesian Voyaging Society named the resort's five suites after significant celestial beings, and a Polynesian canoe hale, or house, is prominently featured in the hotel entrance. “Oh just shut up and kiss me!” They finally got to the hotel and couldn't wait to unpack. He didn’t delay that at all as he did before. He was eventually going to do that anyway the fact that she asked him just made it better. Once the bellboy of their hotel finished carrying their luggage Alex had one more thing to carry in…his new wife…

“Whoa hello, you’re strong!” Christine squealed as Alex picked her up with ease.

“All the better to carry you with my sweet wife and saying that won’t ever get old.”

“You’d think I’d get used to that.”

“I’m sure you will, but now that we're in Hawaii…what do you want to do?”

“How about we go to the beach my mom told me about this deserted beach that people have forgotten about.”

“Oh, now we're talking! Before we leave why don’t you see what my mom packed for you?”

“Ok, she opens her suitcase, new bikinis nice taste, ooh new clothes…I could get used to this!”

“Well glad you like it now get into your bikini so we can head to the beach!”

“Ok, but you’re not going to see it until we get there.”

“Aww fine, but don’t take too long we’re going to have some fun when we get there.”

“You mean normal fun or…’ fun’”

“I’ll surprise you, but pick the sassiest bikini in there.”

“They all are…hmm I’ll just surprise you ha-ha.”

“But I know what she picked so it won’t be a surprise but seeing it on you will be a surprise just don’t take too long.”

“Alright…” She goes to the bathroom leaving him with a smirk on her face to see her go to another room…which she knew he liked when she had her new clothes on she had the pleasure of watching his eyes pop open wide like a cartoon.

“Oh put your eyes back in your head…come on let’s go.” He could only imagine what she had planned if she was wearing a red satin top with new shorts and red 3-inch wedges…when they got to the beach it was like nobody had touched it. It was just the two of them and they liked it that way. She had his favorite smirk on her face like times before he’d jump around on the rocks and wondering if he’ll chase her. Slowly he took off her clothes revealing a dark blue, red, and black bikini with a sheer black cover with red and blue beads on the edges. As her change of clothes she has a V-neck nightgown with black satin with lace on the neck the actual gown was red and black.

“Your drooling again Alex.”

“Not my fault your beautiful and beyond gorgeous. You look so beautiful!”

“Aww, Alex you spoil me.”

“Well you deserve to get spoiled, but I got some ideas for you before we do anything.”

“Oh, and what would that be?”

“I’ll take you shopping for a dress, then we’ll do dinner, I’ll let you shop as much as you want and after that, we’ll do whatever you want.”

“Oh I like that but for now let’s stay here you know how much I love the beach…but nothing can be as wonderful and handsome as you.”

“Aww shucks Christine, but you’re right let’s stay here…oh here let me get you down off that rock.” He grabbed her by her waist to get her down from the rocks and once she was down they sat on the rocks and watched the sunset.

“This sunset is just breathtaking! I miss you too dad…”

“That’s not the only thing that’s breathtaking…” as he says that he looks at Christine…she smiles and starts to blush, but slowly moves closer to him and he wraps his arms around her and doesn’t want to let go of her.

“Aww, Alex this first night in Hawaii has been so much fun, and bet it’ll just keep coming.”

“Of course it will but glad you like it here. Anywhere I am as long as I’m with you I’ll be ok and happy.”

“Aww if we were together before I met Antonio I’d listen to ‘Beyond the Sea’”

“Sung, somewhere beyond the sea…my lover stands on the golden sand and watches the ships that go sailing…she’s there waiting for me…if I could fly then straight to the top, I’d go sailing…”

“Aww, you’re going to make me cry! We’re together now and we’ll be together forever.”

“Yeah we will…do you hear wings?”

“Oh, what does Hermes want now?”

“My lady sorry to interrupt the honeymoon, but your parents wanted me to give you this…don’t shoot the messenger!” He hands her a letter from her parents telling her bad news from her adopted parents.

“Oh no…no tell me it’s not true!”

“What’s wrong something happen at home?”

“Not my Greek home, my London home you briefly met my adoptive parents at the wedding…I wasn’t raised in Greece I was adopted when I was 4 and from what my real parents say one of my cousins died yesterday…she got into an accident and her injuries were too much for her little body to handle…”

“Oh hun, he hugs her, I’m so sorry…how old was she?”

“18 months not even two years old…her name was Chyler…unique name but I liked it. I won’t go into details on her injuries it’ll just make me cry…”

“Aww, I’m sorry I’d understand if you want to go to be with your family…”

“I’m not sure what I’ll do…but a good cry, some music and you always make things better.”

“That’s fine but I’m here for you if you need me.”

“And when I don’t but I hate being away from you…you always make things better.”

