*This is in Wunmi’s pov*

It's been more than a month that Tayo and I have been together. I didn't have a problem telling everyone and no one has a problem with us being together except Natasha. Before, she ignores me but now that she acknowledges me, she does some things to just hurt me and when she's in front of Tayo, she behaves like an innocent angel.

When I told Uncle Kayode, Caroline and Tunde about Tayo and I.

"I knew there was something when the both of you first met, again." Uncle Kayode said. “The way you two were both staring at each other was weird for people who just met.”

We all laughed and I responded. "There wasn't anything Uncle, he was kind of mad at me on the first day we met, I don’t even know why."

"All I know is that I saw that there was something or there would be something between you two someday, and don't tell me there was nothing because I'm older than you all and I can see something you all can't."

Tunde on his own way of being cool like the way he always was, except when the both of us are arguing, obviously. "Well Tayo, I know you're a great guy and you didn't intend to hurt her before but I promise you, this time if you hurt my sister I might not be so gentle as the last time. I’ll find you, anywhere you try to hide." Then his face changed into a less threatening one and he was grinning. "Don't be scared bro, welcome." He shook hands and hugged Tayo.

Caroline and Lara were just ecstatic.

"Wunmi?" Tayo called.

I jolted out of my thoughts and faced him. "What happened? Did you say something?"

"So you didn't hear what I was saying? What were you thinking of?" He moved closer to me and sat beside me, touching and rubbing my cheeks as he as always loved doing for as long as I remember.

"I was just reminiscing how we told Uncle Kayo and Tunde about us, What were you saying before?"

He moved a strand of hair that fell on my face. "I said, Ade will be coming next week Sunday."

"Oh really?”

Tayo nodded.

“Has he gotten a real girl this time, or he’s still playing around as usual."

"No." He shook his head. "He didn't say anything like bringing a girl or something."

I widened my eyes as an idea clicked in my head. "Maybe he's coming with someone and wants to surprise us."

Tayo shrugged. "I hope so." he laughed and I joined him.

I shook my head as I remembered Ade, Tunde reminds me of him most times because he doesn't have one girlfriend then, always changing girls like he was changing his boxers.

"We'll be waiting for him." I said and I got up.

I was about to go to the bathroom when my phone rang.

"It's Lara." Tayo said as he gave me the phone.

I wondered why she's calling because I already told her I might be home late.

"Hello girl, miss me already?" I joked as I answered the call.

"Wunmi." I heard her voice, it was like she has been crying.

"Lara, are you okay? What's wrong?" I asked, worry laced in my tone and expression.

"It's Femi." She answered me, still crying.

"Wait, wait for me. I'm on my way home now." I hung up and faced Tayo, who was obviously expecting me to say something. "I need to go now, She needs me."

"Okay, I'll drop you home." He got up, stretching to take his shirt.

"No, don't worry. You need to rest." I refused. He tried to protest but I stopped him. "Please baby." I kissed his lips. "I'll call you."

"Okay, fine.” He sighed. “Send my regards to Lara and call me if you need anything." He walked after me to follow me outside the gate.

"Bye bye. I love you." He said and kissed my forehead before I left.

"I love you too." I waved bye and stopped the next tricycle I saw coming.

*Time skips*

I rushed home and met Lara on the chair loosing her weave-on hair.

"Lara," I called. She looked at me and gestured for me to come sit opposite her. I moved closer and pulled a chair then I sat at the seat in front of her.

"Wunmi, I know you want to ask why I was like that on the phone. I'll tell you."

I nodded my head. "Yes, tell me please. I'm really worried and I need to know why you're like this now as if nothing has happened."

"Well first, I had to help myself to forget that jerk. I shouldn't be crying over some idiot in the first place, he is not worth it." Lara dropped the blade she was holding, as she was done loosing her hair.

"What happened? Tell me? What did Femi do to you?" I asked multiple questions as I wasn't okay with the answers she was giving me.

"I caught him in his house having a great time, I mean having sex with a woman he introduced to me as his cousin." Lara sniffed, forcing a laugh to hold back her tears. "He must see me as such a fool, I believed every word he said." She tried to stop the tears that was forming in her eyes from falling, but wasn’t able to.

"What! How dare he do that to you? Why would he do something like that?” I frowned, confused about the situation. Lara has loved Femi so much that she was ready to give everything up for him, only for him to fuck it up with cheating. One of the worse thing someone could ever do.

“I don’t know, He never complained that I was doing something wrong to him or something, we were always very happy and I never suspected him. Never!”

I moved closer and held her hands, rubbing them with mine. “What did he say after you caught him?" I asked. “Did he give any excuses?”

"The fool was telling me sorry, that he didn't intend to hurt me." Lara laughed again. "It's funny but I couldn't be fooled twice, we're now over and I'm good."

"Lara." I called. “Let’s go through this together.”

"No," She shook her head and pulled her hands from mine. "Don't sympathize with me or tell me sorry please. I'm fine this way, I don’t really want to do anything."

I stared at her as she said those words, I was already expecting it.

"Tell me, what happened at Tayo's place, give me something to cheer up, pretty please." She gave a fake cat pout look.

I frowned at her and she stared at me smiling, I know deep down she's still broken but that’s how Lara is, she doesn't like anyone to sympathize with her, a very strong woman, unlike me.

"Okay Tayo's brother, Ade is coming on Sunday."

"Really? The boy that Tunde reminds you of? That's great." She grinned widely and this time she wasn’t faking anything. "I've been meaning to meet him ever since you told me about him."

I smiled as I was sure I had made her happy, she had always been excited to hear about Ade, and now that she’s meeting him, I hope she’s going to be better.