“Well let’s enjoy your dad’s sunset and let’s go on a walk.”

“Yeah, a walk is probably what I need.” He put his arm around her waist and he just let her cry and she cried for an hour.

“Hey, babe you feeling better you still look a little puffy-eyed?”

“Yeah slowly you and music have helped a lot but I still need time.”

“That’s fine take all the time you need. You sure you don’t want to be with your family or do you want to stay?”

“I want to stay I didn’t know her very well.” Christine still sad about the loss of her cousin and was glad to be distracted by the honeymoon. 

“Alright and don’t worry I’ll cheer you up.”

“Oh, I know you will oh, and did I reveal my surprise?”

“Reveal what dare I ask?”

“My bathing suit…” Christine got confused, she thought he'd like it.

“Um, babe you did that a couple of hours ago. We did that while we were chasing each other remember?”

“Oh, right I did duh silly me. Guess I’ve been distracted…you think I’d notice you ripping off my clothes…”

“Yeah probably wouldn’t be the first time.”

“Hey, I pay attention sometimes…”

“Yeah sometimes being the keyword.”

“We’re together now…and I get to have you forever.”

“Ooh, I love it when you say that!”

“I know it’s crazy and yet kind of funny…going from mysterious acquaintances who just met in the city to husband and wife.”

“Yeah it is…but look around we’re all alone now where were we…” Alex smirked and started to lean into her.

“Ooh, such a naughty wolf…I like it.”

“I knew you would, smirk, kiss me my rose.” She liked the sound of that...

“Can this night get any better…I got you and the moon shining on your beautiful face.”

“Aww, Alex I’m not sure anything can get better than right now.”

“Just sway with me.” So they swayed in each other’s arms he did a little spin to get her in a cradle position so he can get his around her waist…from afar there was a faint sound of music or maybe it was her dad providing mood music.

“You hear that Christine?” Alex was confused about where the music was coming from. He thought it was probably a local restaurant having live music.

“Yeah I do, smirks, my dad is providing us with mood music…he knows what I like.” Christine smiled knowing that her dad was trying to cheer her up. Alex just liked seeing her smile and happy.

“He knows what I like…see your pretty smile makes me happy.”

“Aww Alex, hugs, will you dance with me?”

“I’d be honored to…” They just danced to the song ‘Beautiful’ he wasn’t a bad dancer, but she was just happy to be in his arms…so they swayed in a cradle position for the rest of the night.

“I’m happy we’re together forever…I got the most beautiful woman in the world.”

“Aww, I love it when you spoil me!” They continued to sway in each other’s arms to the song and both of them smiling so big that it surprised Christine a little bit.

“I don’t see you smile that much.”

“I’m always smiling somewhere. If not on my face then in my heart because I know I’m with you.”

“Aww, that’s so sweet! I love it when you’re romantic.”

“Well, what makes me happy is seeing your glimmering eyes every day.”

 “Aww, you’re going to make me cry!”

“Don’t cry my love…would one of my hugs cheer you up?”

“Yes please…I like your hugs it’s like I’m hugging a soft teddy bear.”

“Well glad I make you happy.”

“You always make me happy.”

“I love you, my goddess.”

“I love you too my wolf.” As the song was playing the chorus Alex was lip-syncing to the song lyrics.

“When it comes to shooting stars I’ve seen a few, no I’ve never seen anything as beautiful as you.” She couldn’t help but blush and smile when he did that for her.

“You want to go back to the hotel, my angel?”

“Yeah, you’re making me tired its good we got an oceanfront room we still get our beach. Well, I know you can lift me.”

“I thought you wouldn’t ask…” He carries her back to their room for the night she couldn’t help but giggle and blush a lot thinking to herself how strong he is. They were tired from being on the planes and it was a long day at the beach…the next day Apollo woke them up with a beautiful sunrise…but before Christine woke up Alex went down to the local farmer's market to make Christine breakfast in bed! Eventually, she woke up to the smell of bacon, and who can’t resist that?

“Morning, thought you’d like breakfast in bed today.”

“Aww, how sweet it smells so good!”

“Got it fresh from the market this morning I was going for a walk anyway and saw the fresh fruit and thought it’d be nice to get some, but the rest looked good so I came up with breakfast.”

“This morning I didn’t hear you leave.”

“I was quiet so I wouldn’t wake you and I wanted it to be a surprise.”

“Aww, I love your surprises so what are you making?”

“Bacon as you can smell, a fruit salad, pancakes, fried rice with scrambled eggs.”

“Wow what a feast it looks so good and fresh too.”

“Yeah it is but just relax and we’ll enjoy breakfast in bed today and figure out the rest of the day.” He brought her the feast of food and she couldn’t help but blush hard. She felt spoiled and special.
